How Jobs Are Categorized | Jordan B Peterson

  • The simplest conceptual scheme to categorize jobs is a two-by-two matrix: There are simple jobs and complex jobs. A simple job is defined by repetition, and the best predictor for job success is conscientiousness. A complex job demands change on a regular basis; the best predictors for job success are IQ and conscientiousness.

Mr. Peterson has a high functioning, high conscientious personality character. No Greg, I have not received money for choosing to believe that he is in fact a man of high convictions to his beliefs and takes steps to actually implement and apply his principles to his life and work. Each of us have faces difficulties and he actually chose to correct his and that can’t be easy especially while under the constant watch of the public eye.
I feel compassion and appreciation is the applicable approach with such a public figure not hate and moral superiority.

No way no way no way!
Just started listening to lectures again two days ago! Is he back again?!
Just saved to my watch later list!
Man im telling you. This man did something for me in this society we are going through today. I am in the United States Navy now and ready to graduate with my bachelor's. I'll be moving my way to officer. Words can not express the gratitude I have for this man. Each day I thank God for my little moments of growth. My little moments of growth were so small that it breaks me to tears when I thank God for the beginning stages of me growing because of how pathetic they were but truly remarkable. It was the "make your bed" in work. I did the littlest things. It was nothing to gloat about. But the things I did was like me winning a championship and no different. To say where I am now is unreal. The victories are "technically" greater right now, but it breaks me with thankfulness when I think of those lowest days when watching these videos and I felt that tiny spark and were truly championships.
As Martin Luther King said "If you can't run, then walk, if you can't walk, then crawl". Those crawling moments were some of the best days of my life. Thank you Mr. Jordan Peterson for being God's spark.
The Bible also states what you do on private, you will be rewarded openly before men.

I'll keep it simple. Males strive for status and thus are more likely to work hard in competitive domains.

Aka masculine energy. There is a big difference between feminine and masculine energy

Imagine a 16 yr old robbing a house and finding the safe unlocked... Finds 3 million dollars worth of pure diamonds. Who do you sell it to?? I'm 16 and I live with my mum...

You don't sell it because it ain't yours to begin with. At 16, your energy is better focused elsewhere-- it'll take time and hard work, but play your cards right and the reward will be better than the diamonds.

😉 Dr. Jordan Peterson lost half his IQ due to his illness and treatment. Now he can debate the Prime Minister of Canada almost fairly. 😉

Peterson talks shite, he is wrong about so much stuff but throws in terms like 2x2 matrix which bedevils the brains of people too lazy to read across a subject area for themselves.
Actually, the opposite of what he is saying here is true, Boyatzis did a study in the 1960s for the US army which was commissioned due to the fact despite them hiring the best candidates (based on I.Q) with their results were variable. The research found that competencies, motives & traits which are a mix of cognitive, social and emotional characteristics were the relevant determiners of whether someone could do well in particular jobs. It is also worth pointing out that peer I.Q isn't a constant but a variable and is dependent on activity and environment.
