The #ToyotaSienna has comfortably been a safe choice in the minivan world and while the current model had been around for 10 years, its competitors have always been slightly more appealing in the key aspects that minivan shoppers looked at. For 2021, #Toyota hopes to change that with the all-new 4th-generation #SiennaHybrid, the old V6 has been dropped and while power is down, fuel economy is up to a whopping 36 MPG combined which makes the new #SiennaXSE the most fuel-efficient minivan in the segment.

Who else is loving the fresh new entries in the minivan segment? The Toyota Sienna is now the newest offering and it also happens to be the most fuel efficient! We think Toyota has made the right move here by making it a hybrid only, stay tuned for our full driving impressions on the 2021 Pacifica next month!

My request is for: 3rd generation assist cruise control able to do stop and go traffic, cabin view, hybrid, memory seats, 8 passenger vehicle with removal middle row seats. Right now a mix of oddsey and sienna would be my pick.

I bought the 2021 XLE AWD version about a week ago. We are in love with this vehicle because of the below reasons 1) Kids love the two Capitain seats in second row which slides back a lot and give them a lot of space to put their backpacks and instrumentals etc 2) as a hybrid car, we got great gas mileage at around 35 mpg 3) acceleration is good and the car runs very quietly 4) all the technology such as Apple CarPlay and the 7 USB charging ports 5) and I actually like the new look of the 2021 model, looks like a SUV. The couple things that I wish this car has are 1) seat position memory buttons are not offered 2) the foot-operate door open sensors are nice but sometimes it does not seem to work very well (maybe I need to practice a little more)

I guess you got it just in time, here in Canada they haven’t been available at all it seems and won’t be in Production until at least September… no idea when the 2022 will be available but since it’s still a 4-cylinder that would be a concern for me for those trips over the Appalachians.

      I live in WY.
People here don't have nice cars. So it would've been difficult to sell. Plus there are no BMW/Benz dealers in the entire state.
      We sold it in Colorado.
And it needed a $2k maintenance work.
So it was more like $7k.
      Wasn't easy to let go....lol.
      It was a great machine.
And the $5k was an acceptable offer for us.
Car was perfect, we bought it in Germany.
But it was getting into the over $3k a year to maintain....so we regrettably sold it.
Wife is very happy with her new Hybrid XSE Rav4.

I’m 38 with 3 kids and struggled initially with the stigma of vans... until I saw the new model. We have a ‘16 Sequoia Lmtd, and after looking at other SUVS for our second car, we didn’t want 2 SUVs burning through gas. I buckled down and embraced my decision. I’m feelin’ this van for sure! Although I will miss that IS sportiness ;) with as many family trips we take the 35/36 mpg is amazing with all the room and versatility you get. The only “negative” I’ve come across so far is the 10-20% mpg drop you get in cold weather, but that’s for any hybrid. Overall, love it!

I just picked up our new 2021 Sienna XSE Hybrid with technology package. We already went on a 400mi trip and back already. Great van. Great drive. Handled really well. It responded when I wanted horse power on the highway. The only issues I've found so far is that we used to have a 2017 Sienna XLE, and with that 2017 Sienna, we were able to stick a USB thumb drive into the USB port, and could play MPEG4 cartoons for the kids to watch on the wider screen in the middle row. With this 2021 model, we weren't able to do that as you could only play video files through HDMI. (I still haven't been able to find an adaptor to play my USB thumb drive via HDMI). Also, this XSE model doesn't have the "power folding and extending" function for the outside rear view mirrors. It also doesn't have "driving position memory". Both of those were available on the 2017 XLE. Overall, the van was great. My kids would love it more if we could play their favourite cartoons on the USB thumb drive. Does anybody have the answer?

I have been going back and forth between the Carnival, Pacifica and Sienna. For me all of them have a compromise. I want an AWD with good mileage with great interior build quality. If only Sienna made their interior better or on PAR with the other competition HOWEVER the interior build quality is trash compared to Carnival and Pacifica; this is from the Platinum trim which cost +/- $55k OTD. Carnival is very luxurious but no AWD and MPG is not great. Pacifica you can only have one or the other; AWD bad MPG or no AWD great MPG (plug in hybrid).

This is my take on Toyota's design.
2.5L engine is slow/weak for that heavy van. Hybrid Synergy drive is going to be strained. Stick with the older V6 which gets 27mpg hwy.
Front dash is cluttered and T plastic is waste of space (Annoying on the Prius). Why get boxed in with a stupid piece of plastic that is way up high.
Can't scoot over the passenger side.
Shifter should be on the dash.
Non removable second row seats is a deal breaker.
3rd row seats dont fold flat.
No spare tire. You get Fix A Flat!
No auto liftgate on the LE trim.
    Gas tank is probably smaller.
