offense was better than expected (put up 28 points) with clear opportunities for improvement (short yardage), but the D was very disappointing and that's putting it mildly. almost 500 total yards of offense given up at home along with 39 points? sure hope they can get it figured out and quick
Didnt the special teams get the offense to the redzone or really close to the redzone like twice and didnt they have a really big lucky one time play at the beginning not only that but it took them 8 plays to move the ball 16 yards for one of those touchdowns that the special teams set them up for piss poor offense piss poor defense for a big 10 school
That was not the offense I was expecting. Thought more RPO. Please don’t waste Devon Mockobee this season and make him transfer. That happens he will be in Louisville by the end of the semester. Card has to look off and stop locking on to one. Some nice throws but was having trouble with accuracy down the stretch.
@@MrRukiddin not talking about the QB. Talking about the offense in general. Don’t give me the “fine “ stuff. Honestly the QB had moments but he didn’t look much better. than Plummer. That was a good team and the experience coach just waited, and took advantage.
I feel better after having listened to his responses and his demeanor. Owned everything and definitely hinted at making folks accountable including himself. Lots to improve upon but also lots to still be excited about as well 🚂
EXACTLY - I have been preaching "awareness of the game situation". With that possession, Purdue should have either burned clock or forced FS to burn TO's. They did NEITHER. Result: additional 3 points for FS. The opening kickoff offsides call was inexcusable as well. Purdue MUST stop beating itself!
@@rankedpsiguy1 Coach Walters has to be in charge of in game decisions. It seemed like nobody was involved. The OC called the play. Mockobee scored and nothing happened. The OC is not going to make that call over the HC.
@@johantrenier1685I know that Fresno is a really good team and I knew this team was a question mark. There was things to be optimistic about and things to question it was his first game that was also kindve expected. Purdue went 0-3 in 2018 and beat Ohio state. There’s still time to find identity. If they go out and get smacked by va tech and Syracuse I’ll start to panic.
@@johantrenier1685and I forgot to mention but idk if you watched the big 10 west this week but they looked pretty bad too so I wouldn’t get too down off of this one game.
@@robboppers6551 I’ve been watching Purdue football since 1969. I was commenting about 1 game. 75% of the game they played OK the other, was messy. Hope for the best next weekend.
It was honestly a crap shoot. Being a Fresno State fan means games like this are the norm and rarely do we have a game where my blood pressure isn't sky high. I thought the game was officiated better than most, but they missed a clear TD for Purdue when the back crossed the goal line before his knee hit, but they were able to score the TD anyway a few plays later. Good luck with the rest of the season.
Radio announcers for Purdue bragged on air minutes into the game that Purdue's new corner backs were "The real thing!" ...spouting off before reality of the game.
I realize you are a new head coach and I wish you the best. Scheduling the Fresno State Bulldogs is a dangerous proposition. We are just damn nasty. Sweeney, Dilfer, Vullock, Carr, Carr, Haener. I realize you guys think you are in the Big Ten conference. But screwing with us is not smart. We are a nobody school. LA hates us and San Francisco hates us more. We are some farm kids from the middle of nowhere. And we will tear you a new one.
If Evan Williams didn’t transfer to Oregon, Fresno state could have shut down Purdue’s two touchdowns. Fresno state new safety #27 got to tackle better if he wants to start the next game. Good job DOgS, keep beating the so call Power 5 teams. Go DOgS!
Great game Purdue!!! Good luck the rest of the season!!!!#GoDogs#ForTheV

Barn burner game. It was anyone's for the taking. Dogs were resilient time after time throughout the game basically a shoot out.

Qb was NOT the problem. Secondary can't guard the Coke machine. Card will be fine.

End of the half, new coach, kneel on the ball. 34 seconds turned int 1/2 hour, and a field goal by the wrong team.

Offense played like they have Travis Henry when clearly they don't.
This happens every year, nothing new, new week and another oppurtunity to get a w
Poorly coached team
FRESNO BULLDOGS GIANT KILLERS ANY TEAM ANY PLACE ANY TIME!!!!
Purdue got out-coached, period. Terrible game plan and even worse on time management. We should have hired winner like Fresno State coach Jeff Tedford

Purdue has an fbs record of 17 wins vs top 5 opponents and you call purdue a so called power 5 team, your a clown for that shit.
Not a great game....no defense and bad offensive line play....
