  • Being one of the most iconic hikes in Sedona, Arizona, Devil's Bridge trail will take you to the largest natural sandstone arch in the area. This arch is 54 ft tall, 45 ft long, and about 5 ft in width. Despite its name, Devil's Bridge is breathtakingly beautiful. It is the reason why this trail is also very popular. We've done Devil's Bridge 6 years ago, but we still couldn't get enough of it.

    You did en excellent job with producing these videos! I have never been on a hike and I just finished binge watching a bunch of your videos as well as similar videos and now at age 51, I want to try a hike LOL! What hikes would you recommend for someone like me with zero hiking experience for the Sedona area? Also did you all see snakes on your hikes? I didn’t hear you mention seeing any so I figure I’d ask.

      Hey! Thank you so much for your comment! It made our day ☺️. For Sedona, we recommend starting with Fay Canyon and the loop around Bell Rock. The cave trail is short and sweet as well..should be doable, however, be careful if you climb up the cave. Start with these three and see how you feel, then you can graduate to Devil's Bridge and Birthing Cave. Since it is the desert, there are snakes there. Although we haven't encountered any so far, it's always good to keep an eye out.

      Some hiking tips:
      - Always bring more water than you need, as well as snacks.
      - Always let someone know where you are going and when you plan to be back. It's also a great idea to bring a tracker like the Garmin inreach.
      - Shoes with a ton of traction are critical for hiking.
      - It's okay to take your time, especially at the sections that make you uncomfortable.
      - Always practice leave No trace principles, no littering, no graffiti or carving on rocks or trees, no loud music, and leave places better than when you find them.
      Happy hiking ☺️

    What a beautiful place !! We're going to Sedona this September !!! But,we're not gonna hike . I am not a hiker ,although I'd love to ! Our mom is elderly & has mobility issues ,so hiking isn't our idea . I love nature ,I've always been loving & respecting animals & nature all of my life & I don't wanna disturb them ,try not to as much as I can !! Also as much as love tgem,I don't wanna encounter bears & snakes ,mountain lions in wilderness !! Lol. I have been marked by 3 coyotes before when I was walking my dog ( large dog ) !! We were stalked !! It was very very frightening, but we never ran !!
    I am very excited for our trip to Arizona !! I am praying that my ears won't get clogged ,or popped in desert which I am prone to ! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

      Sedona is such a magical place. There are a couple spots there that you can explore without it feeling like a hike. There is a small loop around bell rock that is pretty much flat. Either way, you are going to have a great trip. There is also the pink jeep tours that are a fun way to explore the wilderness.

    Great video! Thanks for sharing. What time of day did you start this hike? And did you visit on a weekday? I’m curious if it was busy and if you had to wait in line to get pictures on the bridge.

      Thank you so much! We started right around sunrise last time and there was still a little line at top. Luckily it moved pretty fast and we were in and out in probably 25 min.

    Does all 3 trails require a high clearance vehicle? I am renting a cheverlot cruz but I am hoping we can at least do one of these trails. Thanks and awesome video!

    • @ThatAdventureLife
      @ThatAdventureLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only one of the three trails requires high clearance. The other two are directly off of the road. If you click the link below the video you can find a map in the article. We usually park at the Mescal trailhead

    Thanks for your guide info. Next weekend will be our first time to visit there. Is this ok to bring our 3 years kid to this trail? Can we drive our Jeep to the halfway of this trail?

    • @ThatAdventureLife
      @ThatAdventureLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad to help! Is your Jeep lifted? That will make it way easier to get out to the halfway spot. It is probably going to be pretty warm out there. Id get there early and bring lots of water. Please be careful if you bring your kid. There are some pretty big drops there. It's a long ways down and I'd hate to see them fall.

    • @ThatAdventureLife
      @ThatAdventureLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There aren't any gates so I'm assuming you can go whenever you want. Just be sure that you download the GPX so you can follow the trail because if you want to get a really early start it would probably be a little bit confusing in the dark.
