That ridge traverse was insane!!! Videographer, commentator on the run, editor and ski tourer all rapped up in one - impressive! Having fun out there - that's what its all about!
Another incredible video! Thank you for the wonderful content as always 🙏🏻 One video that I personally would enjoy watching would be having you run the Squamish 50k event put on by Gary Robbins. You seem to enjoy suffering, and it would be extremely interesting to see it happen! 🤙🏻
Thanks Kevin! I love Gary Robbins - He's such a legend and inspiration. I'm not much of a trail runner and an ultra totally seems like the ultimate form of suffer. Not sure if I'll make it happen this year but running a trail race is a great idea and totally something I'll attempt at some point in my life!
You know the mountains are big when they appear massive on camera! So beautiful man👌Meanwhile I’m stuck in Ottawa with mountains 1/10 of the size lol. I guess it’s still better than the prairies😅
@@riseandalpine oh I completely agree-we have some big mountains nearby-however with the US border restrictions, travel to the US has been difficult recently. Still, the mountains out west are a sight to see
Absolutely! I used to love skiing park at Grouse Mountain. Used to live in the quiksilver park and on the Cut Jumpline. I was riding alot of park when I was living in Quebec but stopped about 5 years ago after a few concussions. When progressing in the park crashes are less forgiving. The terrain in BC keeps me super amused but maybe I'll strap on the old armada twigs and slide a few rails one of these days!!
I’ve actually heard meth can be usefully tool in the backcountry because it’s heats up your body so much that when you get buried in an avi you melt all the snow around you.

Thanks Bill!! 🤙🤙🤙
I love these back country videos!
Also, the fact that you fly fish makes this channel so much cooler then it already is!
Thanks! - Stoked to have another fly fisherman on board. Lots of fishing content coming this summer!
What a great day you guys had. !!! You'r amazing....
Very cool to see, spooky ridge, lol. I thought of some other names for it. Awesome to see this though. Thanks!
What were some of the names? LOL

Beautiful views! I really wanted to get you a pair of crampons for that traverse.
So Gorgeous man!
Crampons and Ski Strap - two things on my list to buy :)
Worst time to get 🔥 sauce withdrawals on spooky ridge 😅
I know right! I need to create a hot sauce + tube attachment for my helmet for situations like this.
I'd prefer some crampons and an ice ax for that traverse! Nice line man!
Me too!!! Both are on the list to buy for next season :)
So sick...knees must've been shaking on that ridge
Legs felt like jelly once I made it across!!
Inspiring brother . Keep going!
Thanks Bro!
Another banger
Thanks Jonathan!

Seems like an interesting approach. I think I'll stick to an avalanche pack. Let me know if you ever test it out in the field LOL.
