I have 0 experience with AK variant rifles so I did about a year of research before picking one up. After all that research, I settled on what I think my best possible choice was for the price point. The Zastava M70 ZPAP with Chrome-lined barrel, bulged front trunnion and 1.5mm stamped receiver. I haven't even gotten to shoot it yet but it is gorgeous and I am excited!

I think when you speak about these guns made by Zastava you should refer as Serbian guns rather than Yugoslavian, yes some of them are made in during Yugoslavia but no matter when they are made they are made in same Zastava factory in Kragujevac, Serbia and all the components for rifles are made by Zastava in the same factory and i know that because I'm from that city. People today say more Russian AK's rather than Soviet Union ones that's why i think the term Serbian Riffles are more correct than Yugo, at least it matters to us from Serbia. Other than that your videos about AK's are unpair compared to other channels, the level of information you post is unmatched by others.

Always regretted never purchasing Mitchell Arms import M70 preban. I was definitely buying guns in those days. My purchases were more for the quality of workmanship for the Belgium FN FAL and H&K 91. It took me a while to accept the reliability of the AK especially when ammo was first imported for $1 per round. China made me think twice when I bought a case of 5 milled receiver MAK90’s for $225 ea and ammo was $70-75 a case of 1000. Anyway I ramble a lot. I really enjoy and watch and appreciate your videos!

AP = automatska puska = automatic rifle.
    So it is just AP

My man has one of the dopest AK collections I've seen.. Making me feel like I need to get more lol, I'm so upset that I weren't buying or collecting firearms 15 years ago. When everything was super available, an you could find AK47's for 600$s all day..
I can remember several amazing deals, but one specifically that I regret passing up. Was an Egyptian AK, just had awesome wooden furniture on it. An was one of the cleanest setups.

My father and I bought a Yugo sks back when I was 14-15 from a gun show. You could tap the side of it and it would go off. I almost shot my cousins head off with it picking it up off the tailgate as he was walking back from setting up targets in the woods. The bullet was within 8-12 inches of his head. It was covered in grease and looked like it had been threw hell and back. Back then I knew very little about firearms had I kept it I could have easily changed out the internal parts.

    M76 makes me sad tho.
I really want/expect so much more out of it.
since actually 8mm Mauser is a really good bullet for marksmanship, good ballistic coefficient, even good for today's standards.
So yeah, pair that with the knowledge that they didn't just slap a scope on and called it a day.
No the whole package was respected, thick milled receiver, scope matched to the system, cold hammer-forged 20+ inch barrels and a good parent bullet that's even been loaded to the rifle's spec.
Well shit, usually this would result in
