20 years ago Frankton pretty much was the airport, the sports facility and a gas station.
The walking track follows the lake from Queenstown to Frankton Arm and beyond. Very popular track.

LOL, those markets are expensive. I think you're right G&M, the more rural local markets are not aimed at foreign tourists ....hence, their prices are more reasonable.

Take out Queenstown and Milford Sound and the South Island is cheaper than the North Island
We’ve got one huge advantage over North Island, they’re over there and we’re down here and there’s a bloody great ditch to help keep them out!!

@@llorttaf Yes, I admit that I could have asked my question a little better. I understand that you should exchange your currency for NZ dollars. What I wanted to know is if the vendors accept any other form of electronic payment or just NZ dollars.
New Zealand tourist board should give you two a VIP Pass to all theme parks, cruises, bird sanctuaries, monkey sanctuaries etc :)
