Oh my word Elise, I have to confess that I actually own four of those books already! I am thinking ahead for winter! The iconic women book is amazing. I think Rosa Parks's strength and dignity inspires us all, wherever we live in the world. I also love the Frida Kahlo doll - as you say, they are all instantly recognisable, it is quite remarkable. I want to make that little dragon very soon, and Dobby from Harry Potter is also on my wish list!! So excited that the piggies are imminent, I will totally be buying that pattern!

Oh wow some amazing books you have there 🥰, you are so lucky. I have the Iconic women book already and have done The Queen, Florence Nightingale and Marie Curie for my daughter. I also have the first amigurumi treasures book, but not the second. I love the look of the mini kingdom book and could see my 7 month old granddaughter playing with those characters, maybe with her 5 year older sister 🤗.
I want to crochet the Queen Elizabeth doll as well! And I would have loved those Mini Kingdom characters when I was a young! All so sweet! 💫

Love the video, I loved Benedict the Shrew that I bought the book during pre-order so I could get the digital download. I'm making him with worsted weight yarn so he is bigger but I love him. I've had to take a break from him to get ready for a craft bazaar but after Christmas he will get finished.

Unfortunately, I’ve had to take a crochet break because I’ve been experiencing a lot of pain in my left wrist from crocheting a little Halloween witch amigurumi with COTTON yarn!! Grrrr. All I could think of while I was crocheting was your warning about cotton yarn. 🙈 So now I’m off to revisit your video about relieving pain from crocheting. Can’t wait to start crocheting again!

I received the Iconic Women book recently from my daughter. With a note attached that she wanted Audrey Hepburn and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. To say the patterns are easy is a stretch for me at least, but they are beautiful. My Audrey now has two legs, a body and a neck. I'm waiting on my arthritis in my hands to feel better before proceeding on. Fun stuff, but using fine yarn and a c hook is a challenge. All the amigurumi I have done previously has been with a 4 ply and a g hook. New learning curve. But I love the book. I even used one of the patterns in worsted weight yarn and a g hook to practice and created Scarlett O'Hara! Thanks for reviewing the new books and for all your trips and tricks.

I have and love the Mini Kingdoms book, it is honestly amazing. I have only made one of the patterns so far but I learned several new things about making amigurumi already! What I also love is that the hair pieces and hats are interchangeable! I made the 'wizard' body and hat but with the witch hair and I love it. You could make a little witch or princess with any of the hair styles in the book! Plus, the hats are sized well to be used with a lot of other amigurumi as well. I love it!
I am unsure if you have checked it out yet, but one of my other favorite amirigumi books is 'Edward's Crochet: Imaginarium' by Kerry Lord. If you haven't seen it before, give it a look! It has such a cool concept, where you basically 'build' a monster using various arm, leg, tail, and head design patterns built on a standard base by turning segmented pages until you get a combination that you like. It is a wonderful launching point for customizing your own little monster dolls!

Also Anne of Green gables. Read most of not all her books. I want to woman of the world, maybe l will request for Christmas. The only amigurumi I have try to make is a giant snail. I got stuck. It's like you are holding a hand full of magnets! How to pick a favorite? I seem to lean toward animal amigurumi so Benedict is another magnet, lol. Here's a hug for you for hot flashes and all the other fun stuff that goes along with it. It's a journey but saying goodbye to certain monthly things was a gift to me. 😉 I love seeing the amigurumi inspiration you show us. Someday I just may attempt Hedwig. She is such a beautiful thing. Oh my goodness I am bad! I just ordered 3 of those books plus 1 other that I found. Also I had a clover hook in my cart from a video I watched a few days ago. I had $18 in rewards points so I used that too. Giggles. I still haven't found my missing hooks yet,. But I did try my wood turned hooks that I bought from a crafter. I have used them from a granny square pillow I am making and liked them. I did your amigurumi test with the 3.5 hook and was happy. So I have the tools, yarn from my stash and soon will have books. Of course I have your patterns videos to watch too. Oh dear I just prepped a x stitch pattern to do for c'mas. I had better get busy and stop wasting time on TH-cam! Some videos I can work while I watch, others are just time eaters, lol.

@@EliseRoseCrochet before I got sick in April of 21 I was doing some knitting of small animal projects. Last year I was bedridden. I am still in treatments but my cancer has been stable for a year. I am now getting stronger by the week and doing much more. I am deep in the English paper piecing rabbit hole. I am going down at present amigurumi, knitting, and x stitch rabbit holes. I have done most kinds of handwork off and on for most of my life since high school. I am 74 and on my way to 100 if all goes right. I get bored with projects easy, so anymore doing small things. My 7 year old granddaughter is missing me, so I want to make her dolls. She lives in the wilderness on top of a mountain. I miss her too.
I started the bitty bunny girl today! I did t first 2 rounds 3 times and the 3rd round twice before I was satisfied with them. Then I did round 4. Suddenly I was very tired and weak so put it away for today. After rest, food and cold medicine I am better but tired. This is my since April of 21. Plus my hubby has a sore throat this week. I got a surprise today when my new clover hook and 2 of the books I ordered on Sunday arrived. I thought they were to come on Friday. Yes the amigurumi bug has taken hold! I haven't done a lot of crochet in about 30 or more years. I used the make baby rattles out of leggs panty hose plastic eggs lol.

Yep, contacts just don't work for me at all. It doesn't matter the brand and eye drops don't help. 👁👁👁

I don't know of any tutorials. You might want to reach out to the designer. I'm not allowed to make tutorials of other designers patterns. It's against their copyright. Learning to make amigurumi just takes time. You'll be able to crochet them soon! Maybe start with a few easier patterns first and then come back to the Iconic Women. Hope that helps! 🧶🧶🧶

You need to look at the pattern itself and find out what the actual designer says. If you are making your own pattern, you cannot sell it if it is Disney related in any way. That is my understanding, but maybe do a google search to see if someone else has written about this issue. ❤

I do wish they would offer more of them as ebooks though, sometimes the ones i really want aren't in anything but print, and that's devastating when you live in 450 sf.
