I can't change my videos but I can update my website. As of today, I think the BaByliss LoPROFX and BaByliss LithiumFX are the best. JRL is slightly behind them. Then the SNAPFX. Thanks for watching!
Based on my other videos you have commented on, I have stated very clearly that I don’t recommend anything from Stylecraft. The Rebel is decent and so is the Flex. However… The BaByliss LoPROFX and LithiumFX are far superior to both. Since you haven’t used it, I highly recommend you return it and buy something from BaByliss. Check out my website for the list of best to worst: clintmallon.com/best-hair-trimmers
@camxxii I decided before I started to do the opposite of what every other reviewer is doing, by removing the parts about their reviews that I don’t enjoy (ie. Unboxing’s, promoting products because a sponsor is paying them, showing themselves giving a haircut, etc). I always fast forward past reviewers doing a haircut because I think it’s a waste of my time. Here’s the reality: Every clipper and trimmer cuts hair 90-99% the same. I’ve purchased 30 products at this point and they all do the job. Heck, a $40 clipper or trimmer from Walmart cuts hair pretty well. To me, the main differences between all these devices is explained through words and thoughts, rather than a 5min example of someone’s head being trimmed. Those videos all turn out the exact same. Just my opinion and I appreciate you sharing yours.
Hi, love the videos and info. I saw babyliss came out with a FXONE LO-PROFX trimmer with a blue blade. Is that just as good as this one? What would be the reason to get one over the other? I’m debating one of these or a JRL 2020T. This is will only be for home use. Thanks!
Thank you! The SNAPFX is superior to the new FXOne LoPROFX. The SNAP comes with a stand, a more powerful motor, two batteries, and 8hr’s of runtime. You can find it for $150ish in the description of this video and it’s worth every penny. The FXOne LoPROFX is newer, but not better. It does not come with a stand for the trimmer (the stand is for the battery, which is silly), it only has 2.5hrs of runtime, and a weaker motor. It’s also $180ish. The JRL 2020T is better than both of them.
@@BigGonisYes I zero gapped it. The best part is you can do it by loosening the top blade only which is awesome. If you watch either of my videos about it, I explain how to do it. Have fun and let me know what you think about it!
Everyone! If you’re in the market to buy a new trimmer right now, the best place to learn and compare all of them is at ClintMallon.com: clintmallon.com/best-hair-trimmers I did not create this TH-cam channel or my website to make money - I created it for you. I will not sell out and make videos for sponsors like many of the others on TH-cam. That’s my word.
@amlenic8863 Unfortunately, those aren’t quite the direction I’m going in with my channel, but I can help you here… I would pick the Magic Clip over the Rogue in a heartbeat. Magnetic motors sound cool in theory, but they’re not very good in practice. Rotary and Brushless motors are far superior to Magnetic. I would also take the Magic Clip over the Ergo and anything from the Rebel family: 1. Gamma Boosted 2. SC Rebel 3. Absolute Alpha 4. Protégé The Rebel family of clippers are the most overhyped pieces of junk in the entire industry. The build quality is a 2/10 and Stylecraft is the most overhyped and the biggest letdown of any company I’ve ever tested, aside from Caliber and 4MAS. All three brands make sad products, and I’m done giving them a chance after everything I’ve learned. For $130 or less, the best clipper (By a long shot) is the Magic Clip. If you can afford $165, the JRL 2020T is a masterpiece and makes everything that Gamma/Stylecraft offers look like a joke. If you can afford $200, BaByliss is the champ. The OG LoPROFX can be found on sale right now for $99, and it’s what I use more than anything else.
@amlenic8863 That’s a tough one. I’d say the Magic Clip is up there, and you can find it for around $100. TPOB makes good trimmers but their clippers aren’t worth considering. If we’re talking about the best all around clipper in the world, regardless of price, I’d say: 1. JRL ONYX 2. JRL 2020T 3. BaByliss LoPROFX 4. Gamma X-Ergo …those are the tippy-tippy-top.
The LimitedFX is just a different version of the “Flashlight grip” FX trimmers. No, it’s not the same as the SNAPFX. I don’t really like the Flashlight Grip FX models, aside from the SNAPFX. If you want the best from BaByliss, I recommend you buy: 1. LithiumFX 2. Original LoPROFX 3. FXOne LoPROFX.
@@whowhatwhere2 No, I haven’t. I personally wouldn’t buy anything that’s not from BaByliss, JRL, or Oster at this point. They are the top three brands and they have everything any of us would ever need.

Hey @dre2k20 I wanted to reach out because TPOB asked me to not do a video review the Demon because it’s being discontinued. I will tell you what I think about it here though. For $70-80 bucks, it’s one of the best trimmers on the market for that price. I think the only issue with it is it has a magnetic motor, which is not good at debulking. Aside from that, it has some of the best ergonomics out of any trimmer, the stand is very nice, and it’s good at doing lineups if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s not an “all-arounder,” it’s a hitter. For the same price, nothing beats the Supreme Trimmer Vader though. If you want the Demon, I’d say go for it. There are roughly 200 left (Per TPOB) and your window of opportunity to buy one is closing. Let me know if you have any other questions.
