Absolutely, it functions not only as an anti-handtrap, but also in place of disruption handtraps usually fill, allowing the deck to run more engine and be more consistent overall. Most of the time my wins come from stacking damaged with recycling Gravedigger's, if I do not OTK with Atypus.
@@ryuji8438 This was a special event in Master Duel only allowing one type of extra deck monster. These were not my standard Harpie or Traptrix decks and were definitely not good for play outside of this specific event. That is why I did not post a deck list for them.
@@ryuji8438 Yeah, it is unfortunately, and I used to be a Harpie main myself. Back when Master Duel came out, Eldlich and Tear were popular, Harpie was still viable, but as new archetypes came out, like Labrynth, which despite being a backrow deck, can do everything during your standby phase, completely invalidated Harpie's strength in backrow destruction and Bystial, which made running Simorgh, Bird of Perfection a liability instead of an asset, as it is a Dark type they could banish to summon, Harpie can not keep up with the current meta or even some of the lower tier but still popular decks anymore. Harpie still struggles with its main weaknesses, which is being entirely dependent upon its normal summon, which despite receiving support with Harpie's Pet Dragon - Fearsome Fire Blast, did not help resolve this issue.

@@stoic_hero_tcg Ah, okay. Is a Harpie deck bad to play competitive? Deck looks fun
