I'm glad that it's not just my model that didn't get the right saying on the Royal Crown. This is by far my favorite BA livery and I hope to see it one day if I ever go to LHR. I managed to get this cheap only $140 NZD. Fantastic model video love these
This one was almost $170 pre-order from March, I had to have it so I am going to buy it regardless. This is a great livery and I hope you get to see it. I have seen both the BOAC and the NEGUS on my travels and hope to see this one soon as well. Thanks for your comment and avid video watcher!

@@jefflovesjets8116 I actually do have the other 2 liveries. I got the British 747-400 in the BOAC livery for my birthday and got the British 747-400 in the Negus Retro Livery a week after my birthday and they were both Gemini Jets 1:400 scale
The attention to detail on these models are excellent, and i have all 4 of the heritage BA models/ liveries. The Landor would be my Number one , then BOAC , BEA A319 and Negus. I am awaiting 3 models: Inflight 200, Dreams take flight Boeing 787-9 N1015B , Delta Air Lines A310-300 N385AB and JC WINGS 1/200 EL AL Boeing 787-9 4X-EDF in retro livery. I am looking forward to the new Gemini 200 models these are : TWA Boeing 727-200, American Airlines Boeing 727-200 in Astrojet livery , and Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i. BTW, Nice video Jeff!

They are both great models, but I like the flaps down version as it is more interesting, in my opinion. Plus the slats are also extended and the gear tilts for a better landing configuration. Plus, the Gemini is cheaper. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your answer! Do you have both models, the Gemini 200 and the InFlight 200? As I have been seeing on the web, it seems that the color is slightly different on this 2 models.
I like the Gemini because they have the flaps down versions which are super cool. The InFlight has better gear and the stands are unique to the model they hold which is their advantage. One viewer reported that the mold that InFlight uses isn't as accurate as the Gemini, not sure if agree though. The Gemini has better fans than IF, in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
The landing gear is not removable on this InFlight model. They are now adding removable gear to some of their models but not at the time of this model. The Gemini versions of the BA heritage liveries, and this one which has just come out, does have the removable gear and also comes with the flaps down versions as well which goes great with the gear. I think they may also have two nose gears; one with the compressed shock absorber for the 'landed' look, and one with the shock extended to appear as it would during the approach phase. Given the option, I will always get the flaps down version of any model. I preordered the three InFlight BA retros when they first popped up and it took about 4 months for them to show, Gemini released theirs a few months after that. I got the BOAC livery from IF and Gemini (flaps down) which I love. Either way, you can't go wrong with Landor. I lived in Richmond in the seventies and eighties, watching the 747-200's and Big Tops coming in, as well as the thrice daily Concordes. Thanks for watching!
@@jefflovesjets8116 The flaps down version seems to be long gone but very luckily after much phoning around managed to find a standard one (probably the last official retail one in the country as he doesn’t have a website). My parents were both BA crew and my grandmother BOAC so it’s in the blood, my mother’s family were the other (Windsor) side. Thanks for the info :-)
Get the flaps down version, I am sure it isn't available anymore but pick it up if you can. I got the BOAC retro in the flaps down version and it is awesome!

Very Impressive Model! I have a British Airways 747-400 in the Landor Livery but in the Gemini Jets 1:400 scale.
