Hong Kong Breakfast ► Perfect Scrambled Eggs & Buttery French Toast

- Today we try juicy scrambled eggs and more at the infamous Australia Dairy Company! We join forces with my college friend Kashing and his wife to eat breakfast for dinner. Three combos are presented to us: Fast Combo, Breakfast Combo, and Standard Combo. We choose the latter. Our Standard Combo included Hong Kong Style Milk Tea, Buttery French Toast, Spaghetti in Chicken Soup, Plain O’ Bread with Butter and a side of Ham, and of course, the yummy Scrambled Eggs.
We also visit MBA Art Workshop to get in touch with our inner artist. Thanks so much to Jessie for the meditative painting session :)

The breads looked so so fluffy and dense😍😍 and for some reason that really large pat of butter on the french toast was so satisfying
I love cha chaan tengs. Honestly Hong Kong has so many fancy restaurants to appeal to westerners that expect 5-Star service, but the true gems of that city come from these type of smaller restaurants.

I have to say those eggs at that café look sooo good.. The secret is to slightly undercook it so that it cooks perfectly after you take it off the heat.. Soft and creamy scrambled eggs..!! If there is any brown on your eggs, they're already overcooked..
1:37 they are nice. They are quite assertive because hong kong is very busy. I used to live in Hong Kong for my entire life.

Soft Scrambled Eggs are very easy to make. Crack as many eggs as you want into a owl, Add Salt & Ground White Pepper (I prefer White to having those Black specks). Add a knob of Butter and some Milk or Single Cream. I make mine in the Microwave but it is simply cooking it, Stirring every now and then (In a Pan keep the heat low to Med). Then stop cooking it before it gets to how you want it as it will continue cooking for a few minutes. I like mine just cooked like those were.

to make the HK style french toast, you dip 2 slices of bread in scramble eggs and FRY it in oil. American style you PAN fry a single slice of toast (soaked in egg) in a pan

!st time I visited HongKong was on my R&R from Vietnam in June of 1969,went back in 1971,1972,never been back again except thru the airport on the way to Thailand.

You’re doing so amazing Miss Mina. The restaurant your at reminds me of an American restaurant in Florida. It’s called “Dick’s Last Resort”. They’re known for being rude but having good food. They even give you a paper hat to wear. The employee said they had to go through an audition to be able to work there. If your ever in the Orlando area give them a try.

best way to eat scramble eggs is to add butter during the cooking process. Or else it gets very heavy or dry. I have seen it at some hotels and casino breakfast buffets doing it and it amazing. Milk can make it taste wierd.

I'm from Hong Kong and it's very normal for the people to have bad attitude haha
When I went, I thought they were very nice! Maybe I'm used to fast service because I'm from NYC, but I thought that they just want to get through to everyone quickly and not make people stand in line (I only stood for ten minutes or so). I did eat pretty quickly, because I wanted to move on and see more of HK, and while it's definitely not a slow-paced European style cafe where you can sit for hours, I didn't think they were being rude :) Again, maybe just me!

I think people would misunderstand them because of the tone of their voice. When i was in HK, I thought they were rude but after a day or two, I came realize it has something to do with the tone. Although they are some that are kinda rude esp when they can't help you out coz you only speak in English. Just an opinion though.
