I've enjoyed watching your build, through #31 today. I really appreciate the detail that you have gone into and your talking through your thought process as you made your choices about your build. Fifteen years ago I had my Factory Five order filled out and I was ready to pull the trigger. Then the big recession hit and my plans changed forever but I still enjoy living vicariously through others such as yourself. Your build has many unique parts compared to others that just want to see how many horses they can get under the hood. I'm 73 now so my time for a project like this has past but it's still fun to see what others are doing. I know it won't be long until you are out on the back roads of Maine! Good job and good luck!

Absolutely it helps every bit of your tips and tricks and advice. Help me for sure I’m still working body work for now, but I will be primary soon enough so I will refer back to your videos I’m sure.

I’d love to try to make that trip. I’m not sure if I’ll be done by then, but maybe!

Great job, I wonder why all the "big" FFR cobra painters would rather remove the body from the chassis instead of painting it on the chassis.

I'm sure it would be a little easier not having to mask everything, but for me, it was a little more daunting trying to lower a painted body back on to the chassis without damaging it.

Good observation on the process. I found the logistics of it to be the stressful part, the actual spraying was the reward. Nice job on the primer, it looks like you did the bodywork well. Not easy painting a bowling ball.😂

Ha! Yes it is like painting a bowling ball- great analogy.

Get yourself a roll of plastic vehicle masking...not plastic drop from homedepot. It makes a huge difference in ease when you back mask and have to deal with complex openings. It also holds paint and won't flake off when spraying

Thanks for advice! I actually didn’t know there was that type of plastic available.

@Random Werks it's directional where one side sticks paint and the other doesn't. Well worth buying a roll of it from 3M. Keep it up, looks great!
