She needs the serenity of nature to charge again, while she enjoys touring extremely much. She is a person who listenes, not talk. Who is at the end of the row, instead of the front in real life. Great comment. I haven't been lucky enough to meet her in person, but I've noticed the same. Her stage persona and the real her are indeed quite different. I get that from her stage presence and the videos I have seen with her and Hannes, (and Fenris the dog :). A Beast on stage, but a relaxed person in their own space at home. I think it probably allows a way to dip into the passion on stage. Dunno if that makes sense.
I was today years old when I was introduced to Nightwish! My adult metalhead son is gonna be so pissed I not only love them but also found them before he could introduce them to me. Mmmmwwah ha ha. 😜👍🤜🤛
That transition and build up from 4:20 and at 5:20 when Floor commands "Wembley let's GOOOOO" and GOOOOO it did and Floors silent scream at 8:47 are three of so many highlights during this rollercoaster ride not forgetting Tuomas windmilling like his life depends on it. Epicness right there on that stage with all the trademark Nightwish transitions and multi layering. Thank you John. 🙏❤️😊👍
One of the coolest quotes I've read from Marko, he said once Floor came to the band, he didn't have to hold back on his vocals anymore. He could let it rip right there with Floor. Those two together were magic. WHOA
I always bounce between this, Dead Boy's Poem... and now Shoemaker as being my favorite NW song. 7 Days is one of the first songs I show newbies interested in learning about NW. I just love how it builds... starting mundane... just your everyday rock song, then you get the clean solo, then the breakdown, and by the end... you've got your sword in hand and are ready to jump into battle. That moment when Floor yells, "Wembley... LET'S GO!!!" gets me every time. I've got my sword Floor! I'm ready! Let's goooooooo!!!
You touched on one of my absolute favorite things about Nightwish; Each and EVERY member of the band is an incredibly skilled artist entirely capable of putting on a stunning performance with themself as the central feature, but NONE of them insist on that. They all set aside personal ego to produce the most incredible music they possibly can. Floor is a WARRIOR QUEEN of vocal talents, but does not hesitate to step into the background and provide supporting vocals for Marko, or in more recent works for Troy singing lead. Marko is a full fledged frontman in his own right, but doesn't hesitate to step into a supporting role. Empu can SHRED, but in a song like this spends nearly the entire time setting the atmosphere and tone for the vocals. Every member of the band goes out of their way to do whatever is needed to make the MUSIC the best it can be.
We all know they're talented, but their charm comes from the social contact and respect for each other's craft on stage. They all want the others to shine. And unfortunately you don't see that very often anymore. Seeing them together on stage just makes you wanna hang out with them. And yes, she is a beast on stage. Off stage she's very sweet, modest and down to earth, with a healthy dose of humor. You should check out some of the videos she posted on her channel if you want to judge for yourself. She's done some videos with her horses for instance. You can see how she lives in Sweden. It looks so peaceful there.
Definitely worth to check My opinion Wembley 🔥 Buenos Aires/ Tampere Every concert is different and they delivered unique shows For me Perfect set up of Nightwish 🔥🔥❤🤘❤🔥🔥 She can sing you sweet lullaby and push you from the steps And you don't mind That's our Goddess Floor Jansen ❤🔥🤘🔥❤
Yes, thank you. This is one of my favorite Floor performances. It's an underrated song, but it goes so hard. I know it's been said a million times but Floor just slays.
Tampere 2015. Great sound, open air with a surprise at the very end of the show, you get to hear a solo Marco song, some old stuff, and - like a cherry on top of that all - Floor´s outfit and makeup are PERFECT.
Thank you for this reaction and analysis 🙂👍 For the full concert, everyone will ask Wacken 2013 with good reasons. I would add Hellfest 2022. It's great, Floor is awesome, it's on TH-cam, and there are songs from their last album. Thank you again and have a great day ! 🙂
I'd also include Buenos Aires 2018 where Floor breathed new life in to a number of Nightwish classics that pre-date her time with the band and made them her own. 🙏😊👍❤️
4:46 "Is this, where heroes and cowards part ways...?" Followed by Tuomas calling the crowd to join them, like an alpha male wolf would call his pack, the the alpha female goes 5:30 WEMBLEY LET'S GO! Which unleashed full madness in the crowd, headbanging like crazy. This is a monster of a song.
Nightwish full concerts to check out in my humble opinion: 1-"Showtime, Storytime" - Wacken 2013 2-"Decades" - Buenos Aires 2018 3-"Endless Forms Most Beautiful World Tour" - Wembley 2015 4-"End of an Era" - Helsinki 2005 5-"Endless Forms Most Beautiful World Tour" - Tampere 2015 6-"From Wishes To Eternity" - Tampere 2000 Cheers from Buenos Aires!
This song has a special place in my heart !!! Not just because wolf is Estonian national animal and my spirit animal, but the windmill battle between Tuomas and Floor .... Plus, Floor's inner Wolf Howl !!! holy mother of Odin !!! Floor has 3 distinct styles. Head banging(straight forward, then back), hair whip(almost like cracking a bullwhip) and the Windmill(continuous 360 degree revolutions). Why Windmill? Well she is Dutch. Troy is playing an Electric Bouzouki ( A musical instrument popular in Greece. It is a member of the long-necked lute family, with a round body with a flat top and a long neck with a fretted fingerboard.). I have seen this song Live in my home country Estonia, although it was without Marko (Marko left the band, but now we have a new Bass Player Jukka "Gentle Giant" Koskinen), but Troy really steps up and harmonizes with Floor like never before. Still getting goosebumps, even if I write in here. And that Emppu solo... He just teases you with that (just look at that grin he is making). The title is taken from a King's novel called “Wolves of the Calla”. But the conception of the book has nothing to do with the text behind the song, it is far more inspired by the film "Dead Poets' Society". The main idea is - one must live his life the best he can, to strive for his aims, because the wolves are always 7 days behind you and they will catch you if your life is not of full value... and then you will be only dead meat. That's what Tuomas said in one interview some time ago. Howl and thank you!!! NWSU/FloorFan 🤘🐺🤘.
I hope he'll do longer video's where he can also covers the lyrics. Those lyrics are so meaningful and deep. That way he can discover that Nightwish are storytellers.
Massive song, even better performance. I just love 7GTTW in the 2015 Wembley version. So freaking amazing in every sense. The build-up, instrumentation, light effects and fireworks, the overall sound quality, and of course Floor's and Marco's voices that are so powerful, precise, and perfectly matched. Definitely one of my favorite NW live performances, maybe even my most favorite one. 🔥🤘 Thanks for this reaction.
This is My Song, as chosen for me by my wife. I'm inclined to think disaster is at the door, she says "you've got 7 days - do you want to spend them cowering, or do you want to actually live a bit?" (And it's working, she hasn't had to say it in a while!) My favourite concert is Wacken 2013, but if you feel you've done too many of those already how about Decades - Buenos Aires? Both good choices!
Wembley 2015 (Worldtour) or Tampere 2015 (Worldtour and Anniversary-Show!) or Buenos Aires 2018 (Decades World Tour) or 2022 Hellfest (first Tour without Marco the singing Bassist) well, everybody would say Wacken 2013, but this is soooo often played and reacted i can´t count ... :) and, the "or´s" can be replaced with a "followed by" anytime ;)
Nice reaction! Definitely one of my favourites too. Floor certainly isn’t a diva off stage. She comes across as very humble. When she talks to her audience between numbers in her solo shows she is very funny. The instrument that Troy is playing is an Irish bouzouki.
Best full concert: Buenos Aires 2018. But this is my No 3 Nightwish song/performance Floor is the nicest person in the world. As a HSP she really feels for people
This song and the whole wishmaster album are some of my fave nightwish music! Though I've been more a fan of Floor since her band After Forever then truly been a member of the nightwish army...
One of my favorites live....it's sooooo EPIC. love how the mood keeps chancing during the song along with lyrics. "LEAVE THE CITY OF FOOLS, CHOOS THE PATH LESS TRAVELED BY!" Yeah!
Honestly, this song, and especially this performance, is in my top 5 Nighwtish songs. Their engagement, amazing composition, tempo shifts and sound quality make it so epic.
Great reaction......I am semi new to the band, hard to believe they have been around as long as they have been and I just heard about them. As far as my favorite song goes it's pretty much the last one I listened too, no such thing as a bad NW song....but I really love "Slaying the dreamer" ...SO heavy. My latest find was "Elan"...such a beautiful song.
Great reaction! Troy is playing an Irish Bouzouki. It is part of the mandolin family. One of my favorite Nightwish songs. Probably top 6. Title is taken from the Steven King book The Wolves of Calla from the Dark Tower series but the lyrics aren't related. Wacken is the go to standard for whole concerts to watch and it is pretty magical but I vote for Wembley because it is pretty awesome and has all 3 of my top 3 Nightwish songs; Poet and the Pendulum, Greatest show on Earth (great performance but I like Tampere better because IMO it is even more epic), and Ghost Love Score plus some other bangers like Shudder Before the Beautiful and Yours is an Empty Hope.
3 concerts come to mind, Wacken 2013, Tampere 2015 or Wembley 2013. I think as a whole Wacken is the best followed by Wembley and Tampere but Tampere has the best version of The Greatest Song on Earth so you really can't go wrong with any of them. Tampere has the added feel too of being at home on Finland for them and it was the first time Floor's parents watched her live with Nightwish.
Ohhhh, John, John…your favorite until your next one😂🤣 or whichever one you happen to be listening to at the moment! I think Floors roar at the crowd towards the end pretty much embodies the piece. And doesn’t she look like The Predator from the original, when it faces off against Dutch?
Wembley 2015 full show❤ More energy you can't get. And single reaction: The Islander, Weak fantasy and The greatest show on earth at Tampere 2015. Please don't miss SHUDDER BEFORE THE BEAUTIFUL Wembley 2015 even when you decide to play another concert. Great guitar and keyboard battle!
Wacken 2013 is the obvious choice. It's amazing from start to finish, and is Floor's big breakout performance with the band. Floor is definitely a bad-ass on stage, but she's actually very kind and humble off stage. An extremely likeable person.
Yaaass! Finally Nightwish again! 🤩🥰 I'd suggest reacting to either the full Wacken 2013 or Wembley 2015 concert..or maybe Tampere? ..or Buenos Aires? All that can be found on YT are amazing tbh 😂
@JohnReavesLive....is this a trick question about which concert, lol. It is like picking your favorite child. That said, I am fond of the 2018 Buenos Aires show. The fans are just awesome and make it a really cool experience. I would go Wacken and Tampere 2015 as my second choices. Great work and thanks for what you do.
Wacken 2013 Is of course probably THE concert, but Wembley Arena 2015 Is also great and has The Poet and the Pendulum in It, which even on its own Is enough of a reason to watch. Tampere 2015 has the lovely The Islander moment with Marko and the most grandiose rendition of The Greatest Show on Earth, so any one Is a good pick, really.
Floor's sister Irene does backing vocals for Ayreon. They both have performed on Ayreon sometimes together. When Floor was in her first band After forever Irene and Floor performed a song called: Who I Am. To answer your earlier question 1. Wacken 2013 2. Wembley 2015 then Buenos Aires 2019 and Tampere 2015
well most will probably say Wacken 2013, and its legendary no doubt; I would recommend Hellfest 2022, its more recent, has songs from the latest album 'Human Nature', a fantastic setlist, and this legendary, epic moment when Floor performs 'Shoemaker' Live...omg I tear up just by thinking of it. Have fun and enjoy it !!🤘🤘🤘🐺
Best concerts to watch are showtime, storytime (wacken 2013) and Decades: Live in Buenos Aires 2019. Both great, but also different. I think the last one gives you more surprises. But don't know if you are looking for that 😂
Great reaction, as for full concerts...Decades Tour in Buenos Aires 2018 is awesome, so is Wembley 2015 where this performance is taken from. Then there is Tampere 2015 and of course, Wacken 2013 (but that's the one everyone does.. so chose another I'd say) HellFest 2022 would also be good, but shorter cause it was a festival. So for me Buenos Aires please, also because of the awesome audience. Floor is on stage a warrior with a larger than life persona, in reality she is very down to Earth, like they all are. In this band they leave their ego's behind before getting o9n the stage. And since you like the grit and growl Floor an put out, you should see her in true beast mode.... ReVamp- Disdain (live at Graspop ) this was her previous band before Nightwish and she was definitely in an angry period then 🖤🤘
Marko said in an interview that he loves singing with Floor because he doesn’t have to hold back. Also, I heard another reactor call Floor a Stage General.” She definitely is.
All of their concerts are great and it would be impossible to pick which is the best. I'm a fan of this one, it's my home country but also for the little bits in between and it is just amazing! 😁 & days to the wolves is one of my top fav songs but then so are a lot of theirs, it's hard to chose 😃
Yes, they got the essential "Medal Mandolin" (Irish Bouzouki this time, but close enough). This is a very powerful and well staged live performance. And Floor on stage is a true "Warrior Queen". But actually she is very humble, kind and extra sensitive person, who lives with her family far in the Swedish Woods.💗👸
My top full shows are Wacken ‘13 Showtime Storytime tour Wembly ‘15 Vehicle of Spirt tour Buenos Aires ’18 Decades tour - lots of old school heavy shit and soo good Hellfest ‘22 Human Nature tour
Hello John, everyone will say that Wacken is the best nightwish show (and it really is), but if you want to see something newer from the band, last year they did a really good show at Hellfest, I would recommend you see that one too. 🤘
For full concert I guess Wacken 2013 is always an amazing choice for sure!!!! Then Wembley or Tampere, for the show but also cause new drummer. And then Hellfest cause most recent, with then also new bass player
You can't go wrong with Waken 2013, Wembley, or the Tampere concert. Buenos Aries Decades is also fantastic and has some older stuff. If I were pushed, I'd say Waken, but Wembley is hard to beat as it has music written for Floor included, whereas Waken is all music written for the previous 2 singers.
Wacheb 2013 show, Tampere 2015, Wembley 2015 and Buenos Aires 2018 are the most epoc and qualitative. There are new ones like Hellfest 2022 for the tracks of the new album... but for that I would recommend you to listen the latest album Human.||.Nature. It is SPECTACULAR. Hugs from Romania near war torn Ukraine. BTW... a War song to donis 10th man down from Buenos Aires 2018 Show!!!
Full show I vote for Wacken 2013
I concur
It's really the only logical choice. They are all awesome, but Wacken has become kind of an iconic moment in their past.
@@user-tf2wd1eh3g Wacken 2013 gig is special because every song that was performed there is still the best live recording of that specific song. No other gig is that legendary.
I would not dismiss Tampere 2015 either. Newer songs, fireworks, and just looking how much fun they all have on stage. It’s amazing to me 😊
Ditto! Wacken 2013 is an easy choice!
Floor is a beast on stage....in real life though she is an introvert, shy and an HSP (highly sensitive person) That is why she lives with her husband (drummer Sabaton) in a very remote area in a farm, where she has her horses. She needs the serenity of nature to charge again, while she enjoys touring extremely much. She is a person who listenes, not talk. Who is at the end of the row, instead of the front in real life. I know her, we went to the same school. She is sweet and humble.
I was and am always flabbergasted if I see her on stage, there is a click and she turns into this self confidend unique metal Goddess. :) Backstage she is Floor again, but she fits like a glove in NW. They have lots of fun.
Great comment. I haven't been lucky enough to meet her in person, but I've noticed the same. Her stage persona and the real her are indeed quite different. Wolf and dog are perhaps too closely related still to represent this difference, it's more like a dragon and a lizard. :)
With all her dominant stage presence, she always struggles a bit when it comes to a spontaneous crowd interaction and needs a moment to come up with something witty. Quite the contrast to, let say, Anneke van Giersbergen who has no such problems.
But if anything, this shyness and mild awkwardness make her all the more adorable.
A lot of artists and musicians are sensitive souls and introverts who come alive when performing. It often goes hand in hand with being a creative.
@@noneofyerbeeswax8194 I think I heard Floor call her on-stage personality a "wolf" and her home personality a "dog". I can see it.
She is a blessing to this world, so unique and wonderful. 🤗🙏
I get that from her stage presence and the videos I have seen with her and Hannes, (and Fenris the dog :). A Beast on stage, but a relaxed person in their own space at home. I think it probably allows a way to dip into the passion on stage. Dunno if that makes sense.
I just love Floor's battle cry to the audience at the end of that song. You can tell she's really into this one!
I think it is more a she wolf snarl

I concur, they are ALL awesome.
This one is always in my ever changing top 5 Nightwish songs.
Unmistakable Nightwish, I like that every song is so different, they are so versatile. Utterly professional. As for Floor and Marco harmonies, epic.
This song has a special place in my heart !!! Not just because wolf is Estonian national animal and my spirit animal, but the windmill battle between Tuomas and Floor ....

I think Floors roar at the crowd towards the end pretty much embodies the piece. And doesn’t she look like The Predator from the original, when it faces off against Dutch?
If you can find it, they did a virtual world concert during covid. Excellent.
My favorite Nightwish song is whichever one I'm listening to at the moment....lol
In interviews she’s very humble and a beautiful person
Wacken 2013 is the obvious choice. It's amazing from start to finish, and is Floor's big breakout performance with the band.
Floor is definitely a bad-ass on stage, but she's actually very kind and humble off stage. An extremely likeable person.
Floor looks like the goddess that she is!🤘🎸
FLOOR is a BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Favorite song next to Song Of Myself
Yaaass! Finally Nightwish again! 🤩🥰 I'd suggest reacting to either the full Wacken 2013 or Wembley 2015 concert..or maybe Tampere? ..or Buenos Aires? All that can be found on YT are amazing tbh 😂
Markos bass is a Warwick/Vampire , Troy is playing a Irish Bouzouki , Floors inner Wolf comes out in this song .
But don't know if you are looking for that 😂
I love the lyrics, tempo and Floors tone 🤘🤘
Floor says: This is my one favourite song…
Troy plays Bazouka, Greece instrument… (guitar,mandolin, balalaikka)❤
Lov y reaction…
There are several amazing full concerts (Wacken 2013, Buenos Aires, Wembley,..). However I would reccomend Deichbrand 2022.
ReVamp- Disdain (live at Graspop ) this was her previous band before Nightwish and she was definitely in an angry period then 🖤🤘
Thx for this - good as always… 👍‼️ Full concert? Do it in this order: Wacken 2013, Wembley 2015, Tampere 2015… 🏆
Marko said in an interview that he loves singing with Floor because he doesn’t have to hold back.
Also, I heard another reactor call Floor a Stage General.” She definitely is.
Can you imagine Floor in a Hollywood blockbuster, playing the role of a supervillain?
Wembley is a great concert everyone does Wacken but all concerts are great
Deichbrand 2022 was really amazing. Please watch the first song Noise. Unfortunately but there's no good audio for the full concert. Video is great.
All of their concerts are great and it would be impossible to pick which is the best. I'm a fan of this one, it's my home country but also for the little bits in between and it is just amazing! 😁 & days to the wolves is one of my top fav songs but then so are a lot of theirs, it's hard to chose 😃
Floor is a real viking queen.
My top full shows are
Wacken ‘13 Showtime Storytime tour
Wembly ‘15 Vehicle of Spirt tour
Buenos Aires ’18 Decades tour - lots of old school heavy shit and soo good
Hellfest ‘22 Human Nature tour
The recent Hellfest tour they did, would be an amazing concert to react to!
her offstage personality 9is that of a kind gentle laid back woman/ Hubble vibes in fact
You gotta do Bless the child live at Wachen 2013 and then Ghetsemane livenin Buenos Aires 2018. They are amazing as well!!!
"She looks like a warrior.." yep, you'd follow her into battle armed only with a spoon and count yourself lucky!
I really think you do not enough NW😁 , you are great on reacting
Definitely Wacken 2013!!! Don't miss Marko introducing Floor at the beginning... And Emppu cutting off Floor's in-ears on "I want my tears back"!!
I vote for Wembley 2015 concert
I would go with Wembley 2015 as full show reaction or Buenos Aires 2018.
You should really look at Ghost Love Score Live at Wacken 2013. It is epic and one of the best performances of that song.
Metal mandoline FTW!
Hello John, everyone will say that Wacken is the best nightwish show (and it really is), but if you want to see something newer from the band, last year they did a really good show at Hellfest, I would recommend you see that one too. 🤘
uber comments love what u do i suggest 2015 in tampere for full concert it was blast and i was in aduannce for that 1 =)
Gotta do ghost love score, my favorite masterpiece by them
Not my favorite Nightwish song, but one of my favorite live performance of theirs for sure. 🤘🏻
For full concert I guess Wacken 2013 is always an amazing choice for sure!!!!
Then Wembley or Tampere, for the show but also cause new drummer.
And then Hellfest cause most recent, with then also new bass player
I wish I could afford that bass.
Wacken 2013 concert is awesome.
Everyones given you all the info about what concerts to watch ......
The only thing i can tell you is thats " GROOT" on Tuomas's Keyboard
Dude, Pick one... Wacken 2013, Wembly Arena, Tampere, Buenos Aries.. I think you would really like "Weak Fantasy" live @ Tampere....
I concur and so true.
Troy’s ‘metal mandolin’ is a bouzouki.
Nightwish - ShowTime StoryTime
🎶👊🤩
This shows why this band will never be the same without Marko.
Hi! If you want to check out more metal bands, try the Swiss band Zeal and Ardor. They are quite unique. I would suggest their song Götterdämmerung.
Other great vocalist to check out is Tommy Johansson!! Try his cover if Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody!
Troy is playing an electric bouzouki on this song.
