Don’t forget the Bears do really good in UDFA market at finding players. They have 5 to 6 more players this year. The talent on this team will be much improved compared to the past. Ian Wheeler the perfect replacement for Travis Homer. Then there’s Kromarah to add to Pass Rush either up the middle or at end. Keith Randolph will eventually replace Billings at nose or as rotational piece. Speedy Redd will rotate in and eventually replace Byard at safety. Theo Benedict will developmental / rotational tackle or future starter. I forgot the tight end out of Kentucky. The Bears have a bright future going forward. They’ve got positional versatility which they never had before.

Great breakdown. The only thing I would disagree with is their Defense.
Their DC was let go early in the year, and so HC Eberflus was calling the Defensive plays in '23.
Once he took the reigns, their Defense improved noticeably.
Not the case in '24. The Bears hired a DC.
From all that, I think the Bears Defense will take a step backwards in '24, from '23.

@@stephend3459 You're right. I just checked that out on a USA Today article.
It's just odd they'd take that approach, when that's the DC's job to begin with.
I'd take it with a grain of salt, but the results will speak for themselves on the field.
Their Defense definitely got better only after Eberflus began running the D in '23.

I wish I was as confident in Pickens becoming a productive, reliable players as you seem to be in this video.
I just don't know. I do think we will be missing production from another Rush End AND Interior Defensive Line play as the season progresses.
    T
The Bears will probably address these needs in Free Agency and the 2025 Draft.
I believe I heard that this is a great Draft for Defensive Linemen, so I hope the Bears can use some Draft Picks on shoring uo the Defense.
As far as Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze, Kenan Allen, DJ Morre, Cole Kmet, and the RBs, DeAndre Swift, Roschon Johnson, and Khalil Herbert...
I will remain cautiously optimistic until about Games 6 & 7. By then we should know what the Offense is, and what they can truly do.
I am a life long Chicago Bears fan, and I will scream and cheer for this team at all times, without fail. I love my team and I will support whomever is wearing the Uniform.
That being said, I flat out REFUSE to allow myself to fall into "The Hype Trap" once again.
It has been happening for Gen Xers like myself since all the way back in 1987 with the Draft of Jim Harbaugh; Peter Tom Willis in 1990; Cade McNown in 1999; Rex Grossman in 2003 and Kyle Orton in 2005; and of course, Mitchell Trubiski in 2017 and Justin Fields in 2021.
That is a lot of hype and hope. Like I said, I will always support the Bears. No question about it.
It's just that this year, I am actually gonna wait to see how the team looks BEFORE I start making any comments about defeating our Division Opponents.
    I am cautiously optimistic.
    Tell ya what though...
I am ready to PARTY like it's 1985!!!

You can't fix everything right away. The only thing Poles had done that I really have a problem with is giving up a 2nd for Claypool. Poles has done a FANTASTIC job so far but some fans think they are GMs and know better. The Bears might have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds next (4 as of now, 2 more 3rd round picks if Ian gets a GM job). Drafting Caleb Williams will set the team back at least 1 full season if not 2.
Caleb Williams has all of the same flaws Justin Fields had without the leadership and seldom won games versus top defensives or teams in college.
I think the Bears will win 7 to 9 games based off of the additions in the number of quality weapons on offense.
For me Williams was the 6th best prospect in the draft, the only positive about the first round is that Rome Odunze was my 5th top prospect.
