I have traveled to Europe twice. The biggest mistake everyone makes is only looking at their financial profile and not the cover letter and itinerary. Always show these two documents as if you ahve been granted the visa and are actually and realistically visiting these places. Create a table with date, day of the week, country, city, place of stay and intended activity for the day. For eg. We stayed in Paris for three nights and wrote - Eiffel Tower, Catacombs, Seine river cruise on Day 1, Louvre and Conciergerie on Day 2, Palace of Versailles and Arc de Triomphe on Day 3.
You basically need to show that you have researched well and are excited to go there.
You are right bro. Travel Itinerary in the cover letter has to be mentioned in detail and also it must be practical.
My 4th schengen visa (Netherlands) also got rejected due to this. I had good travel history, bank balance and a IT job.
I appealed the decision, they mentioned the itinerary was not practical. I had shown all 10 days within NL, which is a pretty small country 😅
Adding too many places in your itinerary or adding very few places raises suspicion.
Btw I still think sometimes - even if you have everything in place some schengen embassy officials might still reject the application 🤷♂️
Yes I did the same mistake. I had shown 15 days in Paris which was literally crazy 😂 and hence even after 5 million in saving and a very good salary, got rejected. We need to have a very genuine itinerary so that there is no reason of rejection. The next time I applied everything was same expect for cover letter and itinerary and it got approved.
And yes that’s one of the disadvantages of Indian passport, we do face some bias on some level
i also got 4 rejections in my french visa due to this reason
Bro I made cover later on the same day at vfs office. Not even one page. I got GERMANY VISA. Rejection is not due to cover letter. In ur case It was dues to number of days in Paris. If u have mentioned 6 days in Paris they would have given on first apply

provided all the relevant documents but my visa was sponsored and shown funds of 2cr above but it was rejected at last. Reason was there were enough reason that you will not return back from the member state
Did you have a steady flow of income every month upto the level to justify your saving of 2 cr ? If not having too much liquid funds with no explanation will surely create all the more reason for Visa rejection

Reasons:- 1. There is a risk of misappropriation of the purpose of the vusa for the purposes of remaining illegally in france after the expiry of your visa or to carry out illicit activities in france..

It depends on your refusal reason. How long will it take for you to correct the situation so as to get an approval. If you are able to do it in 1 month, that’s how long you should wait.
