I live in Finland but I expect these things occur in other countries too. Other thing is that those companies should also start to show respect to their workers. I have worked at mcdonalds for one summer. There were lot of stupid rules like not being able to sit or you had to look like you are busy even if there were nothing to do. Also they wanted workers to be flexible but were not flexible themselves. Also they did not provide healt care like other companies so if you ended up sick you had to try to get the sick leave ticket throught the public health care which is not easy. So many people just end up coming to work sick and then of course other people get sick too.

@@Nemrai It's crazy how many people have no idea how lucky they are with their current living situations and treat it so badly it's going to be destroyed, while there are millions of people that would do anything to trade for that same kind of lifestyle. My brother's insane coworker who asked him for a $1500 dollar loan a month ago, just got fired. A couple weeks ago he told her to stop calling in. She would miss one day of work every other week. Work orders at their company started to slow down and he told her she needed to stop missing work. He had a feeling they were going to lay off some workers and was trying to warn her. This Friday, she joked before she left to him, I might see you next week. She later called crying that she received a text that she was being let go. He just replied, I tried to warn you.
These are days she would miss when she already used her pto days. This really puts a strain on a small business. I guess if one needs a really flexible job then find a job that is. Work for yourself or like I do, per diem work. Definitely don’t expect a handout loan for poor work ethic.

This channel and Caleb's made me realize how I'm not prepared. I've gotten my first 2k saved and a good portion of my credit card paid down. My car paid off and next is retirement and savings 😅
I've noticed many women don't know the difference between a Traditional Wife and a Gold Digger. Traditional wife runs the house and the family, has the skills for cooking, cleaning, educating kids, finance. Husband is there to work, repair, and protect. Gold Digger brings nothing to the table and expects the man to pay for everything, once the money runs out she is out as well.
And these gold diggers are putting themselves in a dangerous position. What happens when he decides that you're not pretty enough or worth the money anymore? Or god forbid he gets sick, hurt, or dies? You'll be left with no money, no education, no job history. Being a tradwife is dangerous, especially if there isn't a pren-up, and ya'll didn't set up a retirement/ savings account. Being a trophy gf without a job is just being stupid, and asking for struggles.

I stayed in an airbnb in Austin a couple years ago and my Lyft driver commented on how wealthy the neighborhood I was staying in was so I looked up the home values and I was floored at the homes around where I was staying. They were like 2milliin dollar homes but I never would have guessed that by looking. That’s when I realized how expensive Austin had become. I thought it was bad where I live in Tampa but it’s got nothing on Austin.
Tampa is dirt cheap lmao my sister brags about paying for her car and house - which is amazing and I’m happy for her - but doing it in Tampa isn’t very impressive lmao cost of living is basically nothing; luxury apartment in the $1000-1500 range. If you can’t make it in a cheap place like Tampa then a bigger, more expensive city isn’t for you lmao
@ wtf are you talking about?! Those are apartment prices from before Covid maybe. Tampa is the furthest thing from cheap for cost of living. It’s not LA, Seattle or NYC but it’s not cheap. Just because we have no state income tax we make up for it in some of the highest insurance rates in the nation and maybe a ghetto 1 bdr apartment is $1500 but definitely not a luxury apartment in my part of Tampa. $1500 is about starting price for a shitty dump apartment. Average is around $1800-2000 for 2 bdr in older buildings and the nicer newer apartments are starting well over 2k depending on where in the Bay Area you’re located. On top of that we are leading the nation in gap between wage growth vs cost of rent increases. Besides that I was looking at home prices because I own my home in Tampa and those are most definitely not cheap around here. We’ve been lucky with property taxes but even those are starting to shoot up here lately with all the new developments that are causing catastrophic flooding in a lot of inland areas that never used to flood.
A new casino just opened about 25 minutes from our house. My husband and I dropped our teens off at work last Sunday and with our 5 free hours we decided to go out there and check out all the new stuff the town has built and see the casino. We brought $100 and figured if we wanted to play anything, that would be our once a year gambling slurge. Big rollers! $100. We played bubble craps and I got on a roll and kept hitting. We werent betting large amounts. When I finally crapped out we were up $95. We were there for about 30 minutes, gladly took our $95 and cashed out. An employee asked me why we didnt keep playing to win more. Well its cause we will end up losing the $95 profit and our own $100. She smiled and said "I rarely see people with self control here." We spent our winnings towards Christmas presents. Our once a year gambling with only $100 has become a weird tradition in our house 😂

Hello. I don't know if you will read this comment, but I can try to write it. I will mention one important fact, I am from Latvia. I look and cringe at monthly car payments. When I bought a car with a cash loan in 2018, I bought a 2006 Toyota Corolla Verso 2.2 diesel with 260,000 km on the speedometer (approx. 161,556 mi.), this was during Covid. The price the seller asked for the car was 2,400 euros, but I bought it for 2,200 euros. My monthly payment for the car was 86 euros and at that time my salary was 900 euros. I pay 100 euros every month to pay off the car faster and pay less interest. By the way, my car still serves me reliably and during this time I have invested about 600-700 euros in car maintenance and repair. And I should also mention that my car insurance is 9 euros a month, yes 9 euros a month.
And even if you had $1M. $78K IS STILL INSANELY "STUPID". Future investment value of $78K at 8% for 40 years is $1,694,512.68 at 65 years old. So your STUPID WEDDING COST YOU MORE THAN $1.5M DOLLARS. WHAT A WASTE.

I'll say this about vaping. It can be a good method to quitting cigarettes if you go about it right. I was at a 2 pack a day cig habit when I decided to quit. I switched to vapes, the kind where you add your liquid to a tank, not the pre-filled kind. Started off with a stronger nicotine level and ever time I ordered more liquid I bought a lower level of nicotine in the vape juice until I worked down to 0 nicotine. Took me about 3 months to go from 2 packs of cigs a day to nicotine free.

This Friday, she joked before she left to him, I might see you next week. She later called crying that she received a text that she was being let go. He just replied, I tried to warn you.
Lol, crazy is the fact that you dont have that much pto to miss every one day every other week
These are days she would miss when she already used her pto days. This really puts a strain on a small business. I guess if one needs a really flexible job then find a job that is. Work for yourself or like I do, per diem work. Definitely don’t expect a handout loan for poor work ethic.

I had an ex like this, one excuse after another and usually a vague (hard to prove) health issue. I am so glad to be rid of her, she was a drain on everyone around her, mentally and financially.
Plus the traditional wife is actually a wife. Not a girlfriend relationship hopping to any man who will be her sugar daddy.
@@AdaireKrickets that is such a tired, old argument. Just stop. "trad wives are idiots because all men will cheat and leave!" Don't pick a trash man. Problem solved.
So true, we often forget that finances was usually the wife's job back then.
A man is not a plan, period. If you’re going to be a trad wife you better keep up with some sort of valuable skills because 50% of marriages end in divorce. I don’t like those odds.
Dont bully small cars, people are driving around in houses on wheels burning a paycheck worth of fuel every week when their need is a civic. Trucks are also the worst kind of work vehicle, especially the latest ones where everything going on the bed needs to be pulled above shoulder height, the size has gone up an utility down because they are status pieces for poor people
I'm 59. I'm from South Africa, so maybe this doesn't apply but, anyway, my thing is, live within your means, budget and save if you can. I realise that things are VERY different than in my day. Even $10/month is beter than $0. In 1 year its $120. In 20 years its $2,400 that you DIDN'T have.
This is very solid and practical advice regardless of where you live.

@@AnthonyWamsteker-lv7gq Basic finances apply everywhere. If you live on less than what you make, you are able to build wealth. Yes, there are a lot of variables to that statement, but at least for me here in the US, I've been able to build a bit of wealth and appreciating assets because I don't spend more than what I make. I have made the mistake to spend too much money on BS that I don't need, and for that reason, I have to keep working. If I would have done things better, I would have at least 800k or more in my retirement account.
I do understand your point it’s a responsible thing to say but realistically in 20 years that $2400 will be so decayed by inflation that it’s practically worthless.

Listen to me. You do not need an expensive wedding. If your spouse future wife wants a 100 million wedding and you only make 35k a year then it's probably not a good thing. The wedding is not just for the bride it's not just her day it's the groom's day as well. And both of you need to be in total agreement on it.

On top
of that we are leading the nation in gap between wage growth vs cost of rent increases.
She smiled and said "I rarely see people with self control here."
We spent our winnings towards Christmas presents. Our once a year gambling with only $100 has become a weird tradition in our house 😂
So I lost a job needed to pay the bills $1,600 in rent was coming to and I didn't want to do it but I had to go work a job that I never really wanted to and I hated it but I did it I did it for the entirety of it to get my bills current and once they were current and I found something better I took that position.
The flavor is incomparable so lots of restaurants bring tortillas over , it’s not as crazy as people may think, only Mexican people would understand
And I should also mention that my car insurance is 9 euros a month, yes 9 euros a month.
unless you are a millionaire, $78000 on a wedding is just stupid
And even if you had $1M. $78K IS STILL INSANELY "STUPID". Future investment value of $78K at 8% for 40 years is $1,694,512.68 at 65 years old. So your STUPID WEDDING COST YOU MORE THAN $1.5M DOLLARS. WHAT A WASTE.
I know the graphic said $78k but I listened back and I really think she said $7 to 8 thousand. Which is still insane in my opinion but not quite as bad
The only thing worse than a $78K wedding is still paying off the wedding debt after the divorce.

There ya go. I mean, I don't see a problem spending like $500-1k on a wedding. I'd spend most of the "wedding" money on the honeymoon, personally. BUT, ain't nothing wrong with continuing on with life, doing a bare bones ceremony and saving that money. That's if you even have the money to begin with and ain't going into debt over the marriage. Put some on S&P 500, some in a Roth IRA, some in a high interest savings account, maybe buy some gold, bonds, treasury notes etc. And SIT on them.
