Haven't listened to this song since middle school, used to listen to it all the time on the morning bus. My tablet broke and i didn't remember the name... I graduated this year so this is bringing back so many memories
The way I interpret this song is that Len is in love with a close friend, and is terrified of losing that friendship if he makes a move and reveals his feelings. He does so anyway way, and because of that feels guilt and shame for the feelings he has for this person who was supposed to just be a friend, yet at the same time all he wants is to make things work, even if in the end he loses everything.

Len's whole dilemma deals w/ his lustful feelings for someone he treasures; he's afraid that if they take that one step beyond friendship, their entire relationship will be ruined. Snake=temptation, and I believe that Eden=innocence/stability, which sex could possibly destroy.

I think the fatal illness part is how he felt not really how it was and the "I will give up my tomorrow" I believe he is talking to his special person kinda like I will give up my future to you to make up for being together like as in partnership or marriage

This song is just a metaphor for a "forbidden" romance between friends--"Garden of Eden" is a metaphor for innocence, and the snake is used to depict desire that draws the singer away from it. That fruit is the romance itself, and the "fatal illness" is the sin associated. To me, that doesn't even sound like he feels like this toward a girl, as that doesn't make much sense given the cultural origin of the writer. So. Len, why you so gay?
