Best trailer of all time. Effectively it doesn't tell you anything about the movie while also setting the perfect mood to get into it
Right up there with Hitchcock’s walk-through of Psycho.
Social Network and Batman 2022 are also top tier trailers
sarcasm
Good trailer, great movie!
@@arnavlokhande9448 Stop it
It’s such a goddamn weird trailer but at the same time it’s perfect for the movie
One of the oddest trailers.... Great movie though. 🎬 👌
I always see people commenting "this is the best trailer ever" under various trailers on youtube, but they were wrong. It's my turn now.
This is the best trailer of all time.
This is beyond its time. I cant believe what kubrick has done
for all of his films i feel like i can say the same and goddamn, that's not an understatement.
Clockwork orange is one of my favourite
I wouldn't say its beyond its time because audiences need such a knowhow of the cold war in order to understand in. It was a perfectly topical movie up until 1990, and then audiences needed to start working to understand it.
fr tho the way the dialogue is delivered is unlike any film of its time
@@cinemagoose and now it's on point once again
It's always so amazing for me that Kubrick somehow managed to trick George C. Scott into unknowingly giving a comedic performance. Like all the actors (especially, and of course, Peter Sellers) were absolutely brilliant, but Scott managed to steal the show for me and make me laugh the loudest. You'd honestly have no idea that he wanted to play "serious" at all by watching this film.
Kubrick is the master. Dr Strangelove, The Shining, Lolita, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Full Metal Jacket, Eyes Wide Shut, A Clockwork Orange ect. No other director can make this many masterpieces.
Yes, I did watch Doctor Strangelove recently with my folks. It’s great as a Cold War satire of both superpowers, but that ending… that was really bleak. It’s like Kubrick had zero faith in humanity and chose not to, or outright refused to see the good in people.
Christopher Nolan Is 1 step ahead
@@sachinbhardwaj9246 👎🤡
Alfred hitchcock,Stanley Kubrick,Spielberg,Tarantino and Martin Scorsese are the best 5 Directors in History in my opinion
@@Glory-Compass Add Lynch, Kurosawa, and Carpenter to that list and we're done :)
This was already one of my favorite Kubrick movies. The trailer is so fitting and weird as it should be. This was so ahead of its time.
...and time never caught up ;)
One of the greatest trailers of all time
Kubrick was heavily inspired by canadian experimental film maker Arthur Lipsett (who was commisioned to direct this trailer but refused the offer; Kubrick then directed it mimicking Lipsett style)
Dr. Strangelove is the greatest political satire movie of all time
what about The Great Dictator?
@@TheHogsmeade ‘The Great Dictator’ is also a great movie, but still prefer Dr. Strangelove
@@TheJPSouza I loved Dr. Strangelove as well, but I tilt toward The Great Dictator because he made that movie against the nation's interests, and also against the guy who was worshipped by millions already at the time, and also he began making the movie before the war even began. There were a lot of history behind that movie. Nonetheless, I also loved Dr. Strangelove, because of which the US actually changed major policies purely based on this particular movie so that such thing can never happen.
@@TheHogsmeade True! Have you seen ‘The Death of Stalin’?
@@TheJPSouza Oh, yes. How could I forget that one😂😂.
Seems like a good time to rewatch this brilliant film…
Yep
Seems like a good time to watch this for the first time.
I saw it this morning and it has become one of my favourite films of all time
True
I love this movie it's so funny Peter sellers did a great job along with George c Scott
@Diego Pisfil agreed
Probably the most intelligent comedy of all time ....
Yes, I love Planes Trains and Automobiles, Young Frankenstein, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Duck Soup, Some Like It Hot, and the Monty Python comedy films. But this is the most bitingly funny, relevant satire on our times.
If this trailer came out today it would still feel ahead of its time
One of the greatest trailers for one of the greatest films.
Kubrick is a legend
Ok....I've watched this movie like 10 times.....and I'm watching it right now.....and I've never laffed as hard as this time......I'm only now appreciative of the brilliant comedy....outstanding 😅
Pls where can I search for this movie?
I would kill to see the cuts of when Peter Sellers was doing the Slim Pickens role.
I was thrilled when I found out that Peter Sellers and Allice Cooper were friends.
Apparently Peter, Alice and his lovely wife would go out dressed to the 9's, armed with suction cup dart guns and act out as Detective Maurice Escargot and Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
If it even exists. They may not have filmed it and, knowing how Kubrick was with the stuff he cut, even if they did, it probably doesn't exist anymore. The scenes he cut from 2001 doesn't exist anymore because he personally destroyed them.
One of the best trailers i have ever seen!!
This trailer is so ahead of its time, time never caught up ;)
Can't wait to watch this for the first time. History repeats and this becomes relevant again.
Apparently the semi-automatic Russian program, Perimeter, has been maintained from the 1980's to this very day - which closely resembles a dooms day device.
This is an effective drama first time around. Second time it is a comedy. Third time it’s the funniest movie ever made. It only gets better with time. Kubrick is a god.
Stanley Kubrick Productions Always Was Ahead Of Their Time , Something Unique 💎
I love dr. Strangelove.
Who doesn’t?
@@HugoSoup57 I love the bomb!
(kidding)
this film is the true definition of OF ALL TIME...
What really worries me is that is so uo-to-date ... but.... Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb in 2022 too!
I'll never look at rodeo the same way again.
Rodeo who
Love this Movie! (I remember seeing this trailer in the 1998 DVD of Monty Python and the Holy Grail before!)
Yep, that's where I first remember seeing it. Suddenly I didn't care about that movie anymore and all I wanted to watch was Dr. Strangelove.
I wish the Dr. Strangelove song would have been able to be in the film. Woukd have been a great addition
Not until "Cool Hand Luke" three years later would we again see a trailer like this.
Still the greatest divine comedy.., and the best from the master..., Kubrick
"Love That Bomb,I Got a Strange Love for that Bomb..."
alta peli, la vi como 4 veces en 2 segundos, le doy un solido 8 de 10
aleee soy tu fan te estoy viendo en directo
XD
quizá menos
un robo
This trailer feels...weirdly modern (or should I say Postmodern?). Seems more like it's from 2024 than it does 1964.
Went to the movies to see this as a 15 year old kid ,yeah I was different. Still am,thank God
Was there many people in the theater? How did people respond to it at that time?
You're nothing.
Best comedic War masterpiece By Kubrick Peter sellers and George Scott Outstanding performances❤
utterly brilliant movie
First film I watched without my native language dabing. I love it!
Dr Strangelove bears a strong resemblance to Dr Schwab! The way they speak is so funny!
That’s one of the most interesting trailers I’ve ever seen
It’s doesn’t make any sense but it still works. Both the trailer and movie
movie makes plenty of sense. the people with the most power and who are close to the red button in Washington have been childish dipshits for a long time.
I’d say it’s worse now though. In the 60s we at least had constant lines of communication with the soviets.
Dr. Strangelove one of the best films of all time beloved by many. Many filmmakers and actors praised Dr. Strangelove, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, James Cameron, Michael Mann, George A. Romero, Lawrence Kasdan, Keanu Reeves, Bruce Willis, Matt Damon and Daniel Radcliffe. Film Critic Gene Siskel cited Dr. Strangelove as his all time favorite movie.
Even the actor Ronald Teagan loved it.
A damn good trailer. Want to see it which I dont say about a lot of movies from the 60s.
A fact we would know, is that the part of Dr. Strangelove saying "10 females to each male" is a cut scene, the dialogue is in the final but the scene I'm mentioning isn't
How does the American president sound so competent? It's 2022
They hired them young and coherent back then
2:17 Kubrick predicted little kids on Xbox live
This movie has never been more relevant 🙊
Good trailer, but I was watching this alone at night and got creeped out.
This feels so much like where Wes Anderson pulled a lot of aesthetic from
So 60s so hip!
The Doomsday Machine
Kubrick. Best movie in every genre. I’ll put this against anything Brooks made. Yes… As funny as Saddles
Coming back to this after the Oppenheimer craze took off
Best movie EVER.
this gives me strange jazzpunk vibes
My favorite movie trailer!
This film took nuclear war and made a giddy gag out of it!!!!
Just watching because I just found out that Elvis use to love this movie!😉😂😂
That's why I am going to watch it!
intelligent comedy film of all time
Best Trailer I have seen.
Today is the 60th anniversary of this classic anti war dark comedy DR. STRANGELOVE.
Wonderful Movie!!!
March 2022 and this looks familiar.
This is so trippy
I've never seen this move but did Wes Anderson see this trailer & say, yeah I want to do that?
I need to watch this
"B52 - Stratofortress" should have her own "Oscar"!
Great movie.
I just wish it had been shot in color.
Gone With the Wind came out in 1939 and it was in color.
By 1964 you would have thought all movies would have been shot in color.
Black and white adds to the experience and vibe of the film
First 1:22 or so is magnificent, except for spoiling the iconic scene of Slim Pickens riding the bomb. But then it keeps going.
this trailer is great
1:09 buckx2 producer tag
You cant fight in here this is the war room
Какой классный трейлер.
gentleman no fighting at the war room and the Bond-type sets was designed by KenAdam
what machine?
Did Saul Bass directed this trailer, or what?
I believe Kubrick did it himself.
@@Ozzpodge Sounds like something he would do. Only a director like Kubrick would put together his own wierd trailer lol
Pablo Ferro made this, and also the trailers for A Clockwork Orange and Harold And Maude
The first ytp
ES HERMOSO
Los que no vieron Doctor Insolito o Doctor Strangelove debe ser un idiota
Anybody here after RGV mentioned it.
The only movie that makes nuclear warfare fun
Gonna have to check this one out. Aloha~~ from Hawaii~~ 🤙🤙
If this film to ever get remade just make it the same as the original, the cinematic of the visual, same lines but different more comic, action, etc……
Are we living this movie?
hmmm we are living this madness today ☢️😒
I love the bomb me too
„A m o v i n g Picture“

Why was General Jack D. Ripper obsessed by FLUIDS? 🤣
This looks like trailer 1 and 2 merged in one.
Henry Kissenger
Is there a sound effect for the laugh at the beginning?
this is how you make a trailer
in these days when hawkish talk reigns supreme and peace talks are off the table about the proxy war unfolding in Ukraine, this is a most timely watch.
did kubrick direct this trailer too? like damn
6 months after Covid19
What did I just watch!!
This trailer gives the wrong idea that dr. strangelove is blackmailing them
Inspired by Lipsett.
The first sh*tpost.
WHY WAS GENERAL JACK D. RIPPER OBSESSED BY FLUIDS?!
