I hope your all having an awesome start to 2025 ❤
Only dipped my toes in the borders over christmas and it convinced me that this is where i need to be. What a beautiful country Scotland is.
Haven't been to Scotland but I've heard. Once to Scotland and you want to go back twice to Scotland and you may never leave. thanks so much for taking us along 🙏
I feel this is very true 🙌🏻
Those who can turn a simple walk into an adventure are truly blessed. Loved your video. Best wishes from New Zealand.
Absolutely stunning! Winter is just so beautiful (in UK). I’m an ex-Pom living in Australia and I soo miss the seasons. Beautiful video and photography. Glad you’re back.😊
Just gorgeous Carrie! I could see the genuine excitement on your face and from your voice, like a little kid in a lolly shop, or a hiker in a outdoor store!! 🤣 I can't wait to see you explore Scotland, very exciting!
😂 I was like a kid at Christmas for sure!!

Welcome to Scotland Carrie 🏴
Thank you 🙏🏼
Scotland is just a different ballgame. The lakes is lovely and like a nicely wrapped little postcard for how beautiful nature can be, but you're never really THAT far from anywhere in the lakes. Scotland is absolute wilderness. Just had to pause your video at nearly 3 mins to write this because I can see the happiness in your eyes 😍 it's a must is Scotland, for outdoorsy people ☺️
@@campfirestorieslancashire6502 I couldn’t agree more, i truly fell in love! I can’t wait to get back in spring 🙏🏼
Great to see you out and about living life to the full. Thanks and wishing you and your family all the beat for your future.

Scotland is a fantastic place for a road trip. Hope you make it back soon. Great video 👍
Hopefully spring 🤞🏼
great to see your enjoyment of Scotland. we’ve been here almost 10 years now and still love it. there’s a lot to see here, I feel very fortunate to have had a few excellent trips with friends and colleagues around the place. one of the best parts: the Scots themselves. sounds corny I guess but it strikes me time and time again. looking forward to your adventures here. 👍🏼✌🏼🖖🏼
My first experience of Scotland and everything was amazing from the people to the beautiful locations 🙏🏼
Loved this and especially in winter 🥶 All my fav local spots glad you loved it ❤xx
I can’t wait to be back 🥰 will hit you up for an adventure when i am 🙌🏻
Great video Carrie, can't wait to go back! I got a credit note for the ski resort we missed out on but has to be used this season. So looks like the return will be pretty soon.
Had an amazing time with you guys!!! Thank you for letting me tag along! I didn’t realise you got a credit note back that’s good perfect excuse to get back up to 🏴😂
lovely to see it again. i went up in summer, such a spectacular place! definitely on my wild camping to do list for this year x
Mine to!! It’s amazing isn’t it 🙏🏼
Great video Carrie. Stunning location and well filmed. Looking forward to following you on your adventures this year😁
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Hey Carrie! This makes me chuckle because I know exactly how you feel. I was exactly the same when I first saw Scotland last year. I went on a mad solo cycling and wild camping holiday. Started in Inverness and cycled to Fort William then then 2 days later walked up Ben Nevis..then off to Skye..then back to Fort William and stayed in the Glen Nevis camp site..the best camp site I have ever stayed in! I cant wait to get back and am planning on moving there as soon as I can! I, like you am absolutely in love with Scotland!!
It’s absolutely beautiful isn’t it! Skye is on my list for next time hopefully! But I want to explore as much as I can because it is amazing!!
I don’t blame you for wanting to move up there, I would in a heart beat!
Yaay loved this so much! ❤ Look forward to more Scottish trips ❤
Thank you so much! I’m hoping to be back very soon 🙏🏼
Absolutely stunning, good health and safe travels, cheers craig
Thank you 🙏🏼
I've sort of got the idea you like Scotland Carrie .. and who could blame you. Great vlog with beautiful scenery and fantastic background music .. well done girl. Bushyboy Oz.
Thank you so much 🙌🏻
Great vid carrie, iam off to bonnie scotland this year, cairngorms and trossachs, but my drive up will be 13 hours!
Wow that’s a long drive, my friends I went with had 11 hours back home from here. It was hard going! But it’s definitely worth it 🙏🏼
Rannoch Mòr and the descent into Glencoe is where the Highlands start to get serious, then it just gets wilder and wilder as you get further and further north.
I live down by the beach in a little cottage on the north coast and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
The Highland are like the Matrix. You can't explain it to anybody. It can only be experienced. Coming up to see the Highlands for the first time is like taking the red pill.
A little bit of your heart is trapped here now, and you will never get it back ;)
And I hope you managed to find time for a couple of snifters at the Clachaig.
Wow you live my dream life!! 🙌🏻 that sounds amazing
I’ve definitely left a piece of my heart behind & I can’t wait to be back very soon!
Awesome Carrie, i spent 30 years around the west coast. Stunning natural beauty .
Hi carrie.your video and lovely comments Brought a tear to my eye.i lost my fiancee last year and fort william and glencoe was her favourite place.hurry back scotland will always make you very welcome x
@@StuartPollock-x8f I am so sorry too hear that, I can’t imagine how hard the last year has been for you! I can understand why this was her favourite place 🥰 it’s truly beautiful. Sending you so much love 🙏🏼
Great video with some beautiful footage of Scotland 😊 l have been lucky enough to visit Scotland hundreds of times with work, and went up there last year for a kayak trip but things went wrong. However heading back up there again this summer. So if you're there too and you see a crazy guy waving at you from a kayak it's probably me 😅😅
😂😂😂👋🏼👋🏼 Have a great time!
The scenery in Scotland is jaw droppingly beautiful to put it mildly. Love highland cattle. A farm near me has them. Roll on spring for you Carrie when you're back up there.
I can’t wait to be back 🙌🏻
One word ‘BEAUTIFUL’
Without a doubt, the scenery is awesome. With the snow covering the place, it looks like parts of Wyoming and Montana in the states.
It really did have that feel to it 🙏🏼
It's good to see you finally made it to Scotland. I was in Fort William in September 2024, and it rained for days. I stayed at the Glen Nevis Campsite and did some of the walks you did. Yeah the path from the visitor centre is a nice wee walk down to the Youth Hostel. The campsite is a good base, and it has an on-site restaurant along with great facilities. The further north west you head the scenery just gets better and better. Atb
I’ve heard a lot of good things about that campsite, definitely one to check out when I’m back in spring 🙌🏻
Benderloch near Oban is an amazing area in Scotland 🙏💯
Thank you I’ll keep that in mind 🙏🏼
Absolutely gorgeous, lovely snowy Scotland.
I went up Ben Nevis on my 50th year, quite a challenge and a long day but it was worth it 😁.
I can imagine it was a great experience! 🏔️
You might be slightly less enamoured in the spring, even more beautiful, but,.............tourists and MIDGIES, they're a bloody nightmare, took the edge off our trip but still, what an amazing country
I’ve heard the midgies are an absolute nightmare I’ll be coming well prepare 😅
Welcome to Scotland 😍
Hi Carrie, Just thought I'd let you know, that me and a few friends are heading to Loch Trool for a few days on Weds,(22nd) for some much needed R&R. Having been quite a few times, I promise you will absolutely love it. Loch Fyne, Loch Doone, Ben Nevis..... It's a wild campers paradise. ATB. Si.
Have an excellent time 🙏🏼
I went camping Thursday night in the woods tucked away somewhere very hidden but got woken up by 2 older guys seemed very proud of themselves said they saw me enter the woods and had been looking for me.That one of my favorite spots compromised it's harder in the winter with no leaf coverage.
Oh no that’s a really unsettling situation, I hope it doesn’t put you off!
Low light of winter shines in Scotland, but don't miss coming in the summer, sure the weather won't be guaranteed, but you can guarantee long days where the sun sets close to 11pm and rises just after 4am. But do buy Smidge for those summer trips.
I can’t wait for a trip back in the summer 🙏🏼
Hi carrie. Check you out in scotland. Well done. 😊😊😊
Thank you 🙏🏼
@UKCARRIEOUTDOORS the scenery is amazing in Scotland Carrie, I'll be watching your spring camp there ! Fantastic place 😀
Me and my missus went last year, she was just like you she fell in love with Scotland. A couple of suggestions for you for next time you visit. Go to the Scottish pyramid, it's amazing, and visit the cursed grave of seath mor. Youre not supposed to touch the stones on the grave, I did back in August.. I now have a heart problem, take from that what you will 😂 she said it's the curse I think it's coincidence. Anyway hope to see more of you in Scotland
😂 I will make a mental note of that & take that as a good warning not to touch it lol
Thank you so much for your recommendations 🙏🏼
Exquisite, never fails to amaze ❤🙏🏻
Nice to see the Scottish glory of winter again! Thanks young lady… Cameron 💐
Thank you 🙏🏼
Ah mate, you have some great times ahead up there. Too many things I could recommend but just a few in summer weather would be Steall Falls in Glen Nevis, the West coast, Eilean Donan Castle, Skye, Luskentyre beach on Harris and you must go to the Cairngorms. There are great tracks there in the mountains & forests of Abernethy & Rothiemurchus. Put me in your rucksack !! 🤣xx
Thank you for all your recommendations I’m making lists of all the places I’ve got to tick off on my visits 🙌🏻🥰
The Scottish countryside is always so beautiful and even more so when it looks like somebody sprinkled powdered sugar all over it. Any shot from your video would be perfect for this year's Christmas Card.
It is so beautiful 🙌🏻
Hi Carrie. I really can't believe you've never been to Scotland. Fort William is an absolute hub for trails. I know what's coming from your channel now. Brilliant
Brilliant video
You finally crossed the border 🎉🥳
Glad you enjoyed your short time in our bonnie county🏴
you have so much more to see up north north 😂don’t forget the west coast either,
Have a look at the north coast 500 if you want a amazing road trip,
Or check out some of the lochs for wild camping and even wild swimming if that’s your thing
Haste ye back
Atb John 🏴
NC 500 is something I’m hoping to do very soon 🙏🏼
great video Carrie,i was in Scotland in November and loved it.booking into hotels and some laughed thinking i was scottish with my surname then they got my Yorkshire accent! next on my list is Ireland
😂😂😂
Ohhh Ireland, that’s another place I need to explore as well 🙌🏻
Thanks Carrie for taking us along with you, unjointed your life while your young and able, I am 61 now retired due to ill health, now all I do is watch others on you tube doing the things a wanted to do when I finished work. My wife and I do get out on our e-bikes now and again tho so not all is lost lol.
@@lewisgardner1660 ah it’s great that you have your e-bikes to still get out and explore 🙏🏼
Bless you you're face says it all to how much you enjoyed this trip. I am due to visit Northumberland Easter and Scotland once visited you can never not return. Really loved this video thank you 😊 xx
@@helenamurphy4682 I love Northumberland have a great trip at Easter 🙌🏻
Welcome 2 Scotland little Miss England. I hope you have, and had a fabulous trip. I love the fact all you southern softies come up here, and rave about Scotland, it makes my heart smile.
😂🥰 we are very jealous you get to call it home
You were right to be cautious, the weather up there can be brutal. Many moons ago me and my mate headed up to do nevis. Knew the weather was iffy, but had no idea how bad it would get. We knew there were avalanche warnings but we decided to have a look for ourselves. To be honest the sky was clear where we were, but there was no one else in sight, and we got a third of the way up and the snow was over our knees. We stopped and looked about, and you could see the clouds and snow storms in every direction. We bailed,it was only later on the news they had been pulling bodies in all over the place,2 from glencoe, was one of the worst weekends ever
Wow that is a definite reminder that we need to be careful in these beautiful locations!
I feel lucky to be living in the beautiful Lake District , but Scotland is a special place :)
You are very lucky the Lake District is amazing 🙌🏻
Great video , lovely views , and great music to fit the video too , well done stay safe .
Yes scotland is just a difrent place you have to visit glen coe lost vally and loch affric is just on another level aswell ! :)
So much to explore & I’m really excited to head back 🙏🏼
I too found Scotland about 30yrs ago in my early 20’s and I’ve been back most years since Carrie sometimes twice a year. I’ve just got back in fact two days ago and this time went to Fort William but stayed in Inverness and I’m back up there with my family for a holiday Feb 15th can’t wait. We will keep you to your promise Carrie to not say No this year to any trips. Get out and enjoy. Ps Scotland in the autumn is also an experience ❤ Dave 🇬🇧
Magical- thank you
Thank you 🙏🏼
It's always the last minute adventure decisions that turn out to be one of the best.

Lovely video. I went up last Marchc, camped and did Ben Nevis. Lovely raikway trip through Highlands to the coast. Go gor it girl , live life to the max.

Haste Ye Back....
ur reaction is pretty the same as most folks that havent come north of the border... Scotland does look it's best with its winter coat on
It’s looked absolutely stunning 🙏🏼
Looks beautiful and cold lol never been to Scotland myself it does look great and plenty of walking to great locations all the best x
@@davidheywood1493 it is wonderful but yes it was very cold 🥶
Another one gets bitten by Scotland bug 😂 happens to everyone I know. Was first spellbound 12 years ago and I can’t live without it ever since. There at least 3 times a year. Winter is my favourite season up there
Welcome to Scotland , Hope you enjoyed yourself
May and Sept are the months when there are less midgies up here, so a good time to wild camp and perhaps hike some trails! Summer is good bar the midgies, they like still conditions and waterside locations, so if the wind is up or your moving, its not so bad. good luck, enjoy yourself. :)
Outstanding video
Thank you so much
Love this Carrie, seems like love at first sight, so look forward to more Scotland vids
It absolutely was, I’ll be back very soon!!
Roll on April 😊
Are you heading to Scotland 🙌🏻
Haste ye back as we say here ❤️
Thank you I’ll be back really soon 🙏🏼
Ive seen loads of footage of the Scottish mountains and the lochs. Great to see some low level walks. Gods country as my team leader would say.
Try a got chocolate at Bare Bones chocolate shop in Glasgow, the best ever.
I’ll remember that for next time 🙏🏼
#UKCARRIEOUTDOORS Icamped exact same spot next to Ben Nevis then walked up to the loch half way camped there then did the summit of Ben Nevis it was a fantastic experience
That sounds incredible 🙌🏻
If and when i get there it will be in summer, green stuff is better than white stuff. I dont do well with the cold despite being a northerner. It's a captivating place and i can feel your enthusiasm.
@@finger351 It was absolutely bitter 🥶 I can’t wait to go back in spring!
For a multi day trip try the North West coast of Jura , hard walking but awesome scenery...
I moved to the north of scotland from the south coast of england 33yrs ago, you need to come back and do the NC500 plus many many other road trips that you can make up in this neck of the mountains, summer winter spring or august.
Ahh bonnie Scotland, endless beautiful places to visit, next time visit loch lomond if you get the chance, lovely place.
@@Outaboutdetecting we did visit Loch Lomond briefly - it was beautiful & heading back that way in spring to camp 🙏🏼
Wonderful video and you. Keep going to explore...
I am shocked you've never been to Scotland it's only a couple hours up North, but life has plans and priorities. I do love living up here and I'm not keen when my boss tries to get me South of the border too many folk and different temperament I find. ☺
Could just be because I'm not from there though.
I know, it took 6.5 hours too get to fort William but it was absolutely worth the drive & I will definitely be back more! It’s absolutely gorgeous 🥰
If you like how the scenery looks in the snow, the spring/summer views are gonna blow your mind. Also you're welcome any time.😉
@@tunage8354 I can’t wait! I’ll be back in spring 🙏🏼
