Glock perfection. The G17 is the world's premier combat handgun. Accurate out of the box, easy to maintain, and incredibly reliable. My G17 serves as my home defense weapon, but my G26 subcompact is my concealed carry firearm. I have complete confidence in both.
The music is a beautiful accompaniment to the video! Very nice indeed! I have a 2nd gen Glock 22 in a .40. I have had zero problems with it and I love it!!
These videos are pretty old, already old when Kafka uploaded them here in YT. The Glock used on the video is a Gen 2 example: smooth front end of the frame (ergo, no picatinny rail), no ergonomic band on the gront part of the grip, slabside extractor claw, no thumbrest dimples.
I bought a glock 17 back in the 80's when they first came to this country... 17 round clip was standard.. I've seen 50 round clips available from glock, and a lot of after- market stuff too. One after-market clip I bought jams terribly so I wouldn't recommend it! Glocks are wonderful guns!!!
I have a Glock 26 and the accuracy is quite impressive for it's size (I have it for my concealed carry). Never shot a 17 though, but I would assume the longer barrel, sights and rifling adds to the accuracy.
mnil0231 the Glock comes standard with a drop safety. When the trigger is pulled, the trigger bar is guided in a precision safety ramp. The trigger bar is deflected from this ramp only in the moment the shot is triggered.
AND it is also based off length of barrel. Many people think barrel length doesn't affect anything, but it adds more rifling, and thus longer range and stopping power. That's why bullpup rifles are accurate and powerful, even though they're overall length is shorter than most other rifles, and lighter.
I prefer the slimer grip, it fits my hand much better and makes for a much more natural grip. Personally the ergonomics of a single stack handgun in most cases outweigh the low round count, thats just me though.
The term you're looking for is "suppressor". And yes, assuming you buy a threaded barrel, you'll be able to attach one. The stock barrel doesn't have sufficient length to thread.
This so-called "bending" you're talking about is an Browning-inspired design that allows the barrel to dip slightly as the slide rocks back. This "bending" allows to next round to easily enter the chamber for firing. Berettas are elegant pistols, but they can get a little fussy if not maintained well. The strength of a Glock is its ability to be neglected and still fire when called upon. I wouldn't carry my Glock with me everyday if I wasn't absolutely confident in it.
@w00kie09 its a "saftey" of sorts, the trigger wont pull unless that little peice is compressed to fit the shape of the rest of the trigger, basically it will not fire unless you have the whole trigger covered with your finger.
@HACKI639 Lets say alot. The glock 17 fires the 9mm, the 18 fires the 9mm, but it is fully automatic, and the 19 is the compact version of the 17. The 20 is a 10mm, the 21 is .45, the 22 is .40, the 23 is a compact version of the 22, the 24 is competition model of 22(discontinued). The 25 is .380 same size as 19. the 26 is a sub-compact of the 19, and the 27 is the sub-compact of the 23. Theres more but i told you the main glocks.
The one on the handle is the magazine release. Unless you're referring to the slide lock or release, in which case consult Spaxel90's comment. Anyways, great video.
sometimes. some barrels have threads on the end where you can screw one on. you can buy a new barrel to fit a silencer if you don't have threads on yours.
it's a second gen glock 17. the give away being the front and back straps are checkered. the original 1st gen had a type of pebbling all around the entire grip.
@edog355 no, its a 1st Gen, look at the frame pins above the trigger, the 1st gen was the only one to have only one, from 2nd and on they have 2,one right above the other.
@erkoekrf 1st gen Glocks do not have checkered grips. 2nd gen GLocks have checkered front and back straps. 3rd gen Glocks have checkered grips as well as thumb rests on both sides of the gun, finger grooves and an upgraded accessory rail for flashlights or lasers. 4th gen Glocks recently came out, but I don't know much about them.
i think the c version has a componsated barrel of sorts on the top that reduces the kick or somthing-- i read about it in guns and ammo a number of years ago when it came out
@CustomWeapons In glocks case, it would be slower to use the slide release, I shot a few different glocks, and only one had an extended slide release, and that was the ONLY time I used the slide release. When you have gloves on and you try to hit that slide release it's not going to be efficient, granted on most guns with bigger slide releases it would work better and faster, but in the glocks case, it's a lot more efficient imo to rack the slide.
Everybody thought the Glock was a "percelain gun". What were they thinking ? Stupid Hollywood movies. It was revolutionary and got the job done in reliability, durability, and even accuracy,
@KagaKiyomitsu, no way bro. The one way YOU can tell its a gen 2 is by the front & backstrap checkering. That wasn't introduced to the Glock till gen 2. They also didn't get the 2nd pin till the 3rd gen.
Unfortunately, the M4 fails. The H&K 416 is a new 5.56mm Assault rifle that has much less problems with jamming. Drop it in mud, water, sand and it'll still work. Just shake it off and you're good to go.
Also, nmil0231, tell us how many moving parts there are to the 17, what kind of safeties it has, and how the slide action is different from most other semi autos. I'd like to know your background.
@steveeeeboi It'd still be faster to look for the slide release and just use it instead of pulling the slide back. As far as I know people only do it because in a fire fire you're going to use a tactic that's more crude, in this case pulling the slide back.
@atgod94 Not completely illegal... You may own shotguns if you can cut through enough red tape. Police use a special revolver and the military uses Sig Sauer pistols as a sidearm I believe. I think that farmers and such in rural areas are still permitted to own rifles, but that may have changed.

I was specting "Hey hickok45 here"
haha same
I love the smooth jazz in the background.
Haha I love the softcore music with this!
Still have my original Glock 17 from 1989, still shoots as good as the day I bought it.
I just bought one, brand new, from a store. I love the aesthetics of the G17. I can't wait to go shoot it.

love the gun, love the soundtrack...
Glock has the best simplistic/recognisable design. It looks kinda high-end.. i love it.
These videos are pretty old, already old when Kafka uploaded them here in YT. The Glock used on the video is a Gen 2 example: smooth front end of the frame (ergo, no picatinny rail), no ergonomic band on the gront part of the grip, slabside extractor claw, no thumbrest dimples.
the ergonomic band/finger groove is a joke on the Gen 3 & Gen 4, thankfully they removed that on Gen 5
i couldnt have said it any better myself. you took the words right out my mouth!
G17 has awesome sounds, both when shooting and cocking
my personal handgun for my work, its a fine piece of art
this is a beatifull and effective gun. it´s my favourite pistol.
i just bought a 1st gen,, i love it

I have a soldier-like 9mm bullet Glock in a useful pistol, and it is great because it is so cool that the police have used it.
I have a Glock 26 and the accuracy is quite impressive for it's size (I have it for my concealed carry). Never shot a 17 though, but I would assume the longer barrel, sights and rifling adds to the accuracy.
this is a great gun it's light and versatile!

Beautiful handgun.
thanks needed this for animation :)
love the sound when it pops
I don't understand a word, but the shooting is awesome! :P

Best guns in the universe. Love my 27 and 22.
Got one. Easily one of the best all-round handguns out there right now.
Hey that's my glock!!!!! lol
this music is so soothing
Very nice fotage, but some how I cant stop laughing when the music and speaker starts, just wierd as hell.
Love Glock, peace!
i love the design

That jazz music though 🔥 😂

Glock is my fav. in the games and in the real life.

nice gun,i had one before.
I love these videos haha

Yes, it is a 2nd gen. 3rd gen has the finger grooves and rail. 1st gen does not have the backstrap checkering, and ghe grip is a smoother texture.
BEAUTIFUL
It's all a matter of opinion. Just because you like a certain weapon, doesn't mean that everyone else does.
This is like an infomercial. Nice gun.
バイオハザード7でもかっこよかったけど これの方がかっこいい!
@DeadMetalAirsoft it says 1st in the title witch means that it is the 1. gen. Glock 17
The one on the handle is the magazine release. Unless you're referring to the slide lock or release, in which case consult Spaxel90's comment. Anyways, great video.
its.... beautiful!!!
@ChillerKarnickel i recommend a ruger mark iii. its a 22, weak, but great pistol.

they are from a japanese TV show called Guns of the World
@edog355 no, its a 1st Gen, look at the frame pins above the trigger, the 1st gen was the only one to have only one, from 2nd and on they have 2,one right above the other.
@SNIPERSTEVE420 correct, the 1. gen did not have a build in rail also.
@2pacalypse25 g17 is a larger size 9mm so it is good for conceal if you are a larger person or if you are wearing coats in the winter and what not
@erkoekrf 1st gen Glocks do not have checkered grips.
Arguably the finest out-of-the-box handgun currently availible to the civilian market. And, hey, people who say it's ugly, I call it utilitarian.
@W1ndir It depends. It comes in many different variants. 9mm, 10mm, .45 ACP, .45 GAP, 10mm, .380 ACP and .356 SIG.
i think the c version has a componsated barrel of sorts on the top that reduces the kick or somthing-- i read about it in guns and ammo a number of years ago when it came out
Beautiful pistol
The 1st in the video name indicates that it is a 1st generation, but it is actually a 2nd gen, as indicated by the grip checkering.
@Anonymous1226 true to an extent. I think it differs with the caliber; my AR did not sound exactly like the SKS sitting next to me
@CustomWeapons

I LOVE the square shape of the gun

Not only that but the standard glock slide release is so freaking small.
