@yoongi Namjoonx Bts has openly supported lgbtq community quite a few times. Even when an interviewer asked them about their girlfriend once, Namjoon responded "we don't have any boyfriend or girlfriend right now", Taehyung has countless times promoted a gay movie "call me by your name" saying the movie has various important message so we should watch it, Jungkook's one of the favourite artist was Troye Sivan for a while and so on. All the boys have shown their support for the community in one way or the other. 💜

I like your theory. I'm actually shocked at how many people in the comments say they never even thought about it lol. I think a lot of people are hesitant to link any Kpop song to the LGBT community (even if it is really obvious lol) because Korea is generally not very accepting of it. But BTS has shown plenty of support for the community.
And I always wonder how many of yall actually believe they're lgbt supporters. I mean they are because they have to be, they need to be. Its politically correct and it's required. They actually paid any serious attention to that issue when they became super famous in the west. They made sure their lyrics are gender-neutral and began to show their public support to the community around the same time too (2017). After becoming so famous, the global liberals dragged them into their circle making them their face and voice for today's youth. Its common practice in global entertainment industry as the biggest and most influential artists are always involved in politics. Always. Thats why they were invited to speak at the UN general assembly, thas why they're invited to give speech at the Obamas event in June. It's always politics, people, and it's getting more and more political the bigger and more influential you become.
...and if you know them from their predebut and early postdebut days you'll say that they're anything but lgbt or feminist supporters. They were just ordinary Korean boys, raised the traditional Korean way. We've witnessed some h0m*Ph0bic remarks and actions of theirs in their shows, interviews etc. (RM, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga - all of them have such). Yall remember they were accused of misogyny because of RM's lyrics of War of Hormone and the whole Dark & Wild album. They were accused of hypocrisy too after their speech at the UN by some Korean feminists who reminded the public of their early music and lyrics.
My point is when you say they're lgbt supporters and feminists keep in mind what they used to be and think if a person can change so dramatically over months or a year. I'm not saying they're against this community, they've just came across this whole issue when they became famous in the west and i personally think some of them are genuinely open and accepting towards the community (or at least they try to be accepting and understanding). The others are just not against the community. Just always have in mind the way they were raised and taught, their background, culture and society.

@@neverandom3157 Actually I do believe people can change drastically even in a short amount of time. I was raised to be homophobic by my parents but once I was a teenager and started to have my own opinions I quickly changed my mind. I remember the first time I saw a gay couple kiss in an ad I felt completely disgusted, now it turns out I'm actually gay myself lol.
My point is that even if they were raised a certain way it is very possible that they have changed. Also support for LGBT isn't actually all that uncommon among the younger generation in Korea.
Besides all that they have shown support way before becoming big in the west. In fact RM actually participated in writing an LGBT supportive song for another Kpop group pre-debut! And if it was all for show you would think that the support would mainly be confined to things like interviews and music videos, however some of their most supportive moments were not in those contexts.
They are all poetic in their own style but I guess Namjoon, Yoongi and Taehyung has ways with words... 😂

Based on the letters BTS have written to each other I’d say V bc that boy’s emotional intelligence IQ is through the roof. He just has such a unique way of expressing his feelings through words, that I feel, is unmatched.

I swear you are the cutest thing. I had never thought/heard/imagined that theory. You weren't even the train station to be on the right track. However, you owned it and believed in what you were saying and that's commendable. DNA brings me back to RMs UN speech "No matter who you are, where you’re from, your skin colour, gender identity: speak yourself." More simply put, "Don't be scuuured". I'm going to look up some theories tonight and let you know if I see yours.
A lot of their songs hits different when u r a Part of the LGBTQ+ community and DNA is one of them for me it's basically saying "don't worry about others..... it's not our choice..... it's our in DNA" I've never really seen any analysis of DNA but that's what I get from it

As for your theory, I mean, could be. On the surface the song is about love between two people. That for sure doesn't exclude any groups whatsoever. Love is love, but this is the first time I hear that theory that it's specifically supporting the nature theory in the LGBT+ community. That I know of, the most popular interpretation is that the song is about them coming together through the cosmos as well as ARMY. That it was meant to be that we'd all find each other. But BTS definitely is in support of the LGBT+ community, so you might have hit on something the rest of us missed, lol.

@@aarceeandtannies2217 in the mv, you'll spot several wormholes. as you may know, wormholes are speculative structures and have not yet been actually proven, however, they are used in several theories regarding space time. and as the bangtan universe includes time travel, these wormholes are implying to the gateway through which jin is able to time travel in order to save the rest of the members or at least, it is one of the theories. in one of their vcrs in 2017, they had shown several wormholes, which means, they are an important aspect of the mv. im sorry for the late reply lmao i was highkey panicking for my school math test scheduled tomorrow egrghtnhjjy

3rd year of middle school, it might be a tender age to say that one’s in love. But it was a memory that held my true feelings from those heart aching memories.
I’m embarrassed to say but I liked a girl last year in my 2nd year of middle school.
Since I’m very shy, I wasn’t able to talk to her, so we stayed friends.
I became greedier as we got closer. I didn’t want to stay a friend, so I confessed my feelings.
But she said yes when I confessed I liked her.
We ended up dating but that’s when the problems started. Because I was so shy, I couldn’t act naturally with her now that she was my girlfriend.
I didn’t pay attention to her and compared to how our relationship was when we were just friends, there was a clear difference. Our relationship became awkward more than anything.
We didn’t date that long and due to all these problems she said let’s just be friends and broke off the relationship. When I heard those words I felt like a side of my chest was hollow. I felt deserted.
I truly understood where she was coming from when she broke off the relationship and I went into reflection after that.
I would think about everything I did wrong and how I could better myself. I also think back now about those days and wish I would’ve behaved differently.
If I could go back, I would treat her way better and I know I could do more for her. I would tell her I loved her and liked her proudly.
Thinking back to those days is hurtful and regretful for me. If she’s hearing me speak this confessional letter I want to say the following to her.
I am very sorry for treating you that way. You must’ve felt so hurt when I behaved like that. I personally think back and look at it as a good memory now.

The color concept represents the bubbly and bright stage of a relationship, friendship and self love. Which is their first album out of 3. Each album in the Love Yourself Project showcases the stages of love. First album is bright and colorful like the start of every relationship and friendship.
1st album: Love Yourself (Her)
Jimin opened with Serendipity. It's sweet, bright and lovely.
2nd album: Love Yourself (Tear)
Taehyung opened with Singularity. It's dark, heartbreaking and sad.

Jin opened with Epiphany. It's about acceptance and loving ones self and others. Moving forward in positivity.
It's not directed to one type of love, imstead it's for everyone. It applies to everyone. Those who are suffering from an unhealthy relationship or friendship. Those going through stress and depression from home or work. Those who are hateful towards themselves. BTS covered every corner of the love concept.
I've never had problems with family and friends, instead I had no self love. I didn't care what would happen to me as long as my mom was safe and happy. My mom is my entire heart. I don't know how to be sad and depressed because of how I grew up. Some thought I was a mean b*tch because they only ever see me smile or with a blank face. I didn't get the idea of why emotions were important, but that was before I found BTS and got to know more about their music and the message they were telling the world. It's been 3 1/2 years and I've made some progress, changing me is hard asf. I LOVE BTS SO MUCH💜💜💜💜

I'm sure that there are more than two of the members in "the community" 😅 Maybe all of them. Personally I don't really mind if they love a man, a woman, both, their sexuality is not my business, but I'd be very happy that they send that message for the younger generations, that you can love everyone, you can love a girl, a boy, yourself, and you're perfect the way you are, the way you love. I think they've helped a lot of young (and not that young) people that are struggling with depression, anxiety, or acceptance of their sexuality. And it's the greatness of BTS.

Their bond is just really sweet🥺 they’re the same age so they can relate to each other a lot more & they are self-proclaimed soulmates (as they also mention in the song Friends). I think the great thing about BTS is that they leave music videos up for interpretation and love hearing fan-theories; so never feel ashamed for how you may view it. Lord though, you are NOT ready for the touching letter V writes to Jimin in BV3, all the guys have to write to a specific member decided by the staff; it's a tear jerk-er. As an aside, they performed DNA in the US at the BBMA's I think, if you wanted to check out that video. But DT: WHEN ARE YOU GONNA REACT TO GCF?????!!! I know getting around the music in the video's can be difficult, I've seen other listen with an earbud and then put different music over the video so they play it safe; just saying. REALLY want you to check out GCF in Tokyo and Saipan specifically, Jungkook did such an amazing job.

I always thought the colours were there to showcase how beautiful the world looks when you're in love, to follow the head-over-heels-in-love-theme of Love Yourself: Her. This is a pretty interesting view, though - and it makes sense, too! BTS always has double meanings so it could well be intentional

To tell the truth, I have become stronger with my mwntality because of these guys. They teach me so many things. Their songs, never giving up courage, hardwork and love and care others and friendship wise they have made me better person than I was before I came across BTS. I'm so thankful. No other artists could bring this kind of an impact to my life. Only BTS. That's another reason to support them.

I never thought of that theory! But i can definitely see how you got that from the video. I always took it as, young love from a man's perspective. When you meet someone every thing about this person excites you. It feels natural like it's been prpgrammed in your DNA to be together. You meet this person and the world is in high definition and all the colors seen brighter and more beautiful.

This was the first thing I saw/heard of BTS and it broke my brain! I don't even remember my first listen I was so mesmerised. Also, it took me three listens to realise I couldn't understand a word. lol
I don't think colors represent that, it just represents love as something colorful and beautiful, and that love of course could be between two men or women.
I feel the same. The bright colours and clothing are a way to express the euphoria, happiness and newness that one feels when they first fall in love. Everything feels bright and shiny in the beginning. As we know, things turn a bit darker as they move onto Fake Love as the theme moves forward. In Boy With Luv we again see the bright colours that mirror happiness and joy.

Interesting fact: they stopped using 'girl' and 'her/herself' pronouns since Love yourself: her. This was their last album until MOPS:7 where they used girl in their lyrics (Dimple). In Tear, Answer and MOPS: Persona they don't use it anymore. They used only the neutral 'baby'. 7 is the first album ever since when they called out the 'girl' again (Filter). Their lyrics became too politically correct but i think they're starting to get over it little by little trying to stay true to their authentic culture and understanding abt these issues without being disrespectful towards women or ignoring their LGBT fans. And I believe thats the best approach. We all remember their early lyrics, when they used to use so many 'girls' in there (Hold me tight, Let me know, Miss right, I like it pt. 1 and 2, Just one day, War of hormone, Look here, I need u, Cyphers, 21st century girl, etc.)

Just because they used them before doesn't mean they prefer to use gendered pronouns. We don't know their actual intentions when writing. And it's not politically correct or not staying true to themselves by being gender neutral in lyrics when they know they have fans from all walks of life and all gender identities. It's them staying true to their message of inclusion and their perceptions of humanity. And if they do use pronouns or not it doesn't mean we can conclude anything either way.
@@jebalifyouplz We actually do know their intentions and yeah, they did it on purpose. After writing War of Hormone, RM was harshly criticized about the lyrics, he was accused of misogyny. He shared in an interview that he got very upset and depressed receiving so much criticism so from that moment on he went on a consultation with some professor in women studies to make sure his lyrics are not offensive towards women in any way. He also said that after that incident he started to read and study about social phenomena. Their lyrics are absolutely politically correct from that moment on and became gender-neutral. And, that was forced, intended action for sure. The one who commented abt Filter up there - yes, you're right, i forgot abt that, the lyrics of the song are not theirs. They continue to be politically correct in their lyrics and it shows. I hate it actually but i'm glad they're willing to involve absolutely everyone in their fandom, not ignoring their lgbt and straight male fans.

RM did come to mind first in writing a love letter, but I actually think they would all do well in love letters (in their own way of course). They all say the most touching things to Army, and I think he guys are inspired by each other. I honestly have never thought about DNA that way or even heard people say so, but hey, with BTS songs/lyrics, you can apply it how it means to you. I tend to think when it comes to love, their message is always universal and can also apply to ARMY. DNA is the song that made me aware of BTS’ existence, because it was the first song they performed on American television on the AMAs. It took me over a year after before I woke up and became a real fan, even though I was impressed by their talent and their style of music sounded like something I listen to. Now I regret missing a lot fo their years one existence lol.

They are best friends. Both are the same age and that holds significance in relationships in Korean culture. They also went through hardships together. V especially had a hard time as he has lost close friends to suicide and both his grandparents that brought him up have passed. People are too quick to make assumptions. In Korean culture showing physical affection to friends of the same sex is common and not taken as a sign of your sexuality. Western cultures are not like that and are critical and make assumptions if there are physical displays of affection between friends of the same sex.
Actually, Asians are generally affectionate and they show this obviously by being "touchy" to express that they care, they are concerned and ready to attend to you when you need it.
