Fish stories are about as good as watching a top water take or that line stop that feels like a snag then moves. Thanks Roland👍🏻 I miss my Dad’s stories while working waters in the boat together. I can still hear his laugh and guidance when I conquer waters on my own while donning a smile to myself.
Love the spinnerbait story. This video caught my interest, caught 2- eight pounders yesterday evening on them. Very memorable indeed. Keep the videos coming Roland.
I enjoy listening about your experiences. I am also a spinnerbait fanatic as well. I was fortunate to live close to Barlow's Tackle in Richardson, Tx and be able to go in there and get stuff to make my own lures. Just like you, I like to pass that information on to others. Yes, I do know about that curse about catching a bass on the first cast. It has happened to me, but that's another story.
These fishing stories are great!! blue fox i use to like using the spinners from them for trout when I was younget.I actually have a Roland Martin big bass spinnerbait from blue fox.
I would have thought you had a lifetime supply of the Terminator titanium wire spinnerbaits lol. I thought I remember hearing you tell a story about catching the biggest bass of your life on one of those at one point. Or maybe it was biggest bass you had caught in a tournament. Could have been Jimmy or Hank that said that too. Either way thanks for sharing Roland. This is my second time watching this particular video, love hearing the stories while getting all the pro tips👍
I make mine to Roland and I'm going to try the white blade next, I have made black chrome ones before but white will imitate a shad better. Great story!
Can't even imagine what was going through that guy's head. Though he was fishing with Roland, so not completely out of the ordinary either. Great story!
Hey Roland, have ever tried some of the older model hard baits lately like a ZARA SPOOK OR jitter Bug? These are definitely really old lures . However with a generational change of fish it seems to still really catch fish with the newer generation.
Yes I knew Gadabout Gaddis and he was a real inspiration. One nite in Houston, Texas, Gadabout, Ray Scott , Bill Dance and myself were looking for a restaurant still open after a big bass seminar we had just done. At the time , Gadabout was in his 80's and I was in my 30's. He took off jogging looking for a Chinese restaurant and left us all in the dust. He found one about 3-4 blocks away and we all had a good meal! What a guy!
After all these years of fishing, you still have the same excitement and enthusiasm for the sport. Gotta love it!
You are absolutely the best and an inspiration to all fisher persons ...LOL..LOL.LOL

Mr. Martin, what is that powder coating and where ca I buy? I love your presentation.
Powder coating paint is baked and is the most durable ever!
How can you not love roland
I am really excited to get into tinkering spinnerbaits and trying to craft some custom baits of other kinds..where to begin?
Have you ever thought of a podcast and just tell stories
You're right on there..these stories are so great and they really help me relax and wind down in the evening too..
This ⬆️
No kidding. Roland could tell these non stop and not be able to tell us all of them. He has more time on the water than most of us could dream of.
Good story!
Nice
I love Jimmy H and Bill Dance but there’s nobody like Roland mr. Holly Wood of fishing .
Your luck was predestined after you found her favorite Rod & Reel... 🎣🎣🎣
Hey Roland, have ever tried some of the older model hard baits lately like a ZARA SPOOK OR jitter Bug? These are definitely really old lures . However with a generational change of fish it seems to still really catch fish with the newer generation.
Great story
Roland, did you know Gaddabout Gaddis, he was the "flying fisherman", would he be considered one the first professionals?
Yes I knew Gadabout Gaddis and he was a real inspiration. One nite in Houston, Texas, Gadabout, Ray Scott , Bill Dance and myself were looking for a restaurant still open after a big bass seminar we had just done. Now you’re cooking with gas roland 👍😎
I absolutely cannot stand U-bend spinnerbaits. For me they tend to foul up sometimes when casting in windy conditions.
Lol you know its serious when then blow torch comes out
If I’m going to believe in a superstition, I’ve consciously decided to only believe in good luck or omens!
If you don't catch one on the first cast you can not catch one every cast
Ngomong apa kaki daplun ora jelas ra ngerti ngomong apa rika ki kaki daplun 😁
You talk, REPEAT, too much and show top little.
Looks like I'm gonna be making me some white spinners !! Thanks.
Nice
