I like that CRKT is doing premium models now made by good companies, probably the best models they offer now. Most are priced ok as well so far. They have to start using 14c and 154cm on their more budget options now tho if they wanna compete.
Definitely my next purchase, recently picked up my dream knife in the CRKT Redemption and I'm in love with it! This would be my daily edc, while the Redemption will be more for going out for the day🤘
CRKT has always been "meh" to me. I kinda rank them w Gerber. A step above gas station knives at best. Better than nothing in a pinch. But when i can pick up a QSP, CJRB or Civivi on sale for $25 to $35 if I look around CRKT isn't even on the radar. If they keep making steps in the right direction, tho, i might start giving them some attention. Good vid Jared!
I always took one premium and one OTHER to deployments. Bith if which I'd give away to interpreters, allies or other. I do have my M21 (NOT VEFF) from my final work. Maybe not premium, but man it was the PERFECT other. GREAT review, as always. Appreciate what you do.
I do agree that they overcharge for some pretty basic materials. 28$ seems a bit heavy for some 420j2 or 89$ seems pretty heavy for some 8cr 14mov. Really cool models but not enough powder for the charge.
my one complaint when i got this was the g10 being fush and right up against the clip means the fabric of your pants is going to be pinched and cause some quick wear and tear. In my humble opinion
It definitely pulls influence from the Scimitar swords used in the early 1700s in and around the Middle East. Very nice knife, probably going to pick something up for a new edc
They're stepping up some of the materials but not enough to compete with companies like Civivi, Kizer, Kubey, Miguron, CJRB, Vosteed, etc, ESPECIALLY on price. However, still stronger than Kershaw 2024 lineup - except for Bel Air and new Iridium shape, I was VERY unimpressed. Thanks!
Cool little CRKT. They really seem to be "hit or miss" with their designs. Hey, just checked out your hoodie for sale and the size chart is a bit wonky. Look at the dimensions for Length and Sleeve between the L and the LT. Doesn't make sense. I normally wear Large tall, but I can't do 33" sleeves.
CRKT still 4 years too late really cool design and ideas but honestly. No name companies that pop up on Amazon still run circles around them. I grew up on CRKT but I know better now.
Nice ones, but again no reversible clip...just like Böker i like a lot of models from both companies but as long as they think lefties are neglectable i spent my money elsewhere. If they still think they can afford that kind of product politics with emerging brands like civivi, sencut, reel steel and so on, good luck! There`s really no need to make compromises with the wrong clip position, total nogo..
Come on man…. Are you really not going to tell me if WE OAO passes the spine wack test? You’re supposed to help knife enthusiasts to decide and I asked you this for the fourth time now.
@@NeevesKnives I now that OAO is not in this video, I asked the same question in the comments of OAO video before you didn’t reply so I took my chance here… Anyway, thanks, I really didn’t want to bother you but before I even consider spending 500€+ I got to know if the knife passes the spine wack test.👍🤜🤛
@@NeevesKnives No I didn’t see the OAO fail, unfortunately until present there are only two valid videos of OAO one of them is yours, I asked the other guy the same but until now no reply… If I find out something new about it, I’ll let you know…
Also rooting for CRKT, no reason why but they have a unique place.

Love how in depth you go sir.
I'm good on crkt. They pretty much dropped the ball some years ago and never recovered in my opinion.
I like the black one best. Thanks Jared
CRKT with a decent budget knife. No way!! I dig the one with the hole…

A mostly agree, I know they have the ability to do great stuff because I've seen it, they just charge to much, and the competition is heavy

They look nice but there's a long list of knives I'd rather have for $65.

They have a very Italian Giant Mouse feel.
I have a couple of there knifes.
Pretty good so far.
These do have a great look to them.
I like the look of this but I just can't seem to get on board with crkt
Probably a good alternative to the Kershaw Highball
Nice looking knives, I own several CRKT products. Too bad they aren't left handed carry friendly.
Boker is coming out with some interesting models this year, would love to see some on the channel if you can.

Benchmade is the new Crkt
I am pretty new to knives. What do you mean by that?
@@voidofbeeswax Overpriced for mediocre materials
@@MikeCzenkMD Thank you.
Why can't they figure out songwriter as simple as a plunge grind? Steel Bearings? Come on CRKT!

Yeah, hoping there USA stuff is really good since I think hogue is doing it
Hogue is absolute U.S.A. value I love them❤️
Ik this doesn’t have anything to do with the vid, Have you tried the new breed edc “the clydesdale” bc if not I’ll send you my model for review
Yes I believe I have a first impressions on it, I had a proto come in before release
Hey Jared I was wondering how effective the kpl original oil is at preventing rust on cruewear? If it's not effective what should I use?
Cruwear is semi stainless. Its practically stainless in my use. Same with D2.
yeh nah...
It looks like a hand rubbed satin finish, but not finished.
Crkt is run by a bunch of hipsters. Might want to think twice about rooting for them.
Blade hole wins.
