So unfortunate that thunderbirds bombed and they blame him for it instead of the executives who decided to put it up against spiderman..he could have been one of the top directors in hollywood..

When you asked Frakes how it came about that he landed the role as Riker on TNG, I'm thinking about how John De Lancie landed the role as Q. I'm thinking maybe it was because of he was on "Days of Our Lives" around the same time as De Lancie. Possible?

So this is the dude that was behind that 2005 movie remake of The Thunderbirds. Well, on that effort I just hope he never directs a project again. That movie was the biggest pile of Hollywood shit!! It was just crap! Like most American directors lately they change things. They ignore the proven successful formulas that originally made many of the old cult tv shows huge in their day. So, The Thunderbirds Movie was a rotten, stinking mess! It failed miserably at the box office. Many toy shops here in OZ went broke, because they foolishly bought up big with the crap toy merch that came out! I refused to buy any of it. I still collect T’Birds toys today.
