Very informative video. Thank you. You have inspired me to get a box of these and paint them as my first napoleonics project.

I'm half way through painting this box of figures so this video is very good timing I did think my self that the officer looked the easier model to paint really looking forward to painting the drummer , I always leave my command to last as a sort of treat at the end of the battalion. Take care Terry

It is nice to have something to look forward to. I have done these in the middle of the project to break up the monotony of the rank and file.

I’m very glad that you go into such detail in your explanation of how to make the models. It’s the tips and experience that I gain from watching your content that is really valuable to a new model maker. Thanks very much sir.

You're very welcome. I aim to de-mystify Napoleonic gaming for the newcomer!

Nice & helpful video. Wasn't the dtummer uniform changed to green universally as part if the 1812 reforms? (Obviously not everyone changed immeidatley if at all).

Yeah, I believe it's one of those situations where those were the regulations, but it's a slow change. I am doing mine for 1813 and I am happy to have a mix of colours. You also then have some regiments at Waterloo wearing the blue king's livery! Maybe should've given more details in the vid but don't want to go all information overload on folk!

@@CullodenPaintingStudio oh it's a total mass of confusion. Look at the Rhine regiments in Spain. Some told should be in shako but unknown if the shako reached them. Trouser changes, plus of course refits and repairs!

    • @CullodenPaintingStudio

@@BrushQuill it's an absolute minefield! However, it is nice to have some leeway when painting and modelling.

Helpful video, as I have these on my workbench :) Thanx to you I've realized, that the eagle rod is blue :) I automatically started to paint it 'wooden' ... Did you somehow 'correct' the drum? I had to (good there's one drum on every sprue, so I could screw up some) - because the straps were pretty rough around joint lines. Thanx for sharing, keep up the good work!

    • @CullodenPaintingStudio

Yeah, the drums are one of the weak points of the set. I didn't do anything special really, just shaved the sprue gates with the craft knife.

@@CullodenPaintingStudio Yeah, I was pretty mad about that, so I had to cut off some straps and re-create them using greenstuff...

@@upirupirovic7139 I guess it's really tough to cast a drum in a single piece, so we have to make do with ugly straps!
