CJ is the top of top tier QB. He's the most ideal QB on and off the field. There's nothing negative about him. He's the ONE and the FACE of the entire NFL. Period.
Appreciate the coverage. Zero concerns about Diggs. The culture established by DeMeco is too strong for any madness and I don't think it ever becomes a concern.
Huge Texan fan since June 2002! I am really hoping the sophomore slump does not affect CJ but I must admit the sophomore slump is real with that being said welcome back Damien Pierce.
Diggs loves the culture here. Loves his fellow WRs and QB. Nobody doesn’t love Demeco. It’s literally impossible for the drama that ppl wish for to happen. Houston knows this. He loves it here. The aura is different here. CJ and the culture here are insanely lovable. Not to mention winning.
At this point media sees that are going to be wrong and now they’re really trying to drag this shit. They gone make sure if Diggs don’t get the TDs he gone get his yards. We only saw one game Bobby ain’t gonna start bringing out the big guns till mid season we gotta relax
Diggs will be fine. Texans are poised to be true contenders. I believe they are capable of beating any group of teams consecutively. If they played Lions, 49ers, Chiefs, Ravens, Eagles in a row I could see a 5-0, 4-1. They will be tough to beat this year week in and week out foe anyone.
Most definately they are stacked like crazy now and looking pretty good.....Not a texans fan but if they can dispose of the Chiefs in the playoffs (which i know they will get into)...I will be happier than a pig rolling around in mud
As long as the Texans stay healthy they will be formidable contenders. There’s a lot of football left and we just gotta see them play the games and let it pan out
Diggs was disgruntled because he was the obvious #1 and they didn't want to use him like that in Buffalo. Here, he's not the obvious by himself #1. It's almost like 1's A-C. Not exactly, but close. Then on top of that, Mixon's going to ball out if the first game's any indication and we haven't even gotten to the tight ends. The only pressure on Diggs is to just do what he does; catch, run, score. He'll be fine.
Diggs is on a one year deal, and he will be on his best behavior because he wants another contract next year. Ontop of that, its clear he gets along well with everyone on the Texans. He's having FUN!
Every time Diggs sneezes this year the clickbaiters are going to go ham. When/if it's a problem, then I will waste energy on it. But I won't make something out of nothing like all of the talking heads acting like he is Terrell Owens or something.
I happen to see Stefon Diggs with Houston in a similar vein as AB was with Tampa Bay that first year. Houston has their main guys in Tank and Nico. Stefon is just the cherry on the top of an already solid team. Texans made the Divisional Round without him last year. They have an explosive running game with Joe Mixon, Cam Akers, Dameon Pierce, and British Brooks. Dalton Schultz, Brevin Jordan and Cade Stover are all solid TEs. Obviously, CJ Stroud is going to run the show well, as long as the OL keeps him upright. Stefon can just be that little bit extra that pushes Houston over the top. If he doesn’t, we only needed to have him here for a year.
@@JWLSports -- AFC South rivals , last game they played came down to the last play of the game to make the playoffs in the same building and now AR5 is healthy , two QB's that were drafted #2 & #4 in the same draft and Stroud being a top5 QB with a star-studded WR room. It just didn't make sense.
Yeah but the lions vs rams was a playoff rematch, ravens vs chiefs playoff rematch, and Monday was the return of Aaron Rodgers. But I hear what you’re saying!
Wow you might’ve just solved what was really wrong with Allen and Diggs. You said Diggs wants to feel “involved in the game”. I can honestly tell you I have seen Josh Allen throw incomplete passes to stefon Diggs in clutch moments than memorable plays. Maybe with the Texans he feels that it only isn’t him who can win the game by being the most involved in the game. Only because he saw how good Nico and tank are from the season before and training together.
The Texans are gonna be very good this season and also I even predicted the Colts are gonna be a sneaky Dark horse team as long as AR is healthy! The colts are no joke this year people need to watch out for them
In Buffalo. They weren’t winning and he was wide open while Allen was running and not throwing to him. So if he wanted to not win and use him, that is frustrating to a competitor. In Houston, CJ gets it you if you’re open. Wins. and doesn’t run it and leave you standing g there wide open
Diggs won’t be a problem for CJ , CJ can communicate and understand him better then any of those WHITE QBs that have nothing in common with Diggs besides they play football together , CJ can talk to him in a while different manner then what Kirk and Josh could , Kirk back then walked on egg shells and Josh till this day walks on egg shells when it comes to his own teammates CJ won’t do that and if you think that’s not a real thing then you’re about to find out this year how much it matters 🤷♂️
I think diggs understands what’s needed. I think he understands he’s not gunna be the focus of the offense… which is why I believe he was voted captain. He seemed more disgruntled about his team constantly failing, and if that truly was his concern, then surely he knows he won’t be a 120 catch, 1400 yard receiver. I think he just wants to win and be trusted as a vet
The question and the notion that’s he’s some problem is redundant. It’s lazy and it’s not going to be a problem. Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on everything that has nothing to do with winning
of all the high maintenance Diva WRs, is Diggs the most disruptive? who cares if he starts pouting? Ryans, Stroud and the rest of the team will keep him in line. if not, he'll be gone next year anyway.
So Diggs was disgruntled because the Bills weren’t able to win a superbowl? What happens if the Texans also can’t beat the Chiefs. Will Diggs become disgruntled again? Also the Bills are Josh Allen centric because they have to be. They never had a true WR2 while Diggs was there and they don’t really have a WR1 now.
Diggs is a distraction on the field he needs big numbers for off-season pay day if it continues he's not getting paid and they have to hope they win if the start to lose he will get blame for it
He should celebrate his touchdowns with his teammates, not alone, staring at the crowd with all his touchdown dances. He should celebrate together with those that help them get in the end zone.
Hey Julian....Like your takes etc...But Diggs have matured? I seriously doubt it...He only played for 2 teams and got himself out due to his crappy attitude...guy is on the Terrel Owens trajectory. Houston should be smooth sailing for the rest of this season but if things go drastically wrong may hear some tidbits here/there from him. Lastly....Diggs is either on a pitstop with Houston...they may resign him or another team picks him up...He needs to be on his best behavior no doubt...my 2 sense...Also i think Diggs wouldnt be happy as a continued 2nd or 3rd option on a team...He WANTS to be the #1 so we will see how all this plays out
Thank you! And yeah I think it’s totally fair everything you said. I’m just feeling pretty optimistic today. But trust me, I ripped Diggs for his time/issues with Allen. So I’m no Diggs apologist

Demeco is the alpha male of the Texans organization. Diggs knows this and will stay in his lane. My prediction

The last two teams Diggs was with couldn’t get over the hump. That’s probably what made him disgruntled.
FACTS! So many people miss that point. Not about his touches. It’s about winning.
He didn't have an accurate quarterback
As long as the Texans win and make a huge run each year and get over the hump he’ll be fine

Im amazed at how many are tuned in and invested in seeing Diggs mess up. Emotionally tied to his downfall. I've never felt that way about any player
Warriors Texas analogy spot on. If we are successful it will definitely look like a team of stars and an all star team
Thank you! Appreciate it!
good good take
