Reynoldsburg 3rd Alarm Fire (8/9/18)

- Truro Township, Ohio, Firefighters, with mutual aid from numerous other companies, battled a 3rd Alarm blaze in a Reynoldsburg hotel. First due Truro Township companies (Department 160) reported heavy fire out the front of the building, and Battalion 161 immediately requested the second alarm. The flames, thought to have originated in the attic, ultimately gutted the entrance and lobby of the two-story structure, though firefighters were able to prevent it from spreading to most of the guest rooms. Mutual aid companies from Columbus, Mifflin Township (130), Jefferson Township (140), Whitehall (150), Madison Township (180), West Licking Joint Fire District (400), and Violet Township (590), along with Box 15, Reynoldsburg Police, and Columbus Police all assisted. One firefighter was treated and released on scene, and one person was transported for unrelated medical issues.

To my knowledge, this was the biggest response in Franklin County this year. It worked though, as they managed to save most of the building.
1:02 What was the fire truck that has a PA300? Was that the Mifflin Township Fire Department, or the Violet Township?
I don't think it was the Violet Township Fire Department Quint 351, but I think it was the Mifflin Township Fire Department Engine 133. Not all the fire trucks from Mifflin Township have PA300, but just a couple.
You've actually heard the Mifflin Township fire trucks respond before. It's upon your house of the distant noise of it. Also when you and your brother Mifflin just got out with you parents, and your ears got a little shattered because of the sirens and air horns.

You sure it was Madison Twp 181 I know 182 would possibly respond because there right there in Canal Winchester if it is 181 that's a long haul for them coming from Groveport

Most likely they had been moved up to cover an empty station, or were intentionally chosen to spread out the response and avoid leaving large uncovered areas. They were due on the third alarm, so likely were not in as much of a hurry either way.

It is not comfortable to know that you have to pay for a room that is in a building that burns so easily. What are fire codes for if they permit this type of lightweight construction.
The good news it the fire drove all the roaches and bedbugs out.

So that's why they cancelled my reservation. I needed a place to crash before the first day of Lost Lands. I thought they just did it so they could overcharge someone for my room.
Also I want to get Whitehalls new engine so bad lol
