I haven’t listened to music for years, anxiety and depression reasons.. I’ve just lost someone, the most precious person we can lose. And yours is the first song I’ve purposely listened to. My husband looked at me, startled, because I’m listening to music..

I hope listening to this helped to regrow the part of you that you had lost. Regina Spektor is good for that. @@Roman-hg6rg Couldn’t agree more. My anxiety and depression has been awful the last few months after a thoracic disc herniation. Music is my home. And it helps inspire me to want to pick up my henna again. I pray others find healing through great lyricists and writers (if the music) like a Regina. Definitely check out Fiona Apple and Ani Difranco. They sort of pioneered this sort of music. And then there’s Mitski; young like Regina and stupid crazy talented lyrics and vocals as well.

Something about this song leaves a strong feeling inside me, its like hurt and hope mixed together. And Regina consistently makes me feel things like this and that is why I adore her music.
I had the hapiness of seeing her live back in 2013, in São Paulo, Brazil. I was 17 and it was the happiest day of my entire life. I listen to her crazy, corky, classy, funny and insanely deep songs since I was 14. I'm 26 now, and through these 12 years, she has been the soundtrack of the history of me. I wish she'd come again to Brazil. I'm a whole other person now, and it would be amazing to see her again, to listen to her and feel like I'm coming home.

I was around 9 or 10 when i heard her first albums songs & 11:11. my sister who's 5 years older than me showed me& my other sister Regina! My whole family has been hooked ever since, even my dad lol. I'm 28 and he told me a couple years ago that his favourite memories of our childhoods were him driving us to&from school etc and us all singing regina spektor in the car.♥️💞

Agreed! Check out Fiona Apple’s newest album! She and Ani DiFranco sort of pioneered this genre in the 90’s and their music stands up to today’s issues because, well, heartbreak, love, healing, personal growth, etc, is always relevant. My big sister introduced me to Ani and Fiona in the 90’s when she was in high school and college and I was 4 years younger. My sister introduced me to real music; not the crap they play on the radio. Please check them out, too! I think y’all will love them, too! Fiona Apple actually just dropped a record that she recorded at home I believe in 2021. It’s SO good, begging y’all to check them out and hoping someone comes back and tells me they checked them out or know who they are! They’re like the OG’s if this genre and Fiona is a crazy talented pianist as is Ani but Ani plays guitar like you wouldn’t believe.

Regina you have been my main vein musically since I was 16. I had 100 of your underground, unreleased songs on repeat (and still do). You showed me that being quirky, musical, creative, odd, nonsensical and living in a world that feels like whimsy was beautiful.
You inspired me to buy my first full piano… and learn SO many of your songs. My husband fell inlove with me when I played ‘Ghost of Corporate Future’ like a week into dating in 2012.
