@Love So meditation turns you into an emotionless zombie? Nope. I have friends who meditate regularly and they are able to express gratitude when receiving gifts. They take obstacles in stride, but they are still able to express how happy they are when things go well.

Some people feel awkward when it comes to receiving gifts. I love giving gifts and go all out when it comes to that, but I never know how to act when someone gives me something! I do appreciate it though I’m sure he’s probably the same way.

Caelynn an unsolicited tip for your man's next birthday/Christmas, mix up the practical (like waterproof camera bags and something to find keys?) with some sentimental/thoughtful gifts. You can tell what kinda gifts someone might like to receive by what they themselves give. He was heavy on the sentimental. Maybe that's why he's a bit 'meh' to a bunch of stuff he could have ordered himself, online.

I was married to a guy that had a tough upbringing like Dean and he also had many sides to his persona. Shyness especially when the attention was solely on him. I believe Dean is in truly in love with Caelynn - he's transparent about the changes in himself he's working on not only for himself but for Caelynn as well. He confessed he had trouble committing to one relationship at the beginning but he also made it clear he doesn't wish to live his private love life on camera. Let's be careful how we judge.
