"Jens" is Jens Stoltenberg, former prime minister of Norway and current head of NATO. Overall quite popular, for a politician. His father Thorvald Stoltenberg was also a popular politician (arguably even moreso than Jens), hence the "daddy's boy" comment I guess. "Gahr Støre" is Jonas Gahr Støre, politician from the same party as Stoltenberg. When this song was made was probably when he was minister for foreign affairs in Stoltenberg's government, and he is now Norway's current prime minister, since 2021. He was very popular back then, not so much anymore.
Jan Egeland currently runs the Norwegian Refugee Council and has stood for humanity for years. He is vocal about all the current global issues and is frequently on the ground helping people. A real hero!!
From what I remember the boys had him on their Talk Show and some reviewer said they didn't "Treat him with enough respect" so they wrote this song as a tribute. 😂😂😂😂
I do believe that Ylvis had a consert very close to Egelands home on one of his birthdays. And the humor aside, this is a tribute. Jan Egeland have done so much good!!! Google him... But Ylvis is GREAT!! And yes, I'm Norwegian. :)
Jens (Stoltenberg) is a former prime minister of Norway and the current Nato leader. (Jonas) Gahr Støre is the current prime minister 😊 there is not a video of the reaction because it was in a HRW (human rights watch) meeting he saw it the first time, but Ylvis had him as a guest on their talkshow, "I kveld med Ylvis" but I've only found it in Norwegian with Chinese(!) subtitles 😅
I think the band with them on stage is Datarock. I could be mistaken, but that is definitely the drummer from Datarock at least, although he's probably in other bands as well.
Ylvis have done songs recently, but they are in Norwegian. They had a series called ylvis in sogn 1,5 year ago. Last fall, and they made several songs in a short time, it was a challenge they took upon themselves. Some turned out great and some was just ok ;)
@@SaeedReacts. it’s in Norwegian. I like them but I don’t know if theres subtitles under:) some are rather catchy and some are just scrambled together. It was a tough challenge to create so many songs in a short time😅
Jaan Eegeelaan is in Norwegian. The daddys boy Jens, in the song, is now the leader of Nato - Jens Stoltenberg. Remember these songs were song some yers ago :)
They are both exelent musicans, singers and comedians. All their songs are on the funny side. Maybe you remember ‘ What does the fox say’some years ago? I think you will like ‘Stonehenge’.. Too funny😂 Thanks for the reaction❤
Keep them coming! Great reaction:) Would recommend "work it" next, or "someone like you". The former has vital sex ed, the latter combines musical theater and dubstep. What more could you want?
@SaeedReacts. Thanks for the review. My daughter heard "What does the fox say" by Ylvis and went totally mad so had to go through their music. This is a catchy tune "Jan Egeland"
they are comedians but with an insane musical talent, all the songs you've heard so far are from their comedy talkshow "tonight with ylvis/i kveld med ylvis". they've always done music but in a comical sense. the closeness i'd say theyve done to "serious" music is from their show stories from norway since they told stories in each episode with a musical/comedy twist but some songs were more serious (i would recommend the songs "Alenemor (the songs in norwegian but this version has english subs th-cam.com/video/wOH9TZ6_1eA/w-d-xo.html ), What will I say (songs in english and reposted here th-cam.com/video/v8lBFZrkMEo/w-d-xo.html ), and Tango Problematique (songs in english but this post has spanish subs lol th-cam.com/video/vokxt3DcJws/w-d-xo.html ) all of these are missing context of the full episode lol but they still sound amazing and work pretty well on their own.
Thanks for these. I have a few reactions recorded and they were hilarious! Coming this week. Will add your recommendations to my list. Have a good one!
I dont know 😅. Maybe cause i write myself, or obsessed with creating stuff myself for years. But i get it wrong often as well so, there is that 😅. Thanks for watching!
Ylvis also parodies different music styles with lyrics that both have some seriousness in them but also have a humorous edge. They have songs that parodies many different music-styles, try this the next time. :) th-cam.com/video/ua1FAlHt_Ys/w-d-xo.htmlsi=A1kW54NSnCEhVOo9
Great reaction! Ylvis received a complaint to their show that they had not congratulated Jan Egeland on his birthday, so they made this song instead. There are probably many Norwegians who sincerely think it is a real tribute - I myself suspect that it is a satirical song that can suit a lot of politicians and NGOs who think highly of themselves. I don't think Jan Egeland is a special talent for peace. It is perhaps more about the fact that Norway has a tradition of standing up as a third party when difficult conflicts have to be handled. Our politicians and bureaucrats like to shine internationally while overlooking human rights violations in Norway.
Thanks for sharing. Seems like a trend worldwide that politicians ignore problems in their respective countries. If we could solve our own issues we would already be well on our way to solve global issues.
First and foremost comedians, and not affraid to offend anyone. But two good, down to earth guys.
Love that!
Great reaction. I'm looking forward to your next Ylvis reaction 🤩
Thanks! One more coming tonight!

We need more people like Jan!

I have read some articles. We need more people like him in this world. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for letting me know. Now I have 2 options. Learn Norwegian or Chinese 😂
@@SaeedReacts. I recommend Chinese, more people speak it 😅
@@Helge_Torp Good thinking 😂

It was on a MODS concert. Not sure who was on stage with them though.
Love this😍
And Vegard really has an amazing voice.
Bård as well.
They are good at almost anything lol
Looking forward to the next one🥰
This was great! More coming this week

Their pronunciation def is an anglofication, the correct way here in Norway is like in Belgium. 😊 And you really should do their song "Intolerant".
Thanks for letting me know! Definitely will explore more. 1 more reaction coming today.
Loved your reaction =)
Thanks so much!

I recorded a reaction to Stonehenge. I need to know why they built it !! 🤣 that video should be coming this week and many more!

Cool reaction :)
Thanks!
Jan as the dutch, you said it.
Thanks for letting me know!

And the pronounciation is the same as dutch, Jan, not the English Yan 👍
Thank you for letting me know! And for the support ❤️
not exactly, its similar, but not exactly the same way you say it
Jonas Gahr Støre is the prime minister of Norway. Jens Stoltenberg is the NATO Secretary General. :)
Top dogs! Thanks for letting me know. Appreciate it.
@@SaeedReacts. You haven't reactes to Ylvis "Lanuge of love"!! You need to!!! :)

Yahn Eh-geh-lan
Is how you'd pronounce it. They pronounce it in an English way in the song 😂
😄😄😄
We pronounce Jan the same as the Dutch. He's just being funny and pronouncing it like an English speaker would.
Ooh! Thanks for letting me know!
Blitz and a bong? Cigarette and a waffle?❤️
Jens and Gahr Støre is/was norwegian primeminister :)
