I read monster over 15 years ago and it was at a time where there was no internet no Google and no TH-cam. And The only picture you had of monster was the one on the front cover. I remember reading the book and visualising how he described things and himself. Now all these years later to be able to sit and listen to him describe all this stuff in detail is amazing, especially as he passed not long after this. Thank you Kev Mac

It was shut down after the victorious Lucasville Prison Riot, the best victory of the 90s. Some authors and writers started writing articles about going to war with prisons and invading prisons once they were paroled. Next thing you know, the paper disappeared.
Monster was one of the greatest literary masterpieces I’ve ever read.

I bought his book in Seattle. I was visiting from Vancouver, Canada. On the way back, I sat and read the book. It was done by the time we got home. It was almost better than a movie.
