Hey Christopher, You can link a note to a reminders have been able to for quite a few years. It’s kind of a hidden feature but it is doable. Just highlight a portion of your note and the a bar of options pops up. Share is one of those options, then select reminders. You can change the title of the reminder and the folder you want to save it to. Hope that helps. Thanks for all the content you put out. I learn so much from you.

14:19 I may have a work around for adding documents - although it is a little cumbersome. If you have iCloud, you can share a document/file. That link can be pasted in to the Links field and it will attach to the reminder and link back to the file. I hope this helps!

17:54 the two things I really are Reminders need a option in the inspector panel to show selected reminder or Today’s reminders in calendar app. And definitely link /auto fill notes from Notes apps to the notes section of Reminders, Calendar and Contacts and have the Notes apps be the reservoir for notes fields of the varying apps. I still find Reminders is a little bit clunky and cumbersome to use. I add Reminders to it, but then I never go back into it since I mainly live in my calendar app but I love the powerfulness of Reminders and the Notes app. I’ll try to incorporate some of your techniques you just showed here, but Apple definitely needs to take a lot of your suggestions and add them to Reminders app. 👍🏾

HI Chris, great video as always. I’m going a little nuts trying to decide between this app and Things 3 (which I already own). Currently Apple Reminders has a bit of an edge because I can at least access it on a browser in Windows, something I occasionally have to use. Also, Things doesn’t give you a unified week view of your tasks, something I find very useful. My question to you is - of the two apps, which is the more stable, which is better for not losing data and those kind of things. I figure that is critical. Thanks!

The sub price for Fantastical was not worth the features, most of which I don’t use. I also found that as Google and Apple integrate features, it becomes hard to pay for them. For example, I tried Fantasical’s scheduling tool, but I already paid for Calendly. Not I cancelled that one because google’s built in works the same way andI already pay for Gsuite.

I wish you could access these features for the phone or through the cloud because i'm not an apple user. :( Trying to organize them... My brain is all over the place.

What is difference between GNU reminders for linux and apple reminders? I think Apple just copy pasted open source code and converted it to run on macOS/iOS native libraries.

Question… can’t find the Routines app you mention. Is there a different one you use now a few months later?

😎This is REALLY good. Thank you for doing this. QUESTION: Do you have a link for your V-Neck shirt from this video by chance? Or what is the brand and where did you get it? Thanks!✌

I downloaded your Bag Checklist shortcut. Looks great except the last function is using Things not Reminders. How can I set this up to create the list in Reminders?

Sorry about that, I uploaded the wrong version. Here is the right one: www.icloud.com/shortcuts/c4ba8cb9772741ffa2929cabb996ffb2

Hi Chris, do you know how to backup or download the data that is stored in the Notes and Reminders iCloud? I just want to store a copy outside iCloud. Thanks !!!

I have a question that I don't see anyone talking about, unless I'm mistaken.
One of the main advantages and reasons why I keep on coming back to Apple Reminders, as opposed to a third party app, is because Apple Reminders are the only reminders that can stay on your lock screen indefinitely, as opposed to moving to the notifications center after an hour.
I would love to be told that I'm wrong and shown how!

I have iOS 17 and the latest version of reminders, but I do not see the list type menu or the sections/Kanban features. Why would that be?

💡*️⃣I use the image feature when I set a reminder to use a coupon. I take a photo of the coupon and then add it to the reminder. Then I can scan the coupon to use it right from my phone!

I loved the video. Which is your ipad? 11 or 12.9?
