I truly love the way your mom make this hot pot! I seen lots of other people recipe, but their aren't as good as your mom recipe. Her recipe is simple and delicious. Please tell her i said "thank you oum srey".
Thanks for all your mom's delicious cooking tutorial. Tell her keep making it. I've tried almost all her recipe. Hugs and kisses to your mom she's too cute!!
your mom is the best! I wish I have a mom that know how to cook alot of food like your mom. love to watch all your cooking video, it is different from others and is entertaining. keep up the good work!
idk why i havent subscribed yet ! im always watching ur vids love your Ma btw ..let her know that she is very well appreciated , her time and effort , much love for that!!
I try to follow you by searching for a video with how to make bengchow...Would you be able to provide me a link ? I just love the way your mom make her food, makes me miss my mom's cooking.
OMG I've been looking for a decent Yao Hon recipe for ages (my grandmother passed away and I never got to get the recipe from her). You guys are awesome!
Didn't know peanuts were in it. Wonder if this is why my sister puts peanut butter in hers. Guess I make mine differently. I'll have to try this one out.
Thank goodness I found you/your mother's channel. I tried watching a different video of a very "urban" Khmer girl making this dish and dould not stand her voice. At ALL! You're a life saver lol. I enjoy listening to you and your mother speak. It makes me miss my grandmother. I'm now a subscriber/supporter!
@AnthonyYochung No problem. I don't like to go by the standard cooking tutorials like everyone else. Mainly because this is part personal and part tutorial. Me and my mom like to crack jokes or laugh about certain things while we're cooking. I upload it for others to enjoy and maybe get something out of it. Most of the recipes I upload are favorites of mines as well. So subscribe and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks. I don't plan on changing the way I make these tutorials. Cambodians can understand what we're talking about but I also say things in English for those who don't know.
Thank you. We have good conversations sometimes and its pretty fun cooking with her. Can't let these recipes die out if you know what I mean. No one else in the family knows how to make them so this is a good way to have something to fall back on.
Those are really easy to make and most Cambodians that I know should know how to make that. Also there's already a lot of videos on youtube for that recipe. Just search fresh spring rolls.
Sometimes we use measuring spoons. I guess it all depends on how much you make. A large batch like this I'm sure a little extra won't hurt. But I'm glad it helped :).
Your mom looks young and sweet! btw how do you make spring rolls (with water rice paper) every time i try to buy them they sold out......and i want to make them myself can you make a video????..
Looks like om srey is the next food network star! Also are those girls yours or your nieces? Melts my heart to see your mom kiss Jordan I believe. I have three blasian daughters of my own and know very well how unaccepting strangers and even close family can be. Even my own grandmother didn't come to my wedding. But to see the love around your kitchen table is awesome. My mom loves my daughters even more then her own! But I wouldn't have it any other way. Tell Om srey she's doing fantastic
@thinmintcookie Your welcome! I told my mom that you said thanks. She was very happy. She was talking about how she didn't want me to record her anymore but after the responses that everyones been giving she wants me to record other recipes. We're going to have a few more desert/pastry type of recipes and I want to record her making kawh ko (cambodian sausage).
woah I've never heard of beer being added! And excuse the original comment.. I must have been half asleep because I sounded like I just arrived from the motherland haha
@somexgewdiies Thanks! Yeah, I wouldn't upload anything that I knew wasn't good. And I consider this very good and she went all out making the paste from scratch. So when you give it a try let me know how it turned out. I'll let her know and I'm sure she'll be happy to hear reviews.
Shes waiting for some vegetables to grow in the backyard and then she'll make it. So give us about a month or two. I'll message you when it is up though.
So happy to see a recipe made from scratch! Exactly what I have been looking for, thank you so much!!!

They can be hard to find. We grown them in our backyard. Luckily you can buy them online. But try any asian or indian markets.
You speak Khmer with English remind me a lot of my cousin.
This is a great recipe. Give it a try and let me know how you like it. Thanks for watching.

My mom said that shes from somewhere near Siem Reap area.
FYI paprika is not spicy one bit. LolIt's just for the flavor and to add some color to the soup.
Yao hon!
Can we use the soup base for dipping sauce?
richard seymore You can. But everything would already be covered in the soup base.
Your welcome, enjoy!
Shes waiting for some vegetables to grow in the backyard and then she'll make it. So give us about a month or two. I'll message you when it is up though.
@AnthonyYochung I'm sure you'll surprise him the next time you cook!
Lol @"why the pot so pretty" ....
Yeah my mom uses beer in hers lol
Do not speak a word (saey) to your mother because when we hear it a bit rude to your mom. Should instead with a word (Bat)
Is it possible to put a spring roll in another spring roll in a chickens butt and deep fry
