Moong dal idli recipe in tamil/Green gram idli & Channa dal chutney/Healthy Protein rich breakfast
(makes 8- 9 idlies)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup moong dal
1/4 cup urad dhal- wash and soak for 5-6 hours
Add little water and salt, then grind it into a thick paste and let it ferment for 8 hours /overnight
Now fill the idly molds with the fermented batter and
Steam cook the idlies for about 5 -10 min.

Please! Display the recipe in English so that even others can understand and enjoy and try the recipes, as now I didn't understand for how long to soak the dals and how long to fermented etc....if we've to make it well have to understand it!!

It is not high protein food, dal has more carbohydrates than protein.
Interesting,,, are you a nutritionist…?. I just searched it up in google and realized that it has more carb than protein,,, thanks for shedding light on this…all these years I was thinking it has more protein than carb 🥺🥺
