You should leave a small gap in the sealant when fitting a fixed non opening window. Stops the window cracking in heat

Do you mean a gap in the bead of glue itself or between the bodywork and the window ?

From what ive read the gap is only for dummy windows (not cutting the panel out), if the panel has been cut out the hot air can escape into the van so no pressure can build up causing it to crack 😊
