You have to marvel at how great this team was by doing the three peat when all wrote them off ? Hodges goal was amazing and Langford dribbling through a masterful goal. WE have had Kennedys Commandos , Jeans Regiment and Now Clarkson's Classics !
Rioli's tackle wasn't a goal BUT it was masterful, I still remember him going to ground, popping up and racing after Mark Hutchings. I was thinking " Don't bother Cyril, he's too far away" But I'll be damned if he didn't run him down! I was completely stunned. What an effort, and it ONLY shows as a tackle/illegal disposal, it was so much more.
Ahhh came back here in 2024 after hawks lost in the 2nd round of finals after we started 0-5 I was extremely proud but devastated when we lost obviously but I miss these days so I came back to memories I’m keen to see hawks play finals again
😭😭😭😭😭Take me back to 2013, such good times.Went to the 2012 GF so shaterred, then went again to The first of three, beating the Swans was pure ecstasy.
Hodge banana from the boundary...fucking incredible...and the fist pump afterwards to the crowd! As a supporter makes the hairs stand up on the back of the neck every time I watch it
Peter Crimmins and Peter Knights, I thank YOU both, YOU are the reason I have followed and supported this great club for so long. So much Joy! Thank YOU!!!
I was lucky enough to witness number 1 in person. Hodge was kicking almost directly at me. I thought 'well that's not going in' and then 'fuck me, he's kicked it - how the hell did he do that?'
The Hodge Goal a real Captains Goal and Will Langford with the dribble against The Swans was the goal of that match. To have had this in my lifetime is a thrill. In 2019 I hope we return to the top and take it all again.
Hey Michael it was such a wonderful team 13 14 15 but lets not forget the 80s! I was 8 years old at the 83 grandfinal my first and the memories i have as a young boy watching in my opinion the greatest team ever(80s) is locked in my heart! Champions on every line backline Ayres, Langford, mew! Midfield platten, dipper, Morrissey ,Pritchard who lives next door to me, condon! Forwards dermi, dunstall, hall! These are all champions! And they won 88 89 and in 90 they got bad injuries in the last 2 games of the season that cost them that year as they beat the premiers of that year(Collingwood) by 90 points in rd 20 just before the injuries hit! Then won 91! If they didn't get all those injuries to 4 champions in the last 2 games they would of won 4 in a row no doubt!! But 83 86 88 89 91 was the greatest team in history!! Then we come to 08 13 14 15 which was a masterful display! But a much more even team but not as many champions! Yes hodge ,Mitchell ,rioli ,buddy but the rest really great players! They should of won 12 and could easily of made 11 as well but not as good as 80s team in my opinion!! My favorite memories of 13 14 15 are when hodgy kissed buddy! I always said buddy left Melbourne but not hawthorn! This year will be tuff without Mitchell i think they will make the 8 but wont win the cup! That will be in 2020!!
I grew up with the classic years the great Knights through to Dermott and co and then the dry spell and I was one of those who thought Clarkson who the hell is he ? Only to see hell he is a football magician. I think this year we will stun many .@@baddazzgarage2953
@@michaelmarshall1713 if wingard can step up and scully can get on the park it could be a good year but without Mitchell thats 900 possessions we loose for the year! Thats alot to cover! Of course clarko is a master and anything could happen but i dont see it without Mitchell! I hope im wrong! We really need birchall to as we lost a key back burton to replace and birch is injured still from last year! And wingard has a calf so he wont start the season either! Maybe rd 3 or 4 till we see him!! I hope your right mate keep in touch during the season!!!👍
Bruce "He can feel that cup in his hands I reckon." So so true. One of the most dominant displays of a single qtr annihilation a Grand Final had seen to that point. Since? Richmond vs GWS last year was an example of one club not fully understanding the gravity of the occasion and delivering the most putrid brand of fearful footy seen. I hope everyone kicks the crap out of GWS this year and relegates them to history as a 'never was' footnote. Grand Finals are something you need to turn up to and put your best foot forward.
It is strange looking back at this from 2022. Bruce and Denis sound like they are at the game commentating unlike BT and JB who sound like they are down at the pub.
Looking back from 2022 it seems strange to be listening to Bruce and Denis who sound like they are at the game rather than down at the pub like BT and JB are now.
Nah 2012 made us win the 3 peat if we had won in 2012 that may have been our only flag but because we lost in 2012 it hurt that bad it made the hawks win 3 in a row, as for 2016 that was the beginning of the end for us we were out of legs we won alot of games by just under goal even got smashed by the giants by 75 points that year even if we beat Geelong if smith kicked that goal after the siren we probably would of lost to the dogs in the grand final just like in the semi final no team was gonna beat the Weston bulldogs they were on fire during the 2016 finals series.
#1 and #7 for me and I don’t think hawthorn will win a flag for a while now no offence anyone but they were poor against Melbourne in the Marsh the other night
You have to marvel at how great this team was by doing the three peat when all wrote them off ? Hodges goal was amazing and Langford dribbling through a masterful goal. WE have had Kennedys Commandos , Jeans Regiment and Now Clarkson's Classics !
the best team ever :)
rocky medici true

They showed it because it led to the goal. Otherwise the west coast player would have ran on and set up a goal.
3:05 Isaac Smith's one for the ages

Go Hawks I play Afl and my teams top of the ladder
Isaac smith high fives west coast bloke at 2:29

Wonderful video HFC, love it !!
Peter Crimmins and Peter Knights, I thank YOU both, YOU are the reason I have followed and supported this great club for so long. So much Joy! Thank YOU!!!
Would someone be kind enough to upload a full replay of the 2008 Gand Final? I need to relive the moment.
cheers
3:37 It’s one for the ages!
WillingPlays -roblox love 4th at goal 😍
“That’s a goal I think.”
I was lucky enough to witness number 1 in person. Hodge was kicking almost directly at me. I thought 'well that's not going in' and then 'fuck me, he's kicked it - how the hell did he do that?'
Was there for every single one of these awesome goals and just makes me even more excited to see the boys play this weekend!!!
I only would swap 1&2 coz I think Langford's goal is the best I have ever seen.. EVER!!
Whilst good Hodge just booted it and it want through and brought the house down and crushed The Eagles right then. Will did a masterful goal as well.
Watching this in 2020 and missing Dennis's dulcet tones. He really was the best.
I wish hawks were still great like this
Smith Brownlow for 3 peat what a great player
What a team
,another great season darn the hawks
HODGEY FROM THE BOUNDARY!
hawks are the best so were going to win four in arow soon
Jamie Clayton hopefully

Well we were not meant to win three in a row and we did . So I believe these guys have something others don't .@@baddazzgarage2953
The Hodge one step and boom was the deal breaker. Three in a row is an amazing feat .
Goats 💪
We want four!!
Stephen Ireland huuhhhhh if only
Love hawthorn

How the hell did Langford kick it 😜
wheres one of cyrils 2 goals against west coast?
It is strange looking back at this from 2022. Bruce and Denis sound like they are at the game commentating unlike BT and JB who sound like they are down at the pub.
go the hawkys
hodgies goal was the all time classic
smith's goal was probably the most important of the 3, even though gunston kicked 5 that day.
He kicked 4
Looking back from 2022 it seems strange to be listening to Bruce and Denis who sound like they are at the game rather than down at the pub like BT and JB are now.
ow yere were the best
UP THE HAWKS!
“He’s kicked it from nowhere.”
What music was this?
the streets will never forget Will Langford
Can you make a top 10 epic adventures from the three peat? e.g. that craaaaazy time you told a player to abort a baby. That was epic.
Just realised 🤔 no Cyril or Buddy goals
dont you love them
It could've been a 5 peet if we won 2012 and Isaac smith didn't miss in 2016

A good one would have been the one this year play8ng Essendon he ditched all the players I forgot his name tho
cant wait till we pick up a really good draft pick coz we aint doing that good this year...
i like bruest and ciril
Wait,just wait
Gunstons break out year in 2013, 4 goals in a close game, could have won the Normie.
Isaac smith high fives a weagles supporter
Burgoyne stiff not to make the top 10 after his goal versus Geelong in the 2013 PF
"Watch the top 10 goals from our three *Grand Final* wins"
#1 and #7 for me and I don’t think hawthorn will win a flag for a while now no offence anyone but they were poor against Melbourne in the Marsh the other night
