It took me about 2 months of living in Madrid to realise that you have to speak quickly, Spanish is a fast langauge. Its such a friendly city and the people are really warm. You just have to get into the flow. If you like New York you'd love it, if you dont like New York you won't feel too comfortable.

If you would pick as a teacher to go to Portugal or Spain, what would it be? Spain is what I've recenrly been leaning towards. My wife has a masters in teaching k-12.

It is so odd to hear that Madrid scarred someone, Spaniards are the nicest people, especially in Madrid...💓While travelling in Americas I have heard others complaining of people in Spain being too direct thus considered rude. I believe it is just a cultural difference which one learns to appreciate in the end. I've spent months in South America where people would be suuuuper sweet and nice until the moment you are out. Then they trash you :D I'd rather Spanish honesty :D

I must say I was surprised myself! In any case, everyone has their own experience and the city now has moved forward significantly since Josh was there 😁
