Must that be paid 100% with own capital, because I read elsewhere that as non-resident you can obtain a mortgage for buying properties where you only need 30% own money of that 730k amount. Interesting. I have not heard of certified recognized translators. I had my English documents translated by professionals in Michigan. My documents were accepted by the consulate of Spain in Chicago. They were apostile sealed and current dated.

Interesting video as always, one clarification. She mentioned the translation does not expire, does that mean that even if the document was apostilled a while ago, the translated document of it is still valid for other processes after the apostilled expiry?

14:03 it was very hard in the past but once they introduced electronic identification everything became easier. for instance if you got a NIE then you have access to most institutions with your electronic certificate and once you get that then you can generate all sorts of documents, even social security numbers and documents that allow you to get social security. all through a couple of websites. The biggest problems is foreigners that have just arrived don't have all that info, that's why it's very important to have connections with expats that have lived in here for a while or native Spanish people.

definitely the worst thing about this country is all the red tape around starting a new business and the high rate of failure. I heard it is really easy to start a business in the UK and if you fail it won't ruin you financially.

I live down by Gibraltar, and I think there is a reason why the roads are so good for driving, in comparison to the UK, there are so few cars. In the UK everything is continually being extended, widened, improved... I have only been in Spain for 4 months, but I have not seen one single road work on the motorway / dual carriage ways! It has just over one 3rd of the population density compared to the UK.

Taxes are very neccesary to have good public transportation, good public health system, good public universities , good roads and education and so on. A society who cares of their people is an advanced society. USA, UK and other models are only for rich people. Their elders ,after working their whole life can't live in their countries with their pension . They should think why, and what economical model have, with millions of homeless , and so on. I am surprised with how many people you find living in the streets, in the train stations, and so on. That's the ugly side of capitalism: poverty and misery, phisical and moral.

But: caldo de berzas, cocido madrileño, cocido maragatos, callos con/sin garbanzos, fabada asturiana, cocido montañés, sopas, purés, botillos, cachelos, pulpo (a la gallega, guisado), cordero/lechal, chorizo leonés, morcilla de burgos, pan y empanadas gallegas, mariscos varios, chuletones, guisos/asados de todo tipo de carne, pisto, arroces, ensaladas , pimientos asados, pescados: fritos, guisados, al horno, etc, wines, beers, sidras, finos, jerez OMGaawwwwd! You don't mention that spain is still an extremely fascist country and no respecter of democracy. You do not mention that spain refuses to permit the use of Catalan and Basque freely. I think the reason that the UK and the USA and other British ethnic places like Australia and so on move out so early because they are protestant. There is no reason to rush out and touch the sun or become a star in outer space. The sense of family in Spain is strong. Consequently, the love of neighbor is uniquely high. Ensuring that everyone is cared for is where the high tax comes in to make sure that all neighbors are provided for With the introduction of neighboring protestant European communities comes the weakening of that unique Spanish culture of love of neighbor. So it’s easy to pick out the foreigners who are protestant because the protestant elements focus on being served; whereas, the Spanish seek to ensure the well-being and welfare of every Spanish person .

Spain is nice to go on holidays. I moved to the UK in 2019. Life is better for me here. I have a good job and a better wage. Spain has a mentality problem, common to all the Latin countries. It's very tiring. I might come back when I retire, but I'm not sure.
