Here's my take, which I hope helps people. My new KQi 300X easily climbs a 1 in 4 hill that defeated my KQi 3 Pro. The twist throttle doesn't seem as smooth as the thumb lever throttle, but I understand that this was the part that broke the most on the older model. The hydraulics on the front don't seem to make much difference and trust me, the roads where I live are terrible (Portugal). I have this weird situation where the e-scooter suddenly decelerates on a downward hill though. I put it down to the latest firmware, which I've heard is a bit buggy. The ability to stop battery charging at 80% is a great addition, because lithium batteries last longer that way. I'm still doubtful about the quality of the after-sales service in Europe though. I had to email the global team almost daily to get them to do something. Hopefully, you won't have any problems with your new NIU.The overall build quality is as good as the previous model I bought.

The deceleration could be the regen braking. Disable it and see if it happens again. I find the front suspension doesn't do much either. Maybe I need to ride it more to break it in. I am heavy so I thought being heavy may cause it to kick in more. Being light makes suspension less useful.
Just bought the 300x. Im trying to charge the scooter with the battery level of 52%. The battery keeps dropping while charging. I wonder why is that. Any advice?
I have about 400 miles on my 300x. It is a very well built, solid feeling scooter that has given me nothing but successful rides. My only gripe is the speed: NIU needs to get into the 30 mph or faster ranges for their kick scooters. The 23 mph on the 300x and the Max are too slow for me...
The Kqi300x scooter has good performance, but it has some minor drawbacks. I think its top speed of 24 mph is sufficient, but the company should consider making a higher-speed model with improved suspension

is it a good scooter? cause it ordered one and should be shipped last April early on that month but still they didn't send it yet, looks like they fixing a lot of problems before they send it, seems shady about the scooter quality.
Not a bad e-scooter comparing to KQi3max, it's better with several updates and some issues, but they're working on them. The long waiting time could be due to high demand .
I got 15 miles in mixed trip , including flat and hilly terrain, and dirt roads in sport mode, mostly at high speeds of 23/24 mph , in another range test, all on flat roads, I got 17 miles, but keep in mind that battery range varies depending on your weight and riding location
@@Del-CanadaNo, it's not just the U.S. I'm in Portugal and the after-sales is an absolute nightmare. Once they have your money for the e-scooter it seems they don't give a toss about the customer.
@@DragosCatargiuyes I did In this video, I explained how the Niu app functions. Customizing your ride allows you to choose between maxing your speed or lowering it in different modes, but sadly, reducing the speed doesn't actually change it.
@@DragosCatargiu The speed is not locked to be unlocked in my country. Perhaps the unlocking speed feature is for other regions. The top speed here is 24 mph, and I can reach that speed.
There was an ota update a few days ago fixed a lot of issues, and now has 5 different riding speeds, chill mode is fantastic for sidewalk, or just a nice casual ride
I would have to say that the acceleration takes some getting used to if you've previously ridden a KQi3 series with the gentle thumb throttle. They have tried to address the issue with a firmware change which introduces "Chill" mode for the acceleration. If you use anything than this you're risking whiplash as you pull away, trust me!
I just got mine it’s missing the holes on the middle two screws. So I only have four screws Lmaoo. Imma exchange it. I don’t think it will affect the riding experience but the extra holes I feel hold the bar tighter
Sorry to hear that 4 screws are not enough to hold the bars, causing them to loosen, but you can still ride it temporarily . returning it is the best option .

Seems to be a US thing. NiU Canada is great. US Amazon is terrible, but Canada Amazon is also great. Must be a cultural thing.

Yes It is possible there are different modes .

Is it better when it's in chill mode when riding on sidewalks?
@@DJE101 I test-rode all modes, but throttle issues occurred. Not sure if it's fixed .
