+Chantelle Adlington Freddie has never and can never be replaced. The guest singer, as they're called, is never a part of Queen. It's always Queen + the singer's name. Now for instance it's Queen + Adam Lambert, and before that it was Queen + Paul Rodgers. You can always argue whether it's right or wrong to still go under the name of Queen since, let's face it, Freddie was Queen. In a way I think it's great to keep the name active so that many young listeners gets a chance to familiarize themselves with Queen and Freddie and carry on his spirit and legacy.

In 2020, my family lost my father to COVID. He was my best friend, my biggest supporter- he was the best father one could have ever dreamed of having. Every time I hear this song and listen with my mother, we both just lose it. This song is like a complete ode to the life of my incredible father.
titou m I know it’s already 1 year ago when you wrote it. But I‘m really sorry for you! It must be terrible, stay strong. He is in heaven with Freddie Mercury❤️
I like living in this generation, with all the technological advances and what not, but one thing that I have to say is that concerts back in the 60's-90's were so much more soulful and exciting. Here you can truly see and feel the crowd enjoying what was presented to them. Quite a lot of the concerts that are on today are very good in their own right and there's still a lot of very talented performers out there but so far no one's been as passionate and energetic as Freddie Mercury was, or Queen for that matter. There's still some great music that's being produced but I feel that as a whole bands and signers just cared more back then, it's mostly the case now where people have their songs written for them and they just pretty up and dance on stage and then they collect the pay cheque. I really hope that someday I can see someone put in as much passion as Queen did and truly immerse themselves in what they love doing: singing and playing music.
My son would play this song every night ❤ my son died last year had dmd was nearly 18 god bless and sending love to all the parents who have lost a child xx
I love this song and that it was written for Mary Austin. He was in love with her however sexually he was never going to feel satisfied with her because she was a woman hence why the secret love affairs with men started. (Although his friends did say that they did make love when they was a couple ) He was emotionally connected with her and she was the love of his life but he was bisexual and sexually, freddie was not satisfied by women so he was really homosexual though he never felt like discussing it. But you know sometimes the heart doesn’t really see whether you’re a girl or a boy which was clearly Mary and Freddie’s situation. He found a good relationship at the end of his life and he loved his boyfriend however it was never going to be like with Mary because he was in love with her. He knew he couldn’t give her the life she deserved, faithfulness, a family etc so he let her go which is a very beautiful and tragic love story in the end. Because you could notice whenever she talks about him and he about her or when they were together that freddie still wanted her in some level, a more deep level but they couldn’t have each other like they wanted. The best proof of love is letting go and not being selfish and put the other first. Which they did. So in the end it didn’t matter if physically they weren’t together. Like freddie said it was like a marriage. To him, She was his wife. They were together in a much deeper way which is very beautiful.
Freddie wasn't gay. I wish people wouldn't bi erase him like they do. He had other female lovers after Mary, German actress Barbara Valentin for example in 1984/85 time.
I was at Manchester (Maine road stadium) and Knebworth, on this tour (Magic tour). Couldn't get a ticket for Wembley because they sold out 2 nights in a matter of a couple of hours. This is 1986, no internet remember. That would have been 3 gigs on the same tour. They were magical magical moments that i will take to my grave.
I know that Bohemian Rhapsody is a masterpiece but this song of Queen is my favorite. Every freaking time tears come streaming down my face. All of them were terrific musicians but he was just once in a lifetime singer/performer. You are terribly missed Freddie.
I was there with my two pals, we were only 17 years old, we ended up blagging our way in, we were somewhere in the middle, Freddie’s voice echoed around the whole stadium, I’ll never forget that day, I still get shivers down my spine when I think about it, sadly my two best friends are no longer with us ☹️, I will keep their memories and the memories of this day with me forever ❤️
Freddie what instrument you play?
Freddie: the crowd.
Absolutely! He pwned the crowd at will and we gladly obeyed! : )

In 2020, my family lost my father to COVID. He was my best friend, my biggest supporter- he was the best father one could have ever dreamed of having. Every time I hear this song and listen with my mother, we both just lose it. This song is like a complete ode to the life of my incredible father.
That crowd participation is breathtaking
This is the biggest choir on earth

titou m I know it’s already 1 year ago when you wrote it. But I‘m really sorry for you! It must be terrible, stay strong. He is in heaven with Freddie Mercury❤️
He's listening to Freddie there in heaven bro.
Amazing piece. It overwhelms my heart everytime I listen to.
My son would play this song every night ❤ my son died last year had dmd was nearly 18 god bless and sending love to all the parents who have lost a child xx
The Most Beautiful Song Ever for Special
They were together in a much deeper way which is very beautiful.
he never got the chance to grow old with her...so sad
Such a beautiful comment thanks.
Freddie wasn't gay. I wish people wouldn't bi erase him like they do. He had other female lovers after Mary, German actress Barbara Valentin for example in 1984/85 time.
Charlie Orrell he was bisexual I know. That comment was written 2 years ago
@@michaelfaragher5324 haha gay
when I heard this for the first time I realised that talent is unmeasurable
Ohh man I'm addicted to this song
Freddie : that's why I wrote this song darling
Anyone else having crying sessions while listening to Queen?
I was at Manchester (Maine road stadium) and Knebworth, on this tour (Magic tour). Couldn't get a ticket for Wembley because they sold out 2 nights in a matter of a couple of hours. This is 1986, no internet remember. That would have been 3 gigs on the same tour. They were magical magical moments that i will take to my grave.
the greatest voice that the world of the music has had
Who are these 891 people who downvotes this? Can they not hear his voice, his emotion? He is everything.
I know that Bohemian Rhapsody is a masterpiece but this song of Queen is my favorite. Every freaking time tears come streaming down my face. All of them were terrific musicians but he was just once in a lifetime singer/performer. You are terribly missed Freddie.
The most beautiful moment in music history.
YOU ARE LOVE OF MY LIFE, FREDDIE.
How many generation will we have to wait to have someone like Freddy? Talent, empathy, charisma, honesty, a real artist.
Literal chills when the crowd sings, he’s so happy about it too.
