Might be a weird take but IX has always seemed like the one survival map bo4 got. I think it’s the least complex, it’s quite small, and it’s the one I always run when leveling up guns.
I agree with this take, i don't have classified and on, but of botd and earlier its the most enjoyable map of BO4 zombies and the easiest. Its brightly lit and has lots of open space, which is important in the games where movement is the key to survival. Most of the other maps either have narrow corridors as 99% of the map, or really painful special zombies (nosferatu suck).
I was just playing this last night for a round 50 easter egg run, was refreshing to be in the coliseum again! Imo the Easter egg is actually one of the easier ones from BO4
Tip for the golden vase: to get it you need to survive 1 full round with your crown affinity being fully green however if you get a gift from the crowd it slightly goes down so to combat it you need to stay away from spawn so that they cannot throw you an item and therefore ruin your affinity run Edit: apparently this doesn’t happen to anyone else so maybe it’s just a bug on my version I’m not sure? Only play solo so it’s not like I’m picking anyone else’s up. Like I said the second it says “gift available” it goes down ever so slightly breaking the streak so I have to go underground for a full round so they can’t throw a gift
Not entirely true. You don‘t loose affinity if you pick it up but while there‘s a text on screen to get a gift the thumb won‘t change whatever you do but it will still count as losing affinity if you walk over fire or go down, you just don‘t see it.
Tips for players) 1) For the wonder weapon, the statue head is in the same spot for each tower, knowing this you wont have to look at the flaming arrow after shooting the pot. Also pick up the spile from the acid trap to get the golden pot. :) 2) The Hellion Salvo works for getting negative affinity. You quite literally shoot rockets at the crowd to lower affinity. 3) Tigers are also a way to lower affinity. Its a little tricky, but have the tiger do its own jank AI trolling, and then let it attack you while your back is turned. It doesnt lower it a lot, but the crowd does boo you when you let the tiger attack. 4) For the Ra step, the Blightfather is always randomized on the SECOND set of four symbols, there isnt a need to worry about it until the first set is done. 5) For the step in the arena with the gladiators, it isnt infinite specialist. The timer is the normal timer, but it charges with every kill you get making it feel like infinite specialist. @@unleashed3116 Hellion Salvo Fire bomb is hit or miss. The best i can say for strictly Hellion on that particular step is to get lucky. But if you want to keep the Hellion, run Mule Kick, and put the third weapon with the fire bomb in that slot. Or dont run it, but get fire bomb on the free upgraded strife and then go for the Hellion out of the box. The best thing to do is to practice training down there and align the train with the roots once they start to smoke green, usually at the beginning of the round the AAT activation resets, its best to try this at the beginning of the round Hopefully this helps
Thanks for the tips. Do you have any tricks or even glitches to avoid having to wait for so many rounds to pass for certain steps (e.g. early gladiator spawn for wood)? Also, when do you choose to lower your affinity for the poop? I know some suggest to do it after the golden jar (if you get that), but I'm trying to route when to get max affinity for fire sales.
@@Obveeus in terms of the gladiator, theres no way to make it go faster by an early round. I have tried it with the champion that spawns in for pack. As for some poop tricks, go for the free wonder weapon first. If you can get ot out of the box prior to that, then dont worry about it. But the reason for this is simply because it is very easy to go positive in the early rounds. You should be able to get it by round 8 at least. Something someone taught me is that you can do the quest, but hold off on getting the weapon since you cant do anything until the charcoal is created. In terms on the fastest poop, Hellion Salvo can help, so can the packed welling (if you wanted to). The easiest strat for that is to have acid bombs. A total of five does it instantly. Throw three into the crowd (doesnt matter which side), use equip mint, then throw the last two. Hopefully these helped

I wish you could get the poop before doing the PaP challenges, since you can get negative affinity in 1 round but getting back up to max positive takes multiple rounds (as far as I can tell). I'm starting to think I want mule kick because I'd like to be setup (Salvo, WW, & monkeys) before the Danu challenge, but as you previously said the salvo isn't great for the firebomb step. Plus it would make hitting the box faster for monkeys if I have my guns. I use Phd, Timeslip, Dying Wish, and Mod Winter's Wail.

I reckon of the 7 BO4 maps (not including Classified) IX is on the easier side of the Easter eggs. Would say that Voyage, blood and ancient evil are harder than IX, Maybe even Tag. Either way love the vid as always
Blood is harder than IX but I don't think Voyage and Ancient evil are harder. The only argument I think one can make is that they have harder boss fights but outside of that the steps themselves are relatively easy. Still im just speaking from my experience I have never had a hard time beating Voyage or Ancient Evil and even Tag though I've only played Tag a few times and after i beat it the second time i never found myself wanting to play that map again
@@Lycan4647 In my experience Voyage is harder than IX just because of the map layout and the planet step on Voyage. Trying to pick up the blue orb when a lot of zombies are surrounding it is always scary, especially if you have to do it five times.
Good memories from this map doing the Easter egg and staying up til 1AM on a school night to do it. Another great memory was getting to the boss fight, triggering Dying Wish then getting sent in the air by the elephant then dying
Damn always considered this to be an easy one 😅 the hardest is either gorod or blood. If GK never had the trophy steps I think it would be one of the best Easter eggs.
For me the one that kills it for gorod is the valve step. Not exactly the most fun to be running around for both the Green and Pink valves and then having to running around some more inputting the correct numbers for each valve.
In defense of the valve step, you can actually do it without the solver, the goal is to get air flowing, indicated by the blue light. It's a stupid step regardless though, and I've used the solver everytime except for once.
I really wouldn't call IX the "hardest" Easter Egg, if anything it was the easiest and one of the most fun. I'm not an Easter Egg guy; I genuinely avoid them unless it's for Maps I really love or I want to the and complete them. IX was an exception. I actively wanted to go for the Egg, and felt like even someone like me; was treated fairly and given a lot of wiggle room.
This was the map that really got me into liking zombies. It's the first cod I played when I got my Xbox, and this map was very simple and easy to learn. Blood of the dead as also super fun, but it was so much harder to learn. But now I know all the bo4 Easter eggs like the back of my hand lol

Doing this Easter egg with 4 people, the BO4 launch technical issues, and being the first Easter egg that the 4 ever tried made us all want to pull our hair out
Highly recommend charging up the ww, makes it one of the top tier weapons if in a stack due to the ability to easily revive with only 1 shot. Also good for crowd control

Fun trick to do when playing IX (or any other map I think not sure) is to kill zombies with the initial explosion of your specialist, do not hit them with the attack ofcourse but only with kill barrier you get when you use it. You get points and the zombies respawn without ending round
This is the first map I’ve ever played (at someone’s new year party) and I got what I now know is the death of Orion first pull and I was at least smart enough to keep it
I never really got into zombies easter eggs until bo4 and unironically my very first solo EE was the IX egg. I've now been desensitised to difficult eggs because apparently the first one I ever did was one of the hardest XD. It's always a blast to come back and do this egg.
Cool idea for a vid Chrrism: you should try and do a 100% run of a map where you do the main Easter egg and all Side Easter as well. I think it’d make a cool speedrun category too. Like something like Zetsubo: need to do main EE, monster in distance Easter egg (need round 50) and need to do spider side Easter egg, music Easter egg etc..
My friend and I did the easter egg for this in like 47 minutes back when people played BO4. That was the last time I played zombies with him, and we had played zombies with eachother since literally 5th grade. Cold War never got the boys back into zombies sadly. I miss the old days where I'd come home from middle school, grab the home phone and call my friends since I didnt have a mic, and then hop on and play some Origins or Mob or something. Actually, without that friend I nevee would have played a DLC map from WAW/ BO2. Ps3 game sharing was great lol
Miss complex Easter eggs ngl, I feel bo4 main quests with the Cold War gameplay and the creativity of bo3 maps, would be a great blend for a zombies game.
Completed this for first the time a couple days ago, I’ve staid away from most Bo4 Easter eggs as the game (although overly hated) is very challenging and at times obnoxious. This Easter egg is fun tho and the boss fight is really cool and really feels like a battle. Only thing I don’t like is the amount of rounds you have to burn during the Easter egg and that boss rounds don’t count towards the rounds you need to get through on Easter egg, also the fact you pretty much need the helion salvo due to how many bosses spawn and the death of Orion is pretty terrible imo. Other than that, the atmosphere, time period and Easter egg is really good. If it was on bo3 it would be top 3 no doubt
The Ra step failed last time for me. Basically, the light never shined and pressing F didn't do anything. Now, my game has been more shit and I can't even play normally. The game sometimes doesn't work. Either it boots up and crashes or I try to go into a map then it crashes. I've reinstalled it already but still happens. IDK what more to do. I'm desperate now :(( You got any ideas maybe? My PC is good enough. It did work fine before and it's not like it's a CPU/memory error it just randomly stopped working. When I reinstalled it, it worked fine for one day after that it stopped working again. Nice video btw, I don't get why you only have 51.4K subs you deserve so much more!

I’ve always wondered how do people figure out Easter eggs? There are so many small details you have to do that I realistically think no one should think of. Such as shooting that random pot that was on fire in the back. Do devs release step by step instructions for people? Or do people just spend forever on a map doing random things until something happens?
good build, only thing I'd pick out is the motherboard. the problem isn't really the hardware though, it's more the company itself has notoriously bad customer service from what I've heard
I don't know about XI's EE being the hardest EE but I found BOTD's EE way harder than XI's literally completed XI's pretty decently but fucking BOTD's made me and friend dead inside, still not even completed it to this day. If I was to complete it i think all my problems in life wouldn't be around, that's how bad it was man. good vid overall
Oh forgot to mention on the zetsubou video. To get the glowing green vial from the zombie, you just have to be in the lab b area, it's not round based. I mean i guess it's possible that you can't get it on round 1 or 2 idk but I've definitely gotten it on round 3 before.

I do this egg everyday just for the free door reward. it works on all maps but Alpha Omega and Tag. Even works on Gauntlets which is pretty broken

This was my very first Easter egg completion and it felt so satisfying.
The Ra step failed last time for me. Basically, the light never shined and pressing F didn't do anything. Now, my game has been more shit and I can't even play normally. The game sometimes doesn't work. Either it boots up and crashes or I try to go into a map then it crashes. I've reinstalled it already but still happens. IDK what more to do. I'm desperate now :(( You got any ideas maybe? My PC is good enough. It did work fine before and it's not like it's a CPU/memory error it just randomly stopped working. When I reinstalled it, it worked fine for one day after that it stopped working again.

I’ve always wondered how do people figure out Easter eggs? There are so many small details you have to do that I realistically think no one should think of. Such as shooting that random pot that was on fire in the back. Do devs release step by step instructions for people? Or do people just spend forever on a map doing random things until something happens?

good build, only thing I'd pick out is the motherboard. the problem isn't really the hardware though, it's more the company itself has notoriously bad customer service from what I've heard
Went for all four Chaos EEs last weekend, only one I actually beat was IX lmao
I don't know about XI's EE being the hardest EE but I found BOTD's EE way harder than XI's literally completed XI's pretty decently but fucking BOTD's made me and friend dead inside, still not even completed it to this day. If I was to complete it i think all my problems in life wouldn't be around, that's how bad it was man. good vid overall

Oh forgot to mention on the zetsubou video. To get the glowing green vial from the zombie, you just have to be in the lab b area, it's not round based. I mean i guess it's possible that you can't get it on round 1 or 2 idk but I've definitely gotten it on round 3 before.
