- Skoda kushaq problems is what we are going to discuss today and since it's launch Skoda has suffered a lot of complaints and this has not changed much today but is it true that it comes with a lot of problems and these problems are major ones and it could hinder the ownership experience if you are planning to purchase this car?
I drive the Skoda kushaq 1.0 l TSI manual transmission also the all new 1.5 litre TSI dsg gearbox to tell you all about the car this includes the drive performance overall handling balance and the ride quality in rough terrains.
Volkswagen taigun is the other option that you have and this car also is built on the same platform so in terms of safety this car performs really well like other Skoda and Volkswagen cars and in terms of minor accidents Kushaq will keep you safe.
Skoda kushaq is finally here and this is one of the most anticipated cars from the Volkswagen group with the new platform specification for India a lot of things can change for Volkswagen and Skoda in India.

Hi @@yashdesai814 what is your Highways mileage? I have recently bought it but I feel the engine performance is little underpowered and feeling the lag so much. Does it gets improved over the time?
driving this car from last 3 month. Best for safety but not for driving pleasure. I went to hill station and this car doesn't perform like a diesel car. Ac is not so good. In 40 degree temperature your car will be cool in 20 minutes. I think Swift is so much quicker in overtaking and hill climbing
Do you have 1.0 or 1.5 is the issue same in taigun as well.

How do you feel the difference in build quality without simulating. Any structure car or building unless tested against the forces cannot be judged. You cannot take the criteria of weight, since the YST, steel composition, section design , Body design & join is more important.
Being the safest car of India, I firmly believe you being ultra strict here.
@21:23 Hay Bro,I was working with Thayssenkrupp And this changing whole assembly viz ABC tottaly is German Policy.They are not belive to change only problematic part as we do as Indian Jugaad system. They are inclinde to change whole Imdependent assemby as per their Manual.Obviously we Indian feel so sad that we have to burdone on our Pocket
GNCAP can't be considered as a sole reason for a safe car. None of the NCAPs can provide real life conditions. One simple thing, They don't test with the engine. Safety is in the hands of each and every driver.
Exactly!! People think that a 5 star crash test rated car will make them death/injury proof and will keep them in one piece out and alive even if they fell from Burj Khalifa!! Gncap conduct these tests at the nominal speed of 64 kmph. Our market sincerely need to understand the limitations of these crash tests.
GNCAP ratings are derived based upon internationally accepted parameters and simulated. So, I guess we can rely on GNCAP verdict. However, as said, it’s individual responsibility to keep themselves safe while at driving seats.
What happens if two families travelling in a car with NCAP 1 and NCAP 5 where both families have a kid sitting in the rear seat get hit by another 4 wheeler sideways or from behind.
If someone says that outcome will be same, it is drivers skill, then good for you.
Pity that people still understand this way about safety. It's like insurance if something terrible happened. No matter how skillfully you are. In driving, we may suffer even for the mistakes of others. So better have a car that is built well. It will reduce the impact on us and save our life.

My dashcam is 70 mai dual camera. It doesn't void warranty as it is plug and play.

It is good if you have a service center at Max within 40 km. You never know with the machines when the need comes.

I get 14-16 average @ 60% city drive and 40% Highway drive.

the engine is very sensitive to your driving style. milage of 1.0 varies from 6kmpl - 24kmpl

when car starts after a long stop for 30 seconds the engine idles at 1300 rpm, that time hand rest vibrates goes off once idling is back to 1000 rpm. this is only in 1.0 L
Bro why sale of kushaq is less?
Less mileage
1. People's choice is still a feature loaded car.
2. Bad experience of after service sales of VW/Skoda earlier generation cars.
However, Skoda/VW are now able to sell 3500/4000 units a month.
Also don't think they have spare manufacturing capacity. The current plants are producing 1.6 lakh units which are sold in India or exported.
the sale is increasing, mileage is not a problem, acceptance is. most of indian customers value mileage, after sale value over performance. also service centres are less but with kushaq/slavia has boosted skoda sales.

Agreed for 1 litre engine and general hot climate it is less. But people who have 1.5 litre engine are okay with the AC performance
After software update - AC is working ok.
AC is very good in my kushaq. No issues at all.
Still Taigun/Kushaq is selling 1/10th of cars sold by Creta and Seltos.
it is because they have ony 1/10th network dealerships compared to kia and hyundai and people ae still not aware about the safety ratings

i paid 100 rs for first service, 0rs for second service
changed prake pads after 35k kms costed 4100 thats all i have spent on it on service in 2 years after driving 37k kms. I got 4yrs service free when i bought it. but one may have to pay some 24k for 4yrs service plan

Mileage not enough
It may be slightly less than its competitors but given the engine and build of this car, it is not disappointing either.

Skoda Kushaq is the wort car, i am an owner of 1.0 model, 40k kms driven. One of the pathetic car on roads, i have listed my car for re selling, no after sale services. Poor components

Petrol engine is my personal preference given the policy shift of government towards petrol and electric. If budget and space permits go for Kushaq but please no offence to XUV 300. XUV 300 is super in terms of performance and built in its segment

Obviously Kushaq 1L - 5*safety for both adult and child occupant, >4mtr, best wheel base, best handling and driving dynamics, boot space much bigger than xuv300, almost at same price
