The best version I've ever heard.God bless Gene Krupa.
"In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" , baby! (in first extended drum solo. ) Gene was great.
No doubt! The very best version EVER!
The best ever
This version of our gene is sensational special with a new twist in ideas and imagination not to take away his musicians back him up in splendid fashion now what we hear is that bolero intro with fresh ideas take note to how gene adds those bass drum accents in just the right places also gene does something in his drumming that stands heads and shoulders above others and this is Dynamics he can go soft soft whisper and then build his crescendo to ultimate percussion excitement Sean thanks for letting is hear this segment of Krupa mastery boom
What a classic drum soldya! Gene Krupa!
Masterpiece !!!!!!!!!
Was a bit shy of six months-old when these sticks were this hot...

Amazing find!!! great innovation and playing!!!!!
Fantastic archive of photographs 😊❤
Absolutely fantastic masterpiece 👏
Non sono in grado di dire se sia stato il migliore di sempre ,però quel che è certo che era un grandissimo e ha sicuramente creato una svolta dando non una ,non due ,ma molte marce in più al suo strumento nonché alla musica stessa quindi grazie Gene
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely fantastic 👏 is this available on cd?
Yes, but it’s a Japanese one and isn’t too easy to get😬
That was in His Prime Time before He became more of a drum Comedian with his exaggerated movements.
?
@@thecrippledrummer okay, U don't know what I mean ?!
you don't know what you're talking about!
there was never any comedy inGene Krupa'sdrumming.that's what we call Showmanship!
@@walterhammond290 okay, showmanship Sometimes Looks comical, too, i saw some Videos of His older days when I found him somewhat hyperactive playing normal swing grooves. No Bad intentions Here,my first drumbook was His German Version of how 2 learn 2 read and play Back in the 60s.
This sounds amazing, did you have the idea of posting this because of my tribute video to Gene, or was this already in development?❤️🧅🍎
No, I daily look up any new “Gene Krupa” posts on TH-cam, and that’s when I watched your video. I upload a new video every 3 days. I have thousands of jazz albums and try to post stuff that features the drummer.
