    Thank you, Patrick! That was some of the best advice I have ever heard. A friend of mine has 20 rentals and told me to dive in and purchase three at once. I played it conservatively and bought one cash and don’t have to deal with the headaches of three. My friends temperament is more aggressive than mine, and he has the experience. I am more conservative, and I am learning one step at a time. Thank you!

      Is it nice having just the one? I went head on and bought two out the gate. Currently snowballing the lower mortgage but don’t know if I just got one would I have gotten second one faster etc. would love to hear your experience!

      @@tomjones6297 I currently live in the home that I bought and paid it off within a couple of months of purchasing it. Initially I planned on being a landlord (like my friend) and continue renting ($1250/mo) and I am so happy that I didn't go that route as the rona had hit as I was searching for a home. I decided to live in my first home and pay it off instead of becoming a landlord.
      I am currently saving to buy another one as a rental but I want to make sure and have more than 50% of the purchase price to immediately get rid of the debt.
      Paying the first one off has given me peace of mind which allows me to focus on my business, increase my skillset and play golf everyday. I'll mention that life has become easier and I have become a bit complacent but I am hustling to save for the next one which will happen within a year.
      I think you're fine with your decision to buy two as you probably got them at a great interest rate. How is it being a landlord? Were you a homeowner already?

    S&P has historic returns of roughly 10% year over year. Whatever you have invested today will double every 7 years based on the history, and that’s not even factoring for if you keep adding money to that portfolio.

    • @kohare2431
      @kohare2431 ปีที่แล้ว

      However, gold has historically had more gains than the S&P 500 Index, so many investors believe investing in gold has more potential for higher returns. Due to the 2008 recession and the COVID pandemic, S&P 500 returns have been underperforming compared to gold.
