I don't normally post these types of videos but it is a "walking" video and this is my experience in Trinidad. So in all fearness, I think i owe it to you to show 'TRINIDAD NOW"
The backwardness in Trinidad. Is mind bugling. This is 2023. Big brother is watching you all over. I cannot understand why some establishment see this as a negative? This is free advertising. People video tape all over the world. It’s part of everyday life! Geez!
My sentiments EXACTLY… all my videos have been positive this far but in this case I need to call it like I see it. This is my experience. Why wouldn’t an establishment want free advertising.
Did u think this is the very same reason they didn't want u to tape. U tubers in Trinidad need to hv some respect too and accept that not everyone is cool with them taping..that's not infringing your rights in any way and its within their right bc its their establishment. No is no and it is petty and small minded..Some ppl don't want to get taped to so u will be mking customers uncomfortable. U all getting carried away with this new world order liberal american thinking..since wen is it a 'I should be allowed to do as I want otherwise u are no good'? That's a spoilt entitled attitude. U all so quick to bash Trinidad but u wouldn't do it outside..always shaming Trinidad and that's the difference with trinidadians and foreigners.
Fair point, and I agree that not everyone wants to be recorded on video, even I don’t like being recorded. But when I am in public it happens and a good example of this is the TV stations and news stations. We are always being recorded by the media and we don’t have a say in fact this has been happening since the television was invented. I am not saying it’s right or wrong but it is what it is. In the privacy of your home you are “entitled “ to that privacy but when you are in public that expectation of privacy becomes “unrealistic “ and even though I am displeased when I end up on someone’s video I really don’t have a say in the matter. But thank you for your point of view.
One final note though, just for general information I always try NOT to record people as far as possible and whenever someone ask me not to film them I always respect their wishes and remove them from my video. In many cases where the person is in my frame for a few seconds I stop and ask them for permission even though I don’t have to I just want them to know what I am doing.
What a ridiculous system. A huge ultra-modern mall that most people can't afford to actually shop in. Out in the parking lot, the cars are worn, old and dirty. It's just a culture of putting on appearances.
I would be inclined to agree with you if the business owners were first time business owners or mom and pop business owners. But in this case the owners are owners of a lot of businesses in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. Therefore that level of inexperience does not apply. They seem to be accustomed to having things their way just because they say so.
I was thinking about visiting the new mall but why bother now.... i wouldn't visit a place where I am not comfortable especially if I am not doing anything wrong and I may be harrased.
i went there in a good mood but I don't like when people try to take advantage of other people especially when the directive comes from management.....
Looks like a newly built mall..sorry you can’t film more..wonder if someone was getting attacked and someone needs to film what will be the outcome..hmmmm..Keep Walking though
@@naturebackgroundsounds I haven’t been there since that day… I felt really embarrassed that I live in a country where I am not allowed to film a public place. This is the ONLY place I experienced this. And to make matters worse the mall was almost empty.. no one to really film which I avoid anyway.
Many malls and shopping centers have policies that restrict or prohibit photography and videography on their premises without permission. These policies are often rooted in concerns over privacy, security, and protecting the business interests of the mall's tenants. Before recording, it's a good idea to check the mall's policy or speak with mall management. If caught recording without permission, they may ask you to stop, delete the footage, or even leave the property.
I hear you, there are signs all over TRINIDAD &TONAGO that read “PARKING FOR CUSTOMERS ONLY” I understand these signs and a lot of people adhere to them however, according to the “LAWS IN TT” those signs makes no sense. So even if the mall has a policy against filming it is senseless. Some of us will never be comfortable with mental slavery. I follow the law not what “massa” says.
Sometimes people in authority tend to make us ignorant people believe they have the authority or the right to do something they do not have the right to do. But they succeed only because “we” do not realize our own rights in these matters. Keep filming …. They have no right to stop you.
We should respect the Mall owner's policy and stop being ignorant to rules that's why we are so lawless. Mr Aboud and they made certain that visitors are comfortable and safe. The Mall is beautiful and it reminds of Kings plaza New york
Thank you for your point of view, and with regard to the rules… there are rules in our laws in T&T with regards to public spaces. I am well aware of them. But when others in authority try to break the rules by infringing on the rights of others then those are not rules. As for Mall’s policy.. make it official … that’s their prerogative.
It always amazes me how people are so ready to abandon simple reasoning because someone in authority says so. A police says you have 24 hours to report an accident and we accept that even though that is illegal. Are we still in slavery days when the those in authority can just infringe on your personal rights as a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago and we are just supposed to fall in line because they say so. Really!!! So disappointing
I don’t agree with the tagline of this video as it’s a click bait. I would not post a video with a headline like this because you were stopped from filming, I don’t agree with the policy of no filming but I will not post something so negative because of their policy. Just my 2 cents on the small mindedness.
thank you for your comment.... it's the first time i ahve been accosted by so many security guards over a simple walk in an empty Mall. but I do appreciate you taking the time to express yourself.
I think the tag line is very strong but it got my attention. And I must admit I agree. I think more people should highlight bad customer service in Trinidad in Trinidad and Tobago. The owners want you to visit their establishments and then they want to treat us like cattle. We have to beg for good service and feel awkward when we are doing nothing wrong. Keep up the good work with this channel. The videos are very relaxing and well accepted.
@@naturebackgroundsounds that’s the thing… it’s small minded to be bothered by someone that infringes on your rights and freedoms and just ruins your day. Why? Because it affects someone’s bottom line. Those days are gone now.
I just had to take a screenshot of your comment @edwardaboud6697 this is PRICELESS.
