Hi MrSealyP, I agree with MrsSealyP about showing more of what you do. I have a little constructive (I hope) criticism. You spend so much time doing stuff off camera, that you spend a lot of the time on camera just talking about what you did while standing around. I really enjoy the times that you start a job, say "I will see you in a moment" and then rant about something while you continue for the next 10 minutes. :) When you were explaining how you use the Big Bag Handler, I was disappointed when you didn't just do the job, just moved some logs around and then cut to something else. I love your videos and I don't know if you will read this but I just had to give some feedback.
Good job MR. SealyP. I would like to add I am on PC and there was a game freeze here if you have the wood splitter mod it, causes a game freeze if you take it out (I Deleted it). The sawmill works great. I have an Auto load and Unload Log trailer, and to save time I load it with my loader and Auto unload in the mill pond. Then go back and get another load. The logs Float on the water and fill up the pond like they would in a real mill. And go up the log ramp. I think it looks mor realistic.
I never did get around to commenting on the last, but I can tell you from personal real world experience that if you can't lift that pusher able axle (the 4th axle, also known as a tag axle) then that will cause you all kinds of traction issues. Personally I'd get rid of it and just go with the standard twin screw setup. (Lets see how many of my fellow SealyPeeps know what I'm talking about) here in the PNW, which has a very massive and lucrative logging industry (Warehouser, Simpson, Boise-Cascade to name a few of the big boys) we do have 4 axle log trucks, but they also have 4 axle trailers and are running at a max GVWR of 105,500lbs over 8 axles. BUT, they aren't running up and down the mountains with their tag axles down. Let me tell you, nothing causes you to pinch holes in your seat (another bit of trucker lingo) like going up a mountain on a one lane gravel road than to come face to face with a 80,000-105,000lb log truck going down! I've been thoroughly enjoying this map, expansion pack and this series, BUT have not been able to do ANY multiplayer with my son since this pack came out. No clue as to what the issue is, but it's very annoying. Great series, great episode! This is the only Silverrun series I've been watching, other than Driver53's educational bits.
If you have "free " planks at the sawmill there is probably a mod conflict. BC1444601 lists different mods that conflict with the new DLC in GIANTS Forum Section. I had them and the Roller Coaster also stopped building until the conflicts were removed.
That lizard pick up has a Goose neck hitch so you could change your trailer to a Goose neck. Its under a flap that opens automatically when you go under the trailer and press to attach.
As always, excellent video! As a friendly suggestion, sell the more valuable trees, (ponderosa & log pole pine) and take the spruce and pine trees to your saw mill. 😎👍
I grew up on a farm and you work on a farm or had one in real life my dad said do you know the difference between a good farmer from a Great farmer washing your equipment from your truck and tractor and everything else to keep down the wear and their in the long run it will save you a lot of money 💰💰💰💰 plus it makes them look looking great it's a fun fact 💞👍
Change the trailer attach system behind the Pick up. Its rear wheels are up in the air. Change the log trailer upright spacing. you need to get the lift log equipment between the center sections of the uprights. Stop swinging the view from side to side. 'oor billy when't pale' I plan on a MB Unimog as a GP truck with front and back 3 point linkage and PTO's so I can pull/mow/plough/bale/carry/etc...
Glad to see you managed yo recover your account and your videos. All that hard work, must have been a worry. Got a temperature and not well so this is perfect relaxation
Hi Paul. Loving your vids. For your cantainer You will need to use the new dlc lowloader. And then go to the south sawmill and use the forlift that you get for free from there. It's inside the building keep up the great stuff wish you could do more
48:00 Ahhahaha, I am forever rolling my log trucks. I mean, I flip it 5-6 times every session. I can't imagine being on console with no superstrength on this map. Fun fact: the rivers in the interior of the map are all shallow enough to drive through, only the big river in the south gets deep.
Well you can do whatever you wish to do I would recommend when buying a log cutter machine to go with the Rottne H21D as it can cut down most thicknesses of trees. Also there is a mod semi truck the lizard Roadrunner+950HHHP mod which I have found to be the best semi truck so far for the game. Happy logging.
Just a note on the deadwood contracts. The trees are worthless, but 3 times doing them has led me to collectables I would likely have never found otherwise. On doing things off camera. I personally would also prefer to see you do more on camera and less off camera. I like to watch you and other youtubers work. Also helps feel the progression and the struggle, and to get tips on how others do things so I can get better. For the harvester, if you wanna go a little differently, the Volvo EC250DL with the harvester attachment is a nice intermediate. Especially if you do not have to drag trees far from a central processing area. I use it and it is nice. You can cut trees by hand, drag them with the winch and tractor and then cut them into a pile with the processor. I found it was easier at the start, and now I have a tree harvester as I move further away from my main yard. Also you can have the planting head on this, so you can replant with it. I cleared the area around my yard and now I replanted lodgepole pines, which grow pretty quickly. So I can process those in the yard and use the harvester to expand further out. Something to consider maybe, also so you get to use more of the kit that is in the platinum DLC than to use things you already tried. Always more fun to try the new stuff. I love the 250DL.
Just IMHO I think the off camera parts are fine as they are usually driving around or repeating operations already shown. I do appreciate his hydraulic handling/reversing skills though, I've certainly learned by watching. MrSealyp already packs a _lot_ of content into almost an hour of video, and that's about all I want to want to watch. But "that's like, just your opinion man," I read an article that super-long-play format (multiple hours) is gaining strength. SpiffingBrit just released a special 11-hour video (what!?). It's also a _lot_ of work to ask the creator to script, record and edit hours of content. I wouldn't want him to burn out as many have. Maybe MrSealyp could run a poll on and get the opinion of his subscribers? (he also has all the YT breakdown stats on viewers/popularity)
I've made the suggestion previously to do more work on camera. At the end of the day the only reason a lets play goes 30 eps is because that's what he puts out. It could be 60 eps and show all the work but it is what it is.
@@SomeTH-camGuy Fair call, it's not for me, but that's just my opinion, which could be in the minority. Over at DieselCreek the videos are getting longer and longer for the reasons you say. I understand there is a move towards watching much longer videos. I like to watch some repair/refurbishment videos but I don't think I could stand to watch the entire 5-10 hours or whatever of the whole process tbh. I have more than enough reno work at home to endure 1:1 time scaling on it.
Yes deadwood is worthless. I did a test of many different type of chippers with the same sized tree. I got somewhere between 20 & 30 liters of chips per tree Go ahead and continue deadwood contracts but just leave the trees
Hi Mr P, silage bales have worked like that from the start of fs22 only contract silage bales ferment instantly. I don’t use that style of mixer for TMR but doesn’t it load from the front using the pick up and elevator I’ve seen people chop and load there straw and hay bales that way into the mixer.
Great episode mr sealy p the bag handler from csz is a no brainer it’s brilliant I am doing sheep on my map Ime put then down by the other saw mill in the grass field and I put spinnery and tailors next to them works well really enjoying your episodes thank you
Just a heads up MrSealyP, the new tree types on Silverrun are worth more than twice as much as the base game trees. So sell the new type trees and put base game trees in your sawmill. Not the Sequoia trees though, they are protected and not worth hardly anything.
Yes Lodgepole and Poderossa - I tested the volumes into the sawmill and for fully grown trees. Lodgepole 7071 Poderossa 6401 compared to Spruce 4970 & Old Pine 3067. Oak and Elm give more volume but can’t have a harvester used on them and they are a pain to load and transport so not worth the effort.
driver found out that the trees from the Platinum Edition, 9 Meters is the best bang for your buck, all the trees prior to Platinum Edition, 6 Meters. and that the American elm tree is the best tree for carpentry (the most Liters for any tree)
Mr.Sealyp maybe if you put the deadwood logs into the old sawmill you can make lumber with them I tried it it adds to the count for the qokd in the old sawmill try it 👍 video Mr.Sealyp
If you choose the "work horse" option for your pickup, then put the pickup bed, or flat bed attachment from the TLX3500 you'll have the ability to adjust your trailer tongue height.
I truly like the land Rover but it doesn't do the work for you it's doesn't have the power needed i truly love the pickup truck and I love Brent orange 🧡 color 💞👍
I play on PS 4 and I was’nt able to get free planks from the store. I guess giants have changed it. :( great video as always SealyP. Not the store I meant the sawmill.
Love the mill pond animation! And the new truck! And the new log trailer!!!😃 oh yeah, the new tractor trailer pulling the log trailer looks more like a logging truck 👍🏼👍🏼
I've had the same with the map/screengrab thingy, took out my gearbox as well. I'm considering it may be the lowloader mod as we both are using the same one for a cheap start off however that's just a hunch/speculation
I also some problem to haulwith the tlx lorry. But the biggest and weirdest was when I was hauling a 40t trailer full of logs and tipped over. I disconnected the trailer and the lorry started spinning around as crazy. I Got a black screen. The only thing that was showing was the hud and speedometer. The speed showed 2500km/h and accelated. I could tab to it but it wasn't on the map. Restarted the game and it was still black screen 🤣🤣🤣 The only way was to sell it through the store menu. I bought the new volvo fh 550hp. No problems at all. I have overloaded trailers to the max and no wheelspinns at all
The deadwood is a waste of time man, just let it go. Lol The sawmill produces tons of woodchips when running without spending all the time of dragging, loading and running the deadwood through the chipper. Just cut them down and leave them where they fall and don't look into your rearview mirror when you leave. Lol
hello, Mr. Sealyp do you remember the tree harvester that attaches to the three-point link of the tractor it is a cheaper alternative and it works on big and small trees. I forgot the modder who made it. but you will need a heavier tractor
Hey mate I know I’m late to the party, but. I’ve only just installed Silver Run on my Xbox and the map won’t let me purchase any of the land with the existing sawmills etc on it!? Just wondering what I’ve missed or should I just re install it??
The CSZ pallet lifter I have waited for almost one year since the start of FS 22 is here ,BUT why haven't they fixed that when trying to pick a pallet of a trailer it lifts the whole trailer. I hope there are plans to fix this. I really hate using pallet forks!
Deadwood is worthless...however, the tree devourer minus the pipe has a 50k capacity and is $25000. Planks arent free since production Revamp got updated. $7027 per pallet now
Hopefully an update fixes the issue with that truck, it doesn't like to turn correctly all the time..like if you let off the gas and try to turn while coasting
Ooo 😮liking the extending log trailer, any idea what length logs fit when closed and open? Also what is it like for stability, I’ve been using the 82Studio TLX Log trailer but I find it very unstable when fully loaded.
Swap out the trailer for the other 82 studio one (50Ft Gooseneck) it has a wider wheel base or try the 53' Dropdeck by macktrucker. One thing I have learned is don’t load them past the top of the poles as this upsets the game physics, the higher the mass of the object (trees in this case) the more the game pulls on them.
@@hybrid9mm yea not at all a fan of the goosenecks, I’m British, to me they just look goofy 🤷🏼♂️ That’s probably my issue as I often load past the poles. There is a new trailer out in the last couple of days which comes as a pack but I forget the name of it. That has adjustable centre of gravity, although I haven’t worked out how your supposed to see what it’s set on.
The dropdeck is my current go to as it has a rear hitch and I’ve been able to fit 2 log collection contracts on it. My current set up is, TLX Phoenix, 53’ dropdeck + Schwarzmueller Low Loader3A (you can put trees on this to lol) The Fliegl Timber Runner Pack has the adjustable centre of gravity, I completely missed that I’ll have to give it try. I’m a Brit to so the American stuff is a bit odd but it does work surprisingly well 👍 Ps we do use goosenecks in the UK it’s mostly used for extreme heavy haulage and technically the low loaders we move diggers on are also gooseneck, but that’s why it’s not seen very often. (I worked in logistics for a while)
@@hybrid9mm yea that’s it the Fliegl Timber Runner, I’ve loaded the 4 axel one up with 15 meter logs (so they hang out the back). It said something about looking at the posts to see where it’s set at but I can’t see any markings. Haven’t driven it yet but hopefully with the Centre of gravity down it will be stable. And yes a gooseneck in the UK is sometimes seen on heavy haulage low loaders but not quite the same design, and the American pickup one’s definitely look goofy for my British brain to comprehend 🫣 I’ve been driving HGVs for 20+ years but haven’t driven a gooseneck.
@@aquanick2001 if I figure out those trailers I’ll let you know 👍 yeah our trailers are chunky compared to the US ones, I don’t understand the skinny neck it looks odd and weak lol. In game I’ve found they are handy from a manoeuvring perspective and they don’t catch the wheels but attached to a dolly they look sketchy lol. I worked for Cranleigh freight for 3 yrs they had a few weird trailers and as they are based on Dunsfold aero drome (top gears home) I saw the BBC rocking some really cool kit.
Next time you do a deadwood contract stand in the spot where you cut down the last tree and complete the contract. The trees simply respawn...This bothers me. I know it is a function of the game and it gives you the next round of contracts, but it just seems so pointless to me. I just spent the last 5 minutes cutting these dead trees down and poof, they are back...I stopped doing rock and deadwood contracts. Just not worth the effort really, when I am already making too much money on this map...
I am on ps5 as well and none of the accepted contracts locations get marked like I see it for you. I have searched online and went through the options but can't find anything to solve it. It's quite painful as I first have to go into field buying mode just to see the field numbers to have an idea an than have to drive around in the area to find the pile of logs. If anyone knows the solution please let me know.
@Mr. Sealy P you should look around that park area when you first turn off onto that dirt trail with the TLX 2022, you will find a dog there 😉 it would help you out with your funds 🤙🏽
@MrSealyP - Paul, ALL the outputs at the Old Sawmill need to be set to "spawning" not "storing" to get them to output onto the spawn points, including the woodchip dump.
@@Hedgehobbit On PC, in my game, the Old Sawmill (and all the production buildings including 3rd party mod ones) on Silverrun Forest offer spawning as an output option. Storing keeps the output goods inside the factory "hidden". To see the goods in the spawn point for manual movement, you have to choose "Spawning" in the productions page of the ESC menu. This option is not added by a mod - it is there by default on Silverrun and all the other Giants maps.
My biggest complaint with Silverrun: The map is too easy, even on hard economy. It is a beautiful map, and the coaster and boat productions are great! I have had a lot of fun on this map...still am. But, it is just way too lucrative. Between logging (which you are kind of forced into) and free ore, how can you NOT become a millionaire overnight? How could it be better? I don't know....I wish they made you work for the ore for starters. It would be awesome to mine it yourself. Maybe things to come? Anyway, not a complaint, there are enough of those with the anti-forestry/productions crowd. I love the map. Just an observation...It is just too easy...
The main thing making logging prohibitive for most casual players is the fact that to really get anywhere, you need close to $1M or even more in equipment to make it worth doing, so I disagree that it's too easy. Even the example you sited the metal production: yes you get the ore for free, but you have to pay out a honking quarter million for the refinery! I think Giants did a good job making forestry attractive to do, while still presenting hurdles to cross.
Don't use a harvester, only small equipment, nothing new and only used. Other than that, just do dead wood and rock breaker contracts. Sounds like boring though. Honestly I've been spending more time on other forestry maps, like Bear Creek Logging, using the new equipment. But I feel ya
@@TheBiggRiggz I played a round where everything goes, started with 1 million, bought all the productions, etc just to feel the map out. Completed the coaster, built several boats, built up may farm (animals, no arable)...A few days ago I started another save. I started new farmer, but sold everything except the volvo tractor, the winch, my chainsaw and the land and set it to hard economy and set my money to $22 (my trademark, enough to buy a meal and coffee). But even hand cutting the trees on my land and dragging them to the south mill with the volvo I made enough to get things rolling within hours. I hear what John Marks above you is saying, and I suppose once you get the hang of this game the challenge decreases greatly. But still...I just find this particular map too easy.
Great episode Mr S. As for the TLX truck , I had the tri axle too and kept getting wheel slip , so changed it to the double axle , worked a treat 👌🏼
Plus your beautiful truck it's a very cool toy lol 😆😆😆😆

So did you ever figure out what facility you were going to build for $110,000 to help with the dead wood?
I'd always like to see more on camera
I've found a deer, owl, fish and dog so far 🤙🏽😉
There this a collectible on the lily pads on the first bridge you been over
The CSZ pallet lifter I have waited for almost one year since the start of FS 22 is here ,BUT why haven't they fixed that when trying to pick a pallet of a trailer it lifts the whole trailer. I hope there are plans to fix this. I really hate using pallet forks!
stump at old sawmill at woodchip is a collectable
Just use a tree removal tool and remove the deadwood and woodchip at the sametime to do the contract.
Awsome my brother
Happy Sunday 2 u mr sealy p 👊💯💙🤣
Another TH-camr called ‘Scarvarg’ seems to be making a better profit from deadwood, but I’m not sure how!
Sorry sealyp the weight on the 5th wheel has nothing to do with it if you go back and watch your video you can see the truck stuck in neutral
Yes your right I tested it last night too , needs to go to workshop and select the verdestein with the white triple icon not red icon no more issues
Deadwood is worthless...however, the tree devourer minus the pipe has a 50k capacity and is $25000.
Planks arent free since production Revamp got updated. $7027 per pallet now
Production Revamp is a PC mod and MrSealyP is playing as always on PS5
A think the woodchips are a litreage per hour mr p. E.g it says 11L in saw mill think thats 11L per hour 🤔
If you get a pick up get the TLX 2022 with the TLX 3500 flatbed it's a great combo
Hopefully an update fixes the issue with that truck, it doesn't like to turn correctly all the time..like if you let off the gas and try to turn while coasting
Nothing will Spown at the old saw Mill for me Great video more like and subs please
There are two areas with yellow paint marks--check the area east of the sawmill for a small open sided roofed structure where the products spawn.
top of iron mine is rock at tower collectable a wolf
Ooo 😮liking the extending log trailer, any idea what length logs fit when closed and open?
Also what is it like for stability, I’ve been using the 82Studio TLX Log trailer but I find it very unstable when fully loaded.
Swap out the trailer for the other 82 studio one (50Ft Gooseneck) it has a wider wheel base or try the 53' Dropdeck by macktrucker.
One thing I have learned is don’t load them past the top of the poles as this upsets the game physics, the higher the mass of the object (trees in this case) the more the game pulls on them.
@@hybrid9mm yea not at all a fan of the goosenecks, I’m British, to me they just look goofy 🤷🏼♂️
That’s probably my issue as I often load past the poles.
My current set up is, TLX Phoenix, 53’ dropdeck + Schwarzmueller Low Loader3A (you can put trees on this to lol)
The Fliegl Timber Runner Pack has the adjustable centre of gravity, I completely missed that I’ll have to give it try.
I’m a Brit to so the American stuff is a bit odd but it does work surprisingly well 👍
Ps we do use goosenecks in the UK it’s mostly used for extreme heavy haulage and technically the low loaders we move diggers on are also gooseneck, but that’s why it’s not seen very often.
And yes a gooseneck in the UK is sometimes seen on heavy haulage low loaders but not quite the same design, and the American pickup one’s definitely look goofy for my British brain to comprehend 🫣
I’ve been driving HGVs for 20+ years but haven’t driven a gooseneck.
@@aquanick2001 if I figure out those trailers I’ll let you know 👍
yeah our trailers are chunky compared to the US ones, I don’t understand the skinny neck it looks odd and weak lol.
48:39 MrSealyP Drops his Load
Why can’t I buy the sawmil? Ps5
Nvm I got it. On here u have to go to the place to buy and not just use the map to buy
At the time of watching this, wood planks are now not free. For me anyway.
Must have been a patch or its different for xbox. Not sure.
It's a mod conflict related to using a mod that alters pallet capacity etc.
Is it safe to say construction simulator has come to an end for those of us who were watching that.
we can only hope...
does anyone know whats causing the game to crash constantly ? ...is it some kind of mod conflict ?
No problems here so yeah, it probably is. If you are on PC you can check the log by hitting the tilde key as it loads.
is it just me or has anyone else noticed that you can have more than 1 sleep trigger on silverrun
Giants incorporated that months ago. You can have multiple sleep triggers on any map.
@@seanobrien7169 note to self, keep up to date with fs updates/developments 😅😅
@Mr. Sealy P you should look around that park area when you first turn off onto that dirt trail with the TLX 2022, you will find a dog there 😉 it would help you out with your funds 🤙🏽
Take that back, not a dog, a deer lol
If you're only going to show logging once on a logging map then what's the point? It's a logging map.
Don’t get rid of the Land Rover, they are really popular in the states
Hopefully the Landrover will return as a leisure vehicle when MrSealyP is richer!
I'm having major issues with game crashing on my ps5. Anyone else got this issue.
Nope, works fine
@MrSealyP - Paul, ALL the outputs at the Old Sawmill need to be set to "spawning" not "storing" to get them to output onto the spawn points, including the woodchip dump.
There is no "spawning" option. Only storing, distributing, and selling.
@@Gazbeard There is no "spawning" option in the base game. You've got a mod there somewhere.
@@Hedgehobbit call me a liar all you want then go watch my latest FS22 video - all 8.5 hours of it, and you'll see I'm not lying.
@@Gazbeard I'm not calling you a liar. All I'm saying is that you've got a mod that made a change without you realizing it.
Is the logging Or lumberjack mod still available,, Wondering if you could make the dead wood into firewood
100%. Ive just completed the rollercoaster and built my first boat, Im thinking now what do I do.
