This band and their contribution to music with all their hits and talent ,has only one place and that is the Rock Hall of Fame!!! Thanks for the music Orleans!!!!!
Still as good today when people learnt play good singers and musicians no auto tune or or just people talking and kids think its great not thinking they could do there self shame these days are gone with bands keep it up Orleans great good job there's still bands today like you keeping it alive 👍
Thanks, believe it or not, I had never heard the 1970 original version of this tune, nor had I heard of Boffalongo. Just awesome, you can hear Doc on background vocals in the original.@@warrencurrier5285
Not quite right. Sherman Kelly who wrote the song was the brother of Orleans' drummer Wells Kelly. Sherman Kelly was in the band which recorded it first in 1970, Boffalongo. Wells convinced his band, King Harvest, to record it in 1972 but by then Wells had left the band and was one of the members forming Orleans the same year. Ironically Sherman Kelly joined King Harvest in 1973 after they had the hit with the song he wrote.
Doesn't anyone remember the original release in the UK ? And by far the very best version by the band " High Broom " ? I bought it on the pink Island label in 1970. Check it out on TH-cam .
Heard that Boffalongo wrote and recorded that song after Sherman Kelly was savagely attacked by a gang, and he envisioned a celebration of life while recovering. King Harvest had a hit with it afterwards. Great feel good song!!
BostonDanny -- just discovering these -- I had somehow never seen them before. Is it possible to get originals of them for Opus 40's collection? A beautiful tribute to Larry.
Think you are good at guitar ? You might be . But take an acoustic and bang this out AND sing and do this good ... I will cross the darn country to tango in front of you there . Plus I will shower and drink less than usual , so I don't throw up on your stage . .

Love the acoustic guitars!
Great blend, sharp, musical, quality, enjoyable. Right on, guys.
Their vocals are so spot on. They could do a good cover on just about any song.
Orleans is one of my favorite bands from the 70’s. They had so many great songs but I still think their masterpiece was Waking and Dreaming.

Man I felt old as a serious professional musician but, this made me sad. We shouldn’t be reduced to this.
Not bad, I'll give it a C+
