Weight training will take anyone several evolutions forward. Some people make the mistake of discounting heavy lifting thinking it's going to make them slower somehow. Heavy lifting is going to tremendously increase your stability, balance, and range of motion if you're doing it right, on top of make your smaller connective tissues way more resilient (if you're doing it right) Think of every rep like throwing good techniques in Muay Thai. Same attention to detail and consistency. I'd massively recommend kettlebells too, nothings made a difference on my endurance like doing snatches for 5 minutes straight.
Yes. HIT training has been a huge help in my training as well. I started out with a simple routine from body builder Mike Mentzer and then tailoring my routine as I go for Muay Thai sparring and fights. I’m glad weight lifting has helped Tito aka The Prince of Muay Thai 🙏🏾

Coach great video, besides the dumbbell exercise where else do you guys fit in core work? Is that part of the HIIT regimen once a week? I'm usually too tired after class and sparring to get any good core work in.
@@KMAAcademy2020 my son has 3-4 kickboxing classes a week, each 2 hours, so i am afraid will not recover properly with two weight lifting sessions a week :(
