I want to thank you for showing me this beautiful world!!! Being handicapped, I will never see these places but I see them through your eyes. Congratulations on Caroline too!! You must be very proud parents of such great kids. Keep these great videos coming and stay safe.
@ecofundi6001 - Lando is enjoying his time at the island with Dan and Pete. He will probably come with us on the second half of our cross Canada journey. 👍🏻
Thank you , 84 in Care Center after knee surgery that may have to be repeated, that I just learned today. I needed your easy voice and beautiful views. I’ll be watching for sometime, the news of your Daughter’s engagement was very exciting! Enjoying!!!
Good Morning ☀️ Thank You for taking us along!! This is going to be epic for me and all those that can’t drive. To look at the wonderful places, to hear the sounds and to remember the excitement of the what’s next down the road. Praying for a safe trip!😊
I traveled all thru the northern parts of Vancouver island a few years ago, and yes it is Very hard too leave. Once a lead battery goes below 12 bolts it is junk. It may be usable when charged immediately but let it sit for a day and it needs replacement. I switched all my vehicle start batteries to ANTI GRAVITY LITHIUM batterys, first one 5 years ago in my daily, then 3 years ago in my rv starter. They work amazing and even at -25 started my daily better than any agm or lead could do at that temperature. The one time I left a dome light on I went to start the next day, and well nothing. Anti gravity have a 12 volt cut off , so I pushed a button on the supplied remote and it started right up just like normal. There is a button on the actual battery as well. The FANTASTIC thing is I in my lifetime will Never have to buy another battery, priceless as the commercial used to say ! Loving the trip so far , hope you head east thru the northern areas of alberta and Saskatchewan as much as possible. Everyone seems to stay south of the half way mark and really the best parts of those provinces are in the north, where Saskatchewan is all trees and millions of lakes instead of bald prairies. CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS Steve h.
Thanks for the tips on the batteries. This time because of the time of year, we’re probably doing the South part of the prairie provinces but plan to explore the north country more in the fall.
I can't stop smiling. So much natural beauty!! But, what makes it even better is seeing someone else appreciate natures beauty as much and me. Wish I were 40 yrs young so I could do it too. May God continue to Bless and Protect you both while you continue your travels and explorations.
I bought a handheld magnet with telescoping handle to pick up nails in my extended yard. Not worth getting blood poisoning. Won’t take up much space, consider it safety gear.
It reminds of Nania and Lord of the Rings, the water on the beach reminds me of home at the back of our house was an awesome creek we use to swim and catch eels and pick watercress for boilups😢thank you for sharing your journey with us my friend and letting me remember all the fun I had as a kid❤❤❤❤take care and stay safe, love from kiwiNZfamz❤❤❤❤
Such amazing content. My husband and I have begun watching, from South Africa. Would love to learn to capture our holidays like you capture your travels. What a legacy!
I've enjoyed your road trips so much that I've purchased transport to go travelling on our fee days ,it's the best thing I have ever done ,I thank you so much .xxfrom great 🇬🇧
Seeing how those folks dropped everything to help with your truck reminds me to appreciate how many wonderful folks there are out there. Sometimes its easy to forget that. Thanks for the reminder!
Hey guys!! I know right where you camped! My husband and I stopped by that site when we explored Vancouver island with our truck and slide in camper ..we went to Holberg … but didn’t make it to winter harbor ..I wish we had. It was fun looking at all my pics on my iPhone map of the same places you guys just were on this video,. I recently lost my backroad exploring buddy to a 4year battle with brain cancer 3 months ago.. I won’t be able to explore like that anymore without him …but I’ll do my best to get to the wilderness as much as I can and safely.. just doesn’t feel the same being without him .. and might not be that safe to go alone ..so keep exploring and bringing us along so o can remember the fun times I had with my dennis.. he had just turned 52 and me 50.. way to young… but we got to go to tuktoyaktuk about the same time you did in 2022…best trip ever….i just hadn’t discovered your channel back then. Cherish every second you have together and keep smiling and going down those dirt roads even if you have to back out and turn around… ❤ I can’t remember .. but if you didn’t do the canol road in the Yukon ..that was one epic road.. north and south.
Hey guys a good jump starter if you are after another is called NOCO. I’ve used mine on dead batteries and starts straight away. Thanks for the videos we love them. 🇨🇦🍁🧸👍🏼
we did a similar tour, our "Rock-to-Rock Tour 2022" -Vancouver Island to Newfoundland. Make sure you visit Labrador and the two French Islands of St.Pierre. We arrived in Newfoundland for the Iceberg festival. This year on our 'Rock-to-Tuk 2024' we visited the tiny hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk, NT. Dip your toes in the Artic Ocean, eat Muktuk and see the Pingos!
Those white sands beaches are amazing! Love that you found a sand dollar on your first time on that beautiful beach! That was a paradise beach!! And then the camping by that beautiful waterfall! Epic!
Loving your trip so far! May I suggest EcoFlow sells a component that will charge their solar batteries but it has a system to back charge the starter battery if needed. They actually have a whole system for vans and rv’s.. Have a safe and blessed trip!
Gorgeous content in this video, thanks for taking us along with you! It never ceases to amaze me how plants grow on the North Island. Trees fall down and become a lush eco-system of their own it seems.Actually we live not far from where some of this portion of your T CAT trip takes place. Sointula on Malcolm Island just a short ferry ride from Port McNeill is another small village off the beaten path. Worked in many of the logging camps here on the north island back in the day Holberg, Port Alice & Port Hardy. Ok, you have a great trip and and I'll be there along with 262K of your other subscribers. Cheers
Maybe what you should be looking at is finding a way to connect your house batteries to the motor. If you can flip a switch so that you can either charge or jump start the truck from the house batteries then you might not run into your truck accidently dying.
Absolutely beautiful. We were stationed on Kodiak Island, Alaska for three years and this video reminded me of it so much. The memories of going on family hikes in the mountains and eating Salmon berries flooded back. It was the most beautiful place we had ever lived. Thank you so much for taking us along. Carol's excitement while walking the beaches reminds me so much of our family adventures. Stay safe and God bless.
Awesome video as EFRT. This is going to be such an epic experience TCAT looks so cool and so unique can’t wait to see the whole thing from start to finish. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Carol , my wife would really enjoy walking the beach with you. Whenever we walk the beach in Pacific City , Oregon we always have stop so she look for "treasures " on the shore. Looking forward to this Canada adventure.
Wow, what a beautiful and exquisite journey so far and it's only just begun. Thank you for taking us all on this Epic journey with you both. Can't wait to see the whole of this trip, it's gonna be wild for sure! ❤😊
What beautiful country. we’ve traveled all over with our Lance truck camper on a Dodge Dooley diesel and Lance truck camper. One tank of propane ran out during the night. It kicked over to electric and took the battery down. Could not start the generator jumper. Cables would not start. finally bought a noco 70 on Amazon $199. It’s still only what I would ever buy looking forward to the rest of your road trip.
This episode has earned a spot as one of my top favorite videos! I loved the Bugs Bunny wrong turn reference! I thought I was the only one that said that these days! Carol's solo walk on the beach was so incredible! Safe travels!
Awesome adventure you two will have. At the end with the waterfall I was saying to myself how is it that they find all theses waterfalls campsites and then you said you were there once before but in the winter. Still very cool can’t wait to see this new series
Thank you for sharing! I am very grateful I found your channel, to see parts of our beautiful country that I would never be able to experience and enjoy your videos !
Such a gorgeous road trip! Just FYI, Ford, Motorcraft batteries are notorious for dying quickly. I had a 2019 Ford f550 diesel and replaced BOTH batteries 3 times under 40,000 miles. Ford stood behind them. Good with NAPA. Enjoy the beauty of it all! ❤
UN know remote place and vehicle gets stuck is nightmare 😮. But some people gives their time to help you out of trouble they are like angel in that condition ❤. Hopefully new set of battery will solve the problem and the water fall location was superb 😊. Happy time trouble free journey ahead ❤❤😊
What a beautiful spot to end the video. I have never been to the island. So enjoying this series. I buy my fish from some of those folks out there...cool to see the site. Let's hope the truck troubles are finished for the duration - it is a little unnerving when you have had some trouble. But you guys are old hats at this. Thanks for taking us along.
I’m so thrilled you are exploring more of the north island! We live on the CV peninsula (halfway but part of the “north”) and ventured to Cape Scott last summer with our kids. I loved it! I can’t wait to go back & try Grant Bay next time & more! Can’t wait to see your next episode. Last summer we saw 4 motorbikes doing that trail loop in the north. Looked like an amazing adventure!
You've already shared some incredible scenery! Just beautiful! And that camp spot with your own waterfall! Nice! I live in an area that makes you think of Jurassic Park. In fact, part of it was filmed here. 😊 I am blessed to live among the coastal Redwoods. North of Avenue of the Giants on the coast. ❤
Good afternoon guys! I was in the Boy Scouts ( Eagle Scout ) and really, really enjoyed camping and the wilderness. I would have loved doing what you are doing so I'm living my dream through you and your videos. Thank you for letting me travel with you and your family. 👍❤️📹😃
Thank you for taking me on Vancouver Island. Looking forward to see the rest of it. My 2 sons live on the island. Shawinigan lake area. My husband and I have not had a chance to visit. Than you so much. ❤
Agree I would check the battery for a bad cell such as an internal short. A similar situation happened to me while with a group on a trail. My battery suddenly failed. Lucky I was able to get a ride to a auto parts store and procured a new battery, problem fixed. Fantastic places you have shared with us. Looking forward to the next upload.
I’ve gone around the world starting up chemical plants. I one thing I’ve done in every country is gone swimming in the rivers, lakes or ocean. In Russia-25 in the Kama river or in Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea or Arabian Sea. Cold or hot water good!
I rather rely on paper maps. The others send you on bad dangerous places. God bless. Sending love from Tania and Nigel in Wanganui, New Zealand ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤XOXO 😅😅
Would it be worth it to carry one of those rolling magnets with you? Do a quick pass over the site before you park (maybe avoid flat tires) and then gift the site with no nails so you're less likely to step on something. Just a thought.
When you guys are in the truck, your voice is sound a little garbled hard to hear but when you get out walking around, I can hear you clearly on TH-cam just a heads up. I love your videos thank you.
Always love all your family’s content!! Carol, epic walk ! Wanted to share a channel that might inspire, Cartwrights ! Recently started following & their most recent video shared there story! ❤❤ Travel safe , I know you must be thrilled about the journey to the wedding!!!
Outstanding scenery !! Pete, do you guys have any weapons on your journeys? You stop and explore some pretty remote areas so I'm assuming you have bears, at least.
Absolutely beautiful. This looks like a journey I'd like to do. Love my NAPA battery. Wondering if you had Optima in there. They fail all the time. I'm glad you put the link to Pete's channel as I couldn't find it. Look forward to seeing his sailing. Was fun to see you run into Chrome and Crusie on his channel. ❤❤❤

@@fluffer4049 I have not managed to watch many videos yet but did see Lando in some of them. Please may I ask what happened to him?
@ecofundi6001 - Lando is enjoying his time at the island with Dan and Pete. He will probably come with us on the second half of our cross Canada journey. 👍🏻
A magnet is useful in fire pits to extract the nails. You can also get magnetic brooms on rollers to clear camp sites.
Good tip. Thanks

The river
It is a lot. Lots of residents don’t know yet.
Yes we were just out that way along the Chilcotin. Crazy!
